"DANMNIT, I missed" he slid the bolt again, and got up to take another shot, only to have himself thrown to the ground by a griffin. The two struggled for a minute, before Elegron grabbed a nearby piece of sharp rebar and drove it through his chest. Elegron pushed the slaver off of him and grabbed his rifle again before taking a shot at one of the slaver snipers, the bullet flying straight through his enemies scope and into his head. The wasteland really was improving his skills, it was a learn or die world after all.

He heard, faint sounds of a struggle and took another go at it. Crawling along the ground for cover using the dust to hide his movements, he attempted to make for his earlier home a couple nights ago. He had a decent camouflage set up along with other supplies like preserved food and tools. Far away, it looked like another bush, but someone with above average perception could see through it if they came close enough. Letting his smoke bombs meld with the dust from the air, he crawled forward.

Elegron recognised the same smoke bombs from earlier and wasted no time. He saw the general area that the smoke was coming from, and estimated a shot that landed mere inches away from jacks face. He ducked down quickly, as a bullet collided with the rock they were behind

Dust and rock flew as the bullet came close yet again to hitting it's mark. Seconds after, a flaming Vertibird suddenly crash-landed a few feet from my location, "Damn, If it's not the locals, it's always something nearly ending my life." Taking advantage of the situation, I hustled to the cave and, kept my gun and knife handy. let him come, this time it's on my terms waiting in ambush until Rave or Elegron arrived. I took note of the anti-personnel mines buried in the area just for something like this. Hopefully they will be of some help. Atleast, I can give Rave some warning, I only need to await his response.

Dash decides to scan the area for a near by transmitter location. (Maybe I can turn the hellhounds if i can get the transmitter working.) Dash does locate an old transmitter location not far and decides to go for it. "Elegron, I am going to try something crazy. Can you povide me some cover?"

"Dash, I don't want you getting hurt... Alright then. Be fast, and don't get shot." He handed her a jar of green liquid "it's temporary, but it will make you physically superior is almost every way, I had xanthe make it for me, but you may need it more" He kissed her on the lips before getting his rifle ready "after this is over, we get some alone time together" he said smiling, intentionally implying that she would make it back alive.

Despite the best efforts from the Slavers, the superior training and equipment of the Iron Warriors, the small assault team continued to advance into the base. And with Vertibird support in the air, they pushed further and further into the base.

 

Star: "The cavalry is here. Don't hold back. Kill them all."

 

And army of near 200 Iron Warriors marched to the base, heavy weaponry in arm. And Slaver Blood on their minds.

Lasher aimed at one of Elegron's group members and fired, taking the head off. He then turned to see Dash in her Enclave armor. Rage grew up in him. He flew higher into the air and aimed for her. He started to breath slowly, remembering his training, he trained all his life with an Anti-Machine rifle, the rifle Fear having been past from generations to generations. He would be the last of his family to bear the rifle. He took the shot. 

 

Rave wandered towards the cave where Jack was, until he saw Elegron. He stopped. He looked him in the eye. He knew who he was, he heard descriptions about him. "So, we finally meet" he said coldly. "This is the so called, Stabledweller? I was hoping for more". He started walking past him, he was ready to draw his gun if Elegron tried something. He was the quickest drawer in the Ponyville area after all. He stopped when he was right beside him. "You know, you and I are not too different from each other. Or at least, not different to what I was once". He kept on walking, still ready with his rifle. 

 

Phoenix flew to one of the vertibirds. She took out the pilot and it started crash landing. She was cheering, until she got shot by an Iron Warrior sniper. She fell towards the ground. 

 

The explosives were rigged to blow. Rave held the trigger, however, he had also set a timer, just in case something happened to him.

As the battle raged on outside. One of the Demo team was sneaking about the base. Trying to find anything about the whereabouts of their leader. Exploring the tents with his Stealth Buck on, he found A passage to the armoury.

 

"Has to be something good in here that we can use."

 

Inside was something he and his team had not anticipated. A bomb. Large enough to level the base and spread ash and dust for a few miles.

 

"Star Paladin this is Demo team. Call off the assault, they have a bomb set to blow. Call off all units and pull back to minimal safe distance at approximately 1 mile. I'll see if I can disarm it." The pony set about messing with the bomb, seeing if he could try and disarm it.

 

Star: "This is your Star Paladin. Pull back. They have a bomb. Minimal safe distance one mile. Move."

 

The Warriors called of their assault making a tactical retreat out the way they came in. This was not going to plan.

