Elegron looked Kalus in the eye. "Turn about ninety degrees to the right" was all that Elegron said. He didn't need to say anymore, because he figured Kalus would feel stupid enough to find that the pony he was so violently demanding to see was not 10 feet away.

Windroarer watched from afar the zebras. With his binoculars he could read from the lips what Xenith had said. "Traitors don't get away easily. Best I let Flamer and Darkeye know". Windroarer started flying in the direction Flamer had gone. 

 

Windroarer reached Flamer and his Justicars. He landed in front of him but Giggler stepped in front of Flamer, giggling. "Got some news, you might like to hear it as well". Giggler stepped aside as Windroarer started telling Flamer what he had discovered.

'Ponies. Why do I put up them? Annoying things. At least Cryssi understands me. That's one good thing at least.' Zac continued to think to himself as he walked in the direction the scent took him. Eventually, he found them.

 

Cryssi: "Zac. Their you are. Sorry about leaving you behind like that. Don't blame me blame Strawberry. She took me away against my will. I'm glad to see that you are ok."

"You know, this violent situation could have easily been avoided if you simply stated his location when I asked instead of delaying me further." Kalus turned and walked towards Lasher. Stopping in front of him, and a bit too close to him. "You. I understand that once upon a time you knew a pony called Rave crystal very well. Better than every other pony in the wastes. I need to know things about Rave that only you would know. Things that he would otherwise not part with. And quickly if you can, this is quite important."

Lasher looked at Kalus blankly. "Oh yeah, what's it to you? Why should I tell you? I don't like ya, you stink of bad. I may have done a lot of bad things ma' self, but I do know bad influence when I see them. Plus it aint normal that a pony should suddenly start asking me about my former boss. To me, Rave is dead, and I don't want to do any remembering about him. He can stay under his grave like he wants".

Elegron turned to lasher "but he's not dead. He's back. I felt it. He doesn't have a physical body, so he can't directly do anything, but he's clever. You know as well as in that he has a plan. I don't trust this Kalus, but I don't want rave on the loose either." Elegron looked at the threatening pony "we need to know that you have good intentions"

"What does it take for you ponies to stop being so annoying and just comply with the questions you have been asked? I'm trying to do my job, does it matter all that much what I do with this information? Why do you continue to insist on resistance? You will give me the information I desire at once" Kalus pulled an empty memory orb out of his Pocket "or it shall be extracted by force. And since you are not a unicorn, the process of field extraction of memories into an orb, is, excruciating. So, will you comply or do I have to extract what I need?"

 

Cryssi: "Lasher, just, do what he says. He would not be asking unless he had a good reason. Trust me, I know him. And he can easily out match you right now."

Lasher looked at Cryssi blankly, then at Kalus. "You think you know pain? I bet you've never even gotten a scratch on that pretty little flank of yours. I have been tortured many times before, I've been a torturer myself, I've even tortured myself. I don't give away stuff freely. I don't care if it is for your job, or not. Information about Rave can be dangerous as it can be used for bad. You got 4 seconds". Lasher sprung from the ground and started flying as fast as he could. He had dropped two grenades down.

The team split up. Elegron jumped up, and kicked off of kalus's head, sending him to the ground as he jumped out of the blast radius. As soon as dash and strawberry were out of the blast radius, they open fired with they're battle saddles. Elegron pulled out his assault rifle and got ready in case Kalus got back up. "After this is over lasher, we need to talk."

Greenleaves barely avoided the blast, already weakened by her injuries.

Kalus felt the impact from Elegron's hoof and dashed backwards, setting up a ward that stayed around his body to defect against non magical attacks. This also protected him from the grenades and the bullets from the battle saddles. He stood back up and looked at the ponies who had all turned hostile. "Well then. It's been a while since I had a good fight. Can a group of ponies best me? No. Best to make you all die slowly. That would be best."

 

Kalus cast his spell, which created a large thick cloud of toxic fog, his mask protecting him from its effects and started throwing in a few balls of pyromancy to try and burn someone.

They knew what to do. The two unicorns combined they're magic strength, teleporting everypony just outside the cloud, and Kalus inside it. Elegron was coughing "ugh... What was that?"

