Elegron dodged to the right, narrowly avoiding the attack. Elegron drew his twin submachineguns and open fired on rave, being very careful about how he used his magic. He remembered a spell. One to control stone and steel alike. His horn glowed as a chunk of rock melted and reformed into a blade, and went straight for rave.

Rave took on the bullets, his reinforced security barding taking a lot of pounding, a few got through. He grunted. "I can't be doing this. No matter how much I want to end this, I can't risk loosing Project Hellfire". "This has been fun, it really has, but I am afraid I am on a tight schedule". Rave brought forth a grenade and threw it into the ring of fire, killing one of Elegron's friends and injuring the rest. "You can either go after me and let your friends bleed out and therefore betray them. Or you can save them and let me go. Yours is the choice". Rave immediately began blasting the rocks in his way. Rave felt a little bit dizzy after having used some explosion magic. "Gah". Rave kept on running, not checking if Jack was with him or not. The only thing he thought about was getting out.

Elegron called back to his team "do it now!" All the unicorns drank mana potions, and used the extra magic, their horns glowing, combining their magic. The entire team except for Elegron was teleported to the surface, where they healed up. Elegron chased rave further into the cave. He pulled out his anti material rifle, and took the shot right at rave.

Wade got a large head ache, and a strong sense of power in the area.

 

Blooddrop: "What is it? What do you see?"

 

Wade: "I see magic. Dark magic. Hexes. Two sources, local. They a re aggressive, it's a magic duel. It's close, it's right their. It's underground. They ground is hollow. A tunnel. Names, names, names, no names. Signature too disjointed to tell. I need to to investigate. Blooddrop, take him back to the safe house. I need to see this." Wade moved a short distance to a point above some hollow ground. Right above were Rave and Elegron are fighting. Wade deactivated his limiters, and allowed his full magic power to return to him. This was deadly however as these power levels are abnormally high, and with no formal training. Will kill a pony eventually, and he lost control of his mind while like this. His appearance is also altered, beyond the point of recognition.

 

He created a large beam of magical energy, and sent into into the ground, digging his way down to the duel, creating shock waves that the unicorns below would defiantly be able to feel. "Hehehe, oh... This is going to be fun."

Rave took the shot right in his left rear leg, it being nearly ripped off. Rave started to laugh like a maniac. "Too bad your not Lasher, he would have put it through my eye, even with my head turning away from him. You've lost, you just can't admit it". Rave turned on a few more explosions and limped away as the tunnel caved in. Rave drank a healing potion. "I guess I might have trapped Jack with the Stabledweller. I guess he will have to find his own way out". Rave kept on running down the tunnel, turning on a few more explosives. He felt strange magic, magic that he knew would be harmful if it reached him. He reached the end of the tunnel and was immediately grabbed by Lena Smile's griffins. "Oh you survived, how wonderful. Take him away". The griffins beat Rave to unconsciousness and then proceeded to fly with him in the direction of the Smiles Headquarters. "We can use him, we will make him talk in our favor. Otherwise he dies" she giggled innocently. 

 

Lasher looked at Blooddrop. "You know, when I was apart of the Enclave, I was part of the advanced recon group. If any of us were to be captured by surface dwellers, we were to kill ourselves". Lasher's tongue started to go under his teeth where something little bottle like was revealed. He chewed on it, breaking the glass and allowing the liquid spread on his tongue. He swallowed. His body started to shake and foam appeared on his mouth.

Elegron recast his ward, just incase wade tried anything, he would be ready. He knew this would happen. And he was prepared for a fight this time.

Wade face was just a blank expression. No emotion was shown what soever. He was levitating himself about a foot off of the floor, and spoke in an almost whisper. Speaking very slow. "So fragile. So frail. So weak." He closed the gap between the two almost instantaneously. "How easy you are to break." He scratched the ward in a few positions and with one touch of magic. It shattered. "Why do you live if you are weak. Too weak to carry the weight of the world on your shoulders. Don't fight back. This is a mercy." Wade grabbed Elegron in a strong telekinetic grip, flinging him at a wall with incredible force, aand slowly started to crush him. "No need to thank me. This is what I do."

Blooddrop: "Don't think I didn't come prepared for your little suicide pill. Honestly. You think you can out smart me."

 

She put Lasher down and force fed him a few herbs that sholud stop the progression of the poisons he just ingested. "with how suicidal you are, I'd almost think you didn't want to spend time with me. I'm offended."

 

She needed let her herbs kick in properly and flood the pill out of his system. So she stopped and took a small rest break. "Enclave or ex-enclave, you all fall with your over confidence and brash nature. It's funny."

"Trapped here with you two eh? Nice to meet you, my name is Jack. [speech/Medicine] Do me a favor and kill this stable dweller." Seeing as how at least one pony would die in this confrontation, he only watched amused. His own life was forfeit anyway, you could only decide where and when. "I can help you, you have some very serious medical issues I may be able to aid you in your treatment.

