Just because I act it doesn't mean i am cured you know."

"oh i know. youve more than proven your instability. if you go insane again, i could restrain you. anyway, yes bloodrop is going to be a problem. i dont think negotiation is a valid option seeing as we've tried to kill her. i say we go back to the cave where i fought rave and kill wade before he reactivates. it hasnt even been a day since then. my dagger will cut straight through his armor. rave, you know that magic you and i felt before that griffon took you away? that was wade. wade and magical corruption, and i have a feeling he wont fall for the EMP grenades so easily. sometimes within the next few days we need to prevent him from getting up and fighting again." elegron was starting to notice a difference between jacks two sides. a change in voice. it was just enough to be noticeable.

 

 

Elegron realised dash hadnt responded. he looked to where she was and saw her on the ground "DASH! jack, she needs help now" elegron sat down next to her and levitated out a healing potion for her, and tried to see what the problem was, then he saw the hole in her leg. "err.. i dont think a health potion will fix that..."

Blooddrop was going on a theory now, she knew where she saw Wade last and about were he was going. Using these puzzle pieces, she came across a hole in the ground which led into some tunnels. She dropped down and her hunch was right. "Found you Wade. You got yourself in a right bad situation haven't you. I know you are fully aware and can hear me so I'm gonna just press this." She reactivated his magic limiters, that should make him normal when he wakes up. "Let's get you home." She picked up Wade's body and carried him out of the cave and began walking home. "Soon as you turn back on, I've got a treat for you. So wake up soon."

 

Half way home, she noticed a small not on her wing. Reading it, she was quit surprised at what she was reading. "Maybe later." She put the note in her pocket and continued to walk to Wade's hidden bunker.

Coming to Dash's aid and inspecting her wound and the shattered device, "She is wounded, but unconscious. I have never used power armor, but I know a bit about how it works." I cleaned and disinfected the wound but, beyond that, there is nothing else for me to do. "The silver box is a fail safe, meant as a last resort. Everything should return back to normal when she reawakens. Fortunately, the shrapnel didn't hit anywhere vital. All we can do is monitor her and protect her while she is dormant. Now we hope for the best." Turning his back on the saddened pony, "death truly is every where, you think me crazy Elegron, but you know what i say is true. The sooner you accept death, the better you will be. My family's disappearance no longer bothers me. So why should I care where I go or when. You must understand yes?"

"dash wont die. Shes just as resiliant as I am, if not more." elegron said, repairing and cleaning his guns. he put a hoof over her, feeling her heartbeat. "and she certainly wont be killed by some raider with a half broken anti material rifle." elegron thought back to the fight "so why did it take 3 powerful ponies just to not be slaughtered by bloodrop. i didnt know she was that powerful...."

When the box is opened inside are what rave knew as joint cybernetic replacements. It seams Dash knew what she was doing. With those she could walk again.

 

Dash vitals are stable but erratic. She will be out for a while. She is breathing erratically. Maybe gettong her to tenpony or the base would be best.

elegron didnt want to reveal the base to rave or jack. he didnt trust them that much yet. "we have to get to tenpony, they can fix her there. rave, jack, you coming? Sorry rave, but do you think you could wait a little longer? in the meantime i could help heal the rest of the damage with my magic. after this i promise we will get the cybernetic eye."

"You tend to Dash, after all, she is your...family." Looking to Elegron. "I can go with Rave and make sure he is well. Afterwards, we can regroup and confront where ever the queen is. Also, we could use the iron warrior's help with this new gang that's rising to power. After all, I will eat her brain too." Laughing as I said this, "Your death started this Elegron, I will eat the queen next." I looked at Rave, "You ok with this plan Rave, or would you rather go with them?"

"dont remind me about that. ill make sure that if you try it again you will be poisoned." he changed tones to being his normal friendly self "alright, keep in touch you two" he effortlessly levitated dash and the equipment onto the sky chariot and took off, heading towards tenpony. he was really getting better at using his magic.

---a few minutes later (tenpony was closeby)---

Elegron ran into tenpony tower, levitating dash behind him with the boxand her gear,  and headed into the medical bay "excuse me, does anypony know how to install cybernetic joints?" he got strange looks from several ponies, but one of them walked up "of course, we will get right on that, set her down on the bed, it may take a few hours."

Dash had discarded her armor during her flight back. It and her weapons are near by. A silver box amung them. She seams to have planed doing this in that situation. A check of her gear would find that had she worn her armor she would have only needed a healing potion. The armor received nary a scratch from the shrapnel.

The medics got to work, installing the upgrades and healing dash's wounds. Elegron never left her side, not becasue he was worried, he knew she would be ok, but because he just wanted to be there for her. he turned on his broadcaster and sent a message to both rave and jack "Dash seems to be doing alright, if you want afterwords we can help get the cybernetic eye, or we can let you 2 handle that and take you to tenpony afterwords to get it installed. or dash could probably do it. well anyway, i'll see you guys later"

The surgery took ten hours and allot of healing magic to complete. Only her left knee joint lay exposed. But yhe skin and fur seams to attach to it. It also looks like this joint needed to be exposed. The incomplete cyberpony mod works well enough.