"It doesn't matter, we have to get out of here!" Dash yelled

"Right... Lasher, dash, lemonade, fly us out!"

Dash grabbed Elegron and strawberry picked up cryssi again, making sure to get Zac as well, and started flying away.

 

Greenleaves was badly injured, but healing herself as best she could "lasher... We need to get out."

Lasher grabbed Greenleaves and started flying with her away. He had wanted to test out his Novasurge rifle against the cocky unicorn, but he also cared for Greenleaves. So he followed Elegron and the rest. "This unicorn is too full of himself. He will never manage to live as long as us. I doubt he will last 4 more years".

Cryssi: "Are you two insane!? Do you have any idea what you just did? He is out for our blood now and he still want the information Lashes has. He will not stop, he can and will track us to the edge of the crystal wastes if he needs to. We need to hide For a while until he give us the trail. Someplace that no one knows and can make you invisible, both body and magic. Anyone know a place like this, or we are all dead?"

"Don't blame me, lasher is the one who attacked him. Anyway, I know of one such place, but it's way too far... I have a better idea. Let's just kill him. I don't have anything against it, he's a total douche bag." Elegron pulled out his new magically enhanced combat shotgun. "This thing will go straight through armor by the way. And if his weapon is magic, then that will be his downfall. He's good, but not good enough. He will be facing multiple ponies who are highly trained, and one of them can most likely more than match his magic. But if we do fight him..." He turned to Greenleaves "I want you to avoid the fight. We're going to need a medic afterwards, after all, he's no pushover."

"Got it" came her reply.

"Oh sure, blame me for getting yourselves into this mess. I never asked you to attack him. I never asked for help" Lasher was slightly irritated. 

 

Darkeye had received the news from Windroarer. "Have five teams of Justicars ready. They are to set out against Glyphmark immediately. Tell Flamer to be ready and to intercept any zebra that tries to flee before reinforcements arrive". Windroarer nodded and took to the air once again

"Don't fight him please. I'll talk with him. He knows me, I'll figure out what he wants this information for, and if it's for a good cause, will you consider not trying and most likely failing and fighting him?" Cryssi gave a look of sincerity on her face, hoping that Elegron trusted her enough to let her do this for them.

"Where the hell am I?" I asked myself as I groaned, putting a hoof to my helmet and looking around at the strange foreign land. The last I could recall was being inside of an airship and working on experimental drugs. I looked around and saw a piece of rubble that looked like a rotor, and disbelief struck me, was it possible that the airship went down? 

 

A sharp memory jabbed at my mind as screaming filled my head and a vision of fire and explosions and I almost lost consciousness again if it weren't for the drugs. "None of this makes sense to me.." I felt my eyes watering under my helmet, if what was filling my mind was not a hallucination then everypony I knew and cared for was probably dead, not the best thing to remember or think of minutes after waking up alone in celestia knows where. "I wonder if those ponies know anything.." 

 

Forcing myself up I found various articles of cloth and metal and destroyed most of the enclave insignia on my armor and decorated over them with cloth to make it seem like I wasn't enclave, after all hearing stories of being attacked for no reason didn't sit well with me since I was in uncharted territory. As I neared the group of ponies that looked rather uneasy I decided maybe it wasn't the best idea to get myself meddled with a group that looked exhausted and diverse, half of them looked like they had been through hell but one of them seemed pissed and ready to murder anything. I paused and thought about it, lost in thought I forgot to move out of the open and stood like a statue almost.

"Well of course if he has good intentions. I just don't think he does. He would have told us otherwise, but feel free to talk to him next time we see him." Elegron said. "And lasher, you or the one who dumped grenades on him. I think that counts as attacking. I merely didn't want him to recover from that and kill you. Turns out he's a bit tougher than I thought." He looked at cryssi again "so negotiations again? Good. I don't really like killing ponies"

"I said I didn't need help. I'm well aware that I was attacking. However, you got yourselves into this mess by attacking him as well. By not wanting him to kill me, you got yourself into this. It never is one ponies fault, I would have thought you had learned that by now, considering tha--" Lasher froze as he saw Leone. He flew towards the pegasus until he was about 10 meters away. He picked up his Anti-Machine Rifle and aimed at the Enclavers head. He readied his Sniper Rifle battle-saddle from his red painted Enclave armor. "Any last words you little Enclave shit?".