Dash saw the shot and her training allowed her full speed in the armor. She took to low wing again as she barely was missed by the rifle. She continued to her target until she saw the others moving away. "Elegron fall back! The iron warriors are withdrawing. I don't know why but fall back. All allies fall back." Dash continued to pull away from the main fight. She followed her marker for the base. She even sent a tracking code to elegron via the groups private signal channel.

"Come, my friend, we can watch the destruction from the view here," trying to get Rave's attention. "This cave is deep enough that no one will suspect we survived the blast. Those pesky Irons will wish they never attacked you at all", I said with a hint revenge in my voice. "If you feel for it though, do take care of that unicorn and pegasus, they have been in our way for far too long." Then with a awkwardness, "At some point, could you train me in marksmanship? I could still help you yet in exchange."

"Rave. It's only just now that I get to talk to you, but I feel I already know you more than I would have ever wanted to." His horn glowed, and he drew a rifle. But not his own. Floating raves rifle behind him, he said "and what I know of you, is evil. Pure evil. You have no potential, and could never change." Elegron gave the signal, and his team open fired.

 

"Please dash you can't die" Elegron thought

Demo 1: "Bomb disarmed sir. This was a chemical bomb. It would have had drastic and deadly effects on the area for years."

 

Star: "Good work. Stay hidden. I have a plan." with the gunfire stopped for a moment. Star took this opertunity to try and achieve diplomatic solutions. "Attention Slavers and Mercs under the Command of Rave Crystal. This is the only opportunity you will get at this, Surrender and face justice in a court of Judgment. Or be slaughtered like animals. You have five minutes to make up your mind."

Rave dashed for cover and grabbed his rifle with his magic, seizing it from Elegron. "A thief, eh? Shooting ponies in the back. Just like me Elegron. Just like me". Rave's slavers started to come to his aid as the Ironers were pulling back. "You have much to learn. You know nothing of the Wasteland. You think you can change it? You think it will change with my death? No, ponies like me have always been around and always will be. Heroes on the other hoof are worse. Why? Because no can stay hero forever. The Wasteland does not allow any heroes. It tears them down and turns them. You'll see. Once you start massacring civilians, think of me and my words.". Rave turned his back once more as he entered the cave laughing, leaving Elegron to deal with a horde of slavers. He was escorted by a radiomare. She set up the radio for Rave. He would make his answer. "Justice? Justice for what? You are not the Brotherhood, you are a separate faction who owes allegiance to no one. How about you show your faces, you have been hiding from the battle the entire time, cowards. I won't talk to cowards. If you really want to talk, it will be under my terms and my terms only. You are welcome to continue your pointless assault. It won't change a thing. You will never be able to change anything". Rave ended the transmission. 

 

Lasher was searching for Rave. "Where the hell is he". Rave noticed a group of Ironers. He immediately started firing, taking out 2 with one shot and then dropping the others after a couple of shots. "This battle will have cost the Ironers considerable amount of ammo and vertibirds". Lasher looked over the battlefield. "It has also cost us a lot" Lasher mumbled.

Elegrons team dodged around, killing slaver after slaver. After the fight, many of Elegrons team were drinking health potions. Elegron activated a stealthbuck and snuck into jacks cave, and floated out a pair of balefire eggs, and tossed the 2 mini nuke like grenades into the cave, and dove for cover, as the entire cave shook and started to collapse from the high powered explosives.

Another group of 3 slavers attack Elegron, one shot him in the leg before a well placed grenade dispatched all 3. He downed another health potion.

Star: "If that's how you want to play. I'll play. Total decimation."

 

With a wave of his hoof, two Iron Warriors with Experimental MIRV's over their shoulders, took aim at the base. "Enjoy the fireworks."

 

The ponies fired the MIRV's, sending 16 mini nukes into the base. Anything inside it would be disintegrated in milliseconds.

 

Iron: "Sir, that was all the nukes we had. Was it worth it?"

 

Star: "Yes."

(A few seconds before.)

 

Wade had been hacking the Radio frequency in Lasher's Enclave power armour, using EDNA as a relay. Seeing the MIRV'S Wade acted fast.

 

"Listen to me Lasher. You don't know me but I know you. The base is about to be leveled and everyone killed. Slaver and Slave alike. Get out. Now!"

Elegron got on his 1 way radio with dash "the place is going to leveled get out of there NOW! I don't care about the hellhound army anymore I just want you back alive" Elegron pulled out his assault rifle and inspected the damage of the cave. If jack was still alive he was going to be so pissed, but Elegron didn't care. Jack had chosen the path of evil, and he got what he deserved.