 

They test her new joints one by one and they seam to work fine. The nurse says to Elegron, when they are placed on a room, "She should wake soon. The surgery was a success. She will walk in about two or three days."

"That's good to hear." Elegron made a mental note to talk to her about taking off her armor. The only time Elegron took off his barding was when he was repairing it or going to bed. "I knew she would be ok. She's a fighter after all, a descendant of rainbowdash herself"

Rave got up and put on a smile. He had recovered. Rave would have laughed at Jack's question of going with them to Tenpony. He would be captured, trialed and sentenced to death. Not something he was planning on doing. "I will continue to the Enclave base. Come Jack, I won't wait around. I would rather get this done sooner then later". Rave took his son's hoof and started to lead him. "She is going to regret stabbing me. When they grow back I--" "Hush, although I trust Jack, I don't trust him enough for him to know your secret just yet, he did not help in this battle, even after claiming that he would help me when I still had my army" he said to his son. "I don't know, I like him. I have not met someone who is as crazy as me in a long time". "Ugh, I am appalled in your choice of friends. Well that is your life and did you say like?". "Yes I said like, I did not say I love him or that I have any feelings of friendship. You know that I hate emotions. I just like him, like how you liked the Stabledweller". "I just wanted him to kill me, that is all, but he had to fail. Hmmm, I never got his name". Rave started to walk in the direction of the Enclave base near Vanhoover. "I also wonder what has become of Lasher?".

Back in the bunker, Blooddrop attached Wade to a machine which should accelerate the process of his revival. "Now to business."

 

She brought some unconventional tools of torture into the room Lasher was in, and injected him with some psycho to force him to be awake. "Rise and shine. we've got a lot to get through today. So let's not waste much time."

Dash came too. "Hmmmm....It would seam the genetic link works good on syncing mods. Umm...I should be able to move but for some odd reason I can't."

 

Dash tries to roll over but winces in pain. She looks around. "Hello?! Anypony there." Dash starts to whimper when she doesn't hear an immediate reply.

"Dash?" Elegron turned to look at her "dash it's ok, it will take a few days to get used to." He didn't really know anything about cybernetics, but that's what the doctor had said "just relax" he nuzzled dash, making sure he wouldn't hurt her if she hadn't fully recovered yet.

Trailing behind them, I let the father and son have their moment. Eavesdropping quiety, So his son has a regeneration factor, why in the world would he possibly want to keep THAT secret from good ol' me?, Jack thought intrigued. Coming up between them, he said, "You think I could manage this cybernetic implant with your help?" Pulling a Monocyte Breeder out of his bag. "I would most likely be able to guide you through the whole thing." Looking between them, "You know I have noticed something, everyone treats me like a madman, keeping secrets from me. I find that appalling." Taking a deep breath, "then again, I do have a couple of screws loose...how about more than a couple eh? Anywho, we are here, lets get your eye fixed friend."

"We will get my eyes fixed as soon as we find that cybernetic eye inside the Enclave base. I treat anypony who eats another pony a madman, even my own son. Not saying being a madman is bad, don't you think ponies have called me a madman as well? Now excuse me but I have to walk my son as he can't see at the moment. I have to be his eyes". As Rave turned his head he crashed his face at a metallic door. "I thought I was supposed to be the blind one?". Rave growled in frustration. Rave connected his PipBuck to the terminal outside the door and used the override code he had gotten from the Enclave scientist. The door opened with a hiss and Rave looked into the dark. "Well, lets go".

Despite her wincing earlier, she doesn't seam to hurt when her nussels her. Dash asks, "Will you help me up? The units need stimulation to become active. They are genetically bound to my family. I intended to give them to papa should he need them." Dash somehow moves her hoof as if asking for help to get up.

Elegron let dash lean on him, while he helped her up with his levitation "so your part cyberpony? I came pretty close when I lost my legs. Wait... Will EMP hurt you? I hope not, that's the only way i know that I can stop wade, and I'm sure he won't fall for the same trick twice..."

Rave lit the way with his horn. He found a power switch and turned on the power. Lights flared and he saw a few pegasi skeletons. "Spooky" he chuckled. "Alright search the room, I want the cybernetic eye found". The ponies that had been under Darkeye's command started searching. Rave found the armory and opened it with the override code. He saw many stored weapons. However, one weapon caught his eye. "Hmm what's this?". He picked up a large rifle. His PipBuck gave up a name, Novasurge Rifle.

"Sarcasm is not appreciated here. So this is punishment number one. Pegasi have to move their wings frequently to avoid discomfort, and since your wings were set free, they were twitching and moving all night. So, let's cause some discomfort."

 

Blooddrop took one of her spears and stabbed him in both joints that connect the wings and the body. She left the spear in the two new wounds. "Try and move your wings. You'll just cause excruciating pain. Don't move them and it will just feel extremely uncomfortable. I ask again. What can you tell me about Rave and his connection and usage of dark magic?"

Lasher felt pain, but was not bothered. "Really? I have been hiding for many years from the Enclave, I have kept my wings under my security barding for a long time, I even slept with it on. I don't need to move my wings. Get lost you little scrub" Lasher looked at Blooddrop with annoyance.