The pill had burned Lasher's tongue off. He could no longer speak. The pill had also burned his neck and lungs, making him very fragile. One kick in the stomach and he would be dead. He only smiled at Blooddrop. "Raiders aren't any smarter you dumbass. Oh you just wait. I know who you are. Rave will kill you. He will finish what he started" Lasher thought. 

 

Darkeye saw Rave being carried away. "Hmm, I guess he is no longer in charge of things. We will set up camp outside of the Smile's HQ. We will wait". The others showed little enthusiasm. Darkeye revealed his skinning knife. The other ponies obeyed. "If they do anything to him, I will kill them. I will not let them hurt my father" Darkeye thought.

Elegron struggled against wades grip "I had hoped I wouldn't need to do this" Elegron telekinetically flicked the pin out, and emp grendes rolled out, covering the ground on the two. The entire cave was washed away in a hyperpowered electromagnetic pulse. Elegron and jack were mostly unharmed by it. Wade would soon learn the downside of being a cyber pony

It hurt. It hurt so very much. The EMP grenades hurt so much. This was all that raced through Wade's dormant mind as the bursts of electrical energy overloaded his systems. In an act of rage, Wade formed a long, jagged blade out of magical energy, and with rage, magic gains the strength of the fires of Tartarus. The burning blade plunged into Elegron's stomach, burning his insides and nearly gutting him. "I told you not to fight back. Now you die without your honour. I curse thee to an afterlife of torture in the fires of Tartarus."

 

Wade was bleeding from his eyes, nose and mouth. His body struggling to stay alive. To avoid death, his body shut itself down into a state of hibernation until the energy levels subsided back to regular levels. But this leaves him defenceless and nearly dead for a week. A price he had to pay. He business in this world was not done yet. He would not die by the hooves of such a pathetic worm. Wade fell to the ground. Now nothing more than a pile of mismatching organs, and scrap metal.

"Well, this turned out great!" I walked toward elegron and pulled out my pistol, Standing inches away from the impaled pony, I took a shot point blank at elegron's head. "Finally, the cyborg pony didn't last long but he did just enough for me to finish the job.

Elegron tapped a final button on his pipbuck before he died.

Elegron was running faster than he ever had in his life, stable security coming fast behind him. He heard a bullet whiz past his ear, and he jumped out through the massive steel door of stable 42, never to return. The tunnel was dark, and he activated the lamp on his pipbuck. He walked towards the second door, that led out to the wastes, when he saw a terminal, and a safe. He looked on the table, and saw a message from his great ancestor

"Hello, my name is twilight sparkle. I see you have made it out of the stable. Did you know it was not meant to ever open? That's right, you should not be here, but you are. This shows true bravery, knowing that you would never be let back in. This stable was made as a test. To test the will and purity of heart in ponies. The safe beside you is unlocked, and inside is a singe spell matrix. Download it into your pipbuck. We know heroes make mistakes, and those mistakes could end their life. I and Trixie came together and created this spell. Heroes second breath. Only useable by those that are pure of heart, you may rise from the grave a single time. This is my gift to the future of equestria. To the future of the world. This is a mega spell in its own right, never let it fall into the wrong hands, and only use it for good. Never give up, never lose hope, and for celestias sake, do the right thing... Or everything we've ever worked for was in vain" Elegron opened the safe, and stared in wonder at the object he held in his hooves. He downloaded the spell matrix onto his pipbuck, and felt assurance. He knew what he was going to do. He was going to be a hero.

Elegrons pipbuck glowed a brilliant blue, and his wounds started to heal. He shifted, and looked around. Nopony was around. Some time has past. He looked at his pipbuck. He had been dead for several hours. He groaned, and after a few minutes, got up. He saw wade on the ground, barely alive. "I'm sorry wade. It didn't have to be this way, it was your choice" he exited the cave, not knowing that wade was still alive

As soon as Elegron fell dead, he laughed with glee! "He is gone, gone, gone! The cyborg was still inactive and the Heroes body lie dead. Celebration was in order. He climbed out the hole and reclaiming his senses of the surroundings. The pip buck glowed a nice blue but he gave it no thought. No pony should survive something like that. Besides, he saw the destroyed base and simply turned the other way. No going back now. He only hoped for Rave's sake that he was safe. He would truly miss if Rave disappeared from the world. One tiny part of him missed that human connection he forsake all these years.

Rattlesnakes voice was heard on the radio. "Hello there good ponies. I have tragic news for you. The power hungry, foal eating and pillow stealing faction, Iron Warriors have attacked Rave's base and destroyed it. Eye witnesses from the Smiles report that they used some kind of nuclear devices to destroy it. The Warrriors lost considerable amount of ponies in order to achieve that though. It is reported that no one has survived, however, hope yet remains that Rave Crystal survived. It is unclear what will happen now, but Lena Smiles will be making a statement after an hour. These Ironers have cost a lot of families their loved ones and they have damaged the economy of the Ponyville area. Ponies, your jobs are in danger. They want nothing but to take over and dictate the way of life. Tell us how were are to live our lives. We will not stand idly while this Iron tide flows over us. No, now is the time to rise up and destroy the abominations of the Iron Warriors and the Brotherhood of Steel. This has been Rattlesnake, bringing the news to you".