I knew it only was a matter of time before people found about the cave, The ceiling section collapsed in one area crushing my leg, but otherwise left me unscathed. Pulling out from the rubble, a couple of the other slavers were injured, and a few were killed. For my own longevity, I passed out stimpacks among the remaining slavers and myself. I guess the only option was to see if this tunnel lead anywhere else. The entrance was fortunately barricaded and the radio set survived somehow with only a few dents. gathering my items, I prepared make a trek underground. It only a matter of time before Elegron would lower his guard, and I would be there to seal his fate once and for all.

Elegron heard movement from inside, and slipped another balefire egg through a hole in the rubble.

He heard a slaver talk "what the hell is that thing?" And then it exploded inside the already enclosed location. Anypony inside would be very lucky to survive.

Rave looked at where Jack was going. "Where are you going Jack? Are you not enjoying this slaughter? I know that I am. Those Ironer fools have only dug their grave deeper. Mostly everypony working for me has a family, family they had to feed. Now the Ponyville area will be hostile to them. Now I only have to sit and watch. Watch as the ponies kill each other, until there is no one left. Such is the nature". Rave walked past Jack. "Don't go wandering somewhere, you'll just get lost. If you want to get out, follow me. When we reach the end of the tunnel, we will find some barrels of pre-war toxic waste. Don't go near them". Rave made a signal and the surviving slavers who numbered about 10 followed his lead. He still had his two griffin bodyguards, they had never left his side. Rave was pretty sure the other griffins were all dead. 

 

Lasher leaved the area as the voice had suggested, however, he did not go too far. He was going to wait and see if Rave was still alive. If not, he would have to find a new job and a new life. 

 

Lena watched from above, stunned. "Those fools. There can be no peace while these Ironers use nukes in such a horrible and inefficient way. Make contact with my sisters. This will concern them as well".

Elegrons balefire egg had cleared the rubble, and his team snuck in, stealthbucks on. He gave the signal, and they aimed they're guns at prep lanes targets. Elegron open fired on the unaware rave, while the rest of his team shot down several slavers, leaving them very shorthanded. Elegron knew hat if he didn't kill rave now, he might never get another chance. He knew what was about to happen, and he had plan. Xanthe had stayed outside, along with the only other non unicorn. The stage was set. It was now or never.

Rave barked orders, telling his slavers to deal with the intruders. Rave grabbed Jack with his magic and ran through the tunnels. "I have been preparing for this, this is my base and I know it. I have been trying to blow up the base with my detonator, but nothing has happened. It must have been deactivated. So we are going to have to wait for the timer to set it off, about 3 minutes". Rave stopped and activated some dynamite that was attached to some support beams. As he kept running with Jack in his magic grip the dynamite exploded, caving in the path between them and Elegron's party. "I have a few more ahead, just in case they actually get through this one" Rave laughed and let Jack go. "You can run yourself now". Rave started heading down the tunnel.

Elegron used some of xanthes acid to melt the rock, and they continued after rave and jack, ready for another trap. Elegron started to catch up to rave, and was just barely behind him. Elegron drew his .44 and fired a single bullet. Not at rave, but the dynamite up ahead, closing off the cave and blocking eaves path. "Give it up rave, it's over" Elegron said, his horn glowing, as a blast of magical energy was send straight towards rave

Wade spotted Lasher and pulled up his Crossbow, loading it with a Paralysis dart. This dart would leave him motionless for up to 5 hours, but fully aware of what is happening to him and still able to speak. He pulled the trigger. Sending the dart into the back of Lasher's neck.

 

Blooddrop: "Boom. That's one down." She moved over to Lasher's now incapacitate body. "This is so much fun. What are we going to do with him?"

 

Wade: "Shush. Savour the moment. Such a large Stallion. Dropped by one single dart. You've done a lot of things in your life. And some of them have pissed off the wrong people. You're going to have bit of a stay with us. It's going to be a fun time."

Rave grabbed Elegron's magic with his, it literally went into his horn. "Ah, thank you very much. You know, there is a reason why I have a "dark crystal" as my cutie mark" Rave smiled. Rave's horn glowed dark. "So you think you can decide things around here. You are nothing, you are an outsider. You have been living a cozy life in a stable, ignorant of the world outside and now when you've stepped out, you think you can change it to your liking?" Rave shot magical green flames, trapping Elegron's friends so that they would not be able to come to his aid. Rave then presumed to fire dark bolts towards Elegron. 

 

Lasher only looked at Wade with bored eyes. "You honestly think I care. You think I care about life. Torture is nothing. I have outlived my family. You won't be able to accomplish anything, you worthless piece of scrap metal".
