The 'star' is actually supposed to be a flower, with a bit of a green leafy stem and other geegaws. http://www.mylittlewiki.org/wiki/G3_Cheerilee#Cheerilee_.28v.2.29 Cheerilee is one of the characters that changed part-way through G3, just before G3.5 started up. The Applejack could be G1 or G4, Pinkie Pie could be G3 or G4, but they are more likely supposed to be the G4 versions. And of course that version of Lyra is definitely G4.