Jack was long gone. Elegron exited the cave looking for dash. He turned on his broadcaster "greetings wastelanders, the attack on tenpony was not left unanswered. Rave is no longer a threat, jack is still on the loose. Wade.... Bloodrop, if you are hearing this... I'm sorry. He attacked me, and nearly killed me. Maybe he will survive. For your sake I hope so. If he lives, please, try to change his mind. I don't want to have to fight him again, I don't want ponies to be slaughtered. Please bloodrop, you can change his mind. You can save his life, and that of many ponies who he might have otherwise killed" Elegron switched his broadcaster to one way to dash "dash, I'm alive, I'll tell you more later, I'm sending my coordinates to your power armor, bring the sky chariot." Elegron switched off the broadcaster. There were a few fights here and there, but most of the battle was over. "When did wade become that magically powerful?" He thought.

Blooddrop had managed to get Lasher into the bunker safely and EDNA was preforming surgery to keep him alive. She had been worrying about Wade for the last 4 hours. Wonder what happened to him, when she heard Elegron's boardcast. It left he wide eyed, jaw dropped. And angry.

 

"That Bastard. He thinks he can... just... do that? No! No he can't. Wade is not dead. He's just late. That's all. He gets distances so easily. Ha."

 

Blooddrop had curled up into a ball stroking her tail with her wings. She knew what Elegron was saying was possible true. For what he is, Elegron does not lie. But she could not accept that Wade had been beaten by such a lowly piece of shit Stable Dweller. She cried, and cried. Eventually crying herself to sleep in the front room.

 

EDNA: "Poor girl."

Dash continued on and soon came to an old enclave base. She looks around checking for potential enemies. She then heads inside hopeing the code system still functions and her father's access codes still works. She holds a defensive posture until the door opens or denies her access.

"I am at yhe tower base. I saw what happened. I am glad your ok and have sent tracking coordinates to your pipbuck. The chariot was left with the rest of the team. Hopefully they made it out. I am about an half hours hard ride from your current location. Head south by south east away from the old base of rave. I will probably be inside."

Elegron got to the sky chariot, and everyone was already inside. He started it up after greeting everypony. After a while He saw the old base, got out of the sky chariot, and trotted up next to dash "thanks for the help, you really saved my life while I fought rave and wade" he said sarcastically

He kissed her before making a show of spinning around raves rifle that was dropped while the slaver lord was being abducted.

"Night star wasn't too happy, until I informed him that rave was beaten unconscious the moment he was taken away. I think Lena smiles will probably kill him herself"

Dash returns the kiss. "I did get the broadcast. Hope your right. So help me defend until the code proves useless." Dash remains defensive. She hopes to get in and get what she is after. She checks for the sky chariots signal. She then awaits the code entry.

"Can't you just blow the door down? I have a hellhound dagger that can cut through steel. I think about the only thing it can't cut is a pipbuck. Those things I swear are invincible." He got raves old rifle ready for whatever was on the other side of the door. "I don't know why I gave you xanthes potion, I'm the one who needed it. Wade stabbed me with a magical blade and jack shot me in the head. It's only because of a spell matrix that I revived myself, and it's gone now. It was the only one of its kind."

He would have to make peace at some point, personally he liked Elegron. His style and attitude toward life intrigued him. Finally, he got the curiousness to just make the call. Opening his radio, he said "Elegron, I realize we have a history of antagonism but I don't want this to define our relationship. Give me a call yes?" With that, he made his way toward whatever direction he was heading.

He turned on his broadcaster "I believe you have forgotten that you tried to poison me and a few other things I don't want to think about. Your lucky I was so focused on staying alive. And you sided with one of the most evil ponies I know. This doesn't put you in a very good spot." He turned off his broadcaster and waited for a reply

Hearing this, he sat on a rock, and replied, "The wasteland is more dangerous than you realize, It is as addictive as any drug. It doesn't mean that everyone is beyond reach, only that they only believe they are. You actually helped me by allowing me to kill you."

"But you didn't kill me did you. You failed. See, that's just one difference between us, I make sure I get the job done. But more importantly, I fight for good. For the innocent ponies and zebras that you gleefully slaughter on a day to day basis. I don't want to kill you, but I don't have much choice. Every minute I waste could be another pony dead. This doesn't mean I don't take breaks, after all what good does it do if I'm tired and can't concentrate? Anyway, the point is, you failed because you are evil. As did rave. You should really reconsider some of your life choices"