Elegron teleported next to lasher and knocked the rifle out of his hooves mid-air "give him a chance to talk damnit!"

Dash flew over to the strange enclave pony "leone?! I thought you'd died!"

Strawberry lemonade quickly approached "hey, you ok?"

Greenleaves was already working on getting the strange pony healed. She turned around and looked at lasher "you nearly killed this pony, and for what?!" She was starting to cry.

Lasher was already consumed with rage. He bucked Elegron right in the face. "How dare you get in the way. You have no idea how evil the Enclave is. Every Enclaver deserves to die. They are evil" Lasher hit Elegron again and again. "You involve yourself every time you little piece of crap. You can't leave anything alone. I didn't need your help when I was attacking this strange pony, you attack caravans without very good reasons, you try to dictate the ways of life. Why can't you just leave ponies alone?" Lasher started using his rear hooves as well.

"I'll talk with him. He will not be far behind us, so I'll catch up with you later. Zac will be able to find you. Come on Zac." Cryssi and Zac took a path back towards the area with the toxic fog. Fortunately the fog had subsided, not a very long living spell. And as they guessed, Kalus was there.

 

Cryssi: "Kalus, long time no see eh?"

 

K: "Cryssi. To what do I owe the pleasure this time?"

 

C: "Ok, the ponies I am travelling with, the ones who attacked you, have agreed to not attack you again if you have good intentions with the information you wanted. So please. Tell me what it is you are doing."

 

K: "Well, I shouldn't, breaks confidentiality with the employer. But Ok. About a day ago, their was a kidnapping in ponyville. A filly by the name of Dark Sun was taken by a Dark Mist which I have identified as Rave Crystal, or what is left of him. I have been employed to find the location of Rave and report it to Darkeye in ponyville ASAP. The more information I have in Rave, the easier it is for me to pinpoint his location in the world and speed up my job by weeks. Lasher is the last lead. If he parts or I take the things he knows about Rave I will have enough to directly find him. The longer I wait, the harder this becomes, that is why I'm in a hurry. I hope this helps, but I need that information now."

 

C: "I'll see if I can't convince Lasher to part with it."

After the second hit, Greenleaves cast an anesthetic spell on lasher knocking him off of Elegron and preventing him from moving "I love you lasher, but even I draw the line somewhere! You can't keep treating ponies like this!" She was really crying now.

Elegron had gotten up and was holding a hoof over his face. Greenleaves rushed over to him and her horn glowed as she eased the pain, giving him a health potion.

Leone had been watching Lasher and wasn't surprised as he flew in the air pointing a rifle at her. "So much for blending in." She muttered under her breath.

 

She watched as the rest of the party came shouting words she couldn't understand but was relieved to see Elegron knock the rifle out of Lasher. However, she grimaces as his anger was redirected to the poor unicorn followed with ignorant enclave slurs.

 

"That's enough now." She said with a commanding voice at lasher. "And what exactly makes you in the position to condemn the members of a group to death? I have not raised my weapons against you nor personally attacked you." She was almost hoping he would attack because he was going to be in for a huge surprise.

When Cryssi arrived back at the group, she was more irritated than anything else. "Really? Can you ponies not be left together without Killinget each other. I go away for 5 minutes to try and save all our asses and you end up trying to kill each other? I don't know if I can handle life outside the WPS. You all confuse me." She dismounted Zac and approached Elegron. "Well, I have some news for you." She told Elegron everything that Kalus had told her. The kidnapping, the urgency of the information, all of it. "He is not a bad pony. But he needs this information. And if he does not get it, he will kill to achieve his goal. And in his state, Lasher can't fight back, and if he wanted to, he could kill Lasher faster than you could react. So please, see if you can convince Lasher to Part with the information Kalus wants. No little detail must be left out."

Elegron got up, mostly back to normal. "Well I might have better luck if he hadn't just tried to bash my face in for not letting him murder an innocent pony"

 

Greenleaves trotted up to the very pissed off lasher "please, this pony only has good intentions, he just doesn't know how to get the results he wants... Elegron won't be able to stop him fast enough anyway. Please, tell him what he needs to know. If not for your sake than for mine"
