"Hmm, I thought we were already there, Jack said something about going to Canterlot", I mumbled sleepily. I was unceremoniously awoken after when a piece of the collapsed wall fell on me coating me in dirt. Suddenly awake now, "Ugh, I need a shower like now. Darkeye lets go find us a secluded spot and get clean huh?" Laughing at myself now, I took a second to fly about getting the dust off of my body making a mental note to go to a spa after. "What do you guys feel about hooficures, you should really consider coming with me when we get an opportunity." Finally my normal self.

Darkeye looked a little bit skeptical. "Hooficures? Aren't they for.... non hardcore ponies?". Rave trotted towards them. "Move move move, the others are ready. Let's move out while darkness is settling. I can use the dark to my advantage. So can you Dark". Darkeye nodded. Rave walked to the end of the town that stood up to the roots of the mountain of Canterlot. A lot of plants were on the wall, he moved some away using his magic, revealing a large opening. It was a dried up sewer. "This is where they dumpt there sewer water, it ran from Canterlot and down to the zebra village. The aristocrats had it built to show the zebras their disrespect" Rave chuckled. "Let's go". He walked into the darkness.

Blooddrop woke in her bed, not sure when she had fallen asleep or under what circumstances. She opened her eyes and tried to sit up bit was stopped by the weight of something keeping her pinned. Needless to say, she was half surprised half happy. Sleeping with her, or more specifically, on top of her was Vi, the Bat pony mare, and this realisation Brough a smile to her face and memories of what happened last night. When she tried to get out from under Vi, she bit Blooddrop on her neck, and she could not help but let a small moan out.

 

Vi: "And just where do you think you are going? I don't think I'm done with you just yet."

 

Blooddrop: "I have to go and take a shower. I'm a mess, and so are you."

 

Vi: "Well then, I guess we better go an get clean then."

 

Vi pulled Blooddrop out of bed and straight into her muzzle for a kiss before they moved into an on suite bathroom with still functioning showers.

 

Grigori had awoken from his slumber when he felt an odd presence enclosing on his home. He could not follow it or tell where it was, but he knew something or someone was coming. "Wings. Come hither. I have a task for you. Something is approaching out home. And I can't feel from which direction or what it is. Remain on high alert, watch all entrances and keep your ears open to anything. We do not want ponies to sneak inside."

Rave walked with the others through the tunnels. Rave stops and the others halt. "Guards up ahead". Rave grows dark crystals from the floor silently. He waits until they have reached the necks and then puts more power into the spell. The guards drop down dead. "When we reach the surface, I'm afraid we might get separated. You will have to take a safer route, while I go through the mist". "Understood". Some of Rave's teeth turned into fangs due to usage of dark magic. Rave didn't care anymore, he didn't care what he looked like. He had a job to finish.

Elegron had abandoned his earlier quest because something much greater was happening. He followed the marker on his pipbuck, laying low and scouting out the pony he was following. He activated his stealthbuck and went in. He knew that he wasn't allowed in here, but he was trying to save the world. He wasn't too concerned about trespassing anymore, he had a job to do. And he had a plan. He turned on his broadcaster, sending a message to the radio in dash's armor. "Vi, Grigori, anyone. I am coming to canter lot for one reason. I'm sure you've already noticed the intruder. We both want him gone, I know where he is and what he's doing. As soon as I've dealt with him I will leave. You have my word that I will only do what I need to in order to save the world" he turned it off, hoping they got the message.

Following Rave, "You mean business, I do what I must." Going further through smells and littered passageways, a swarm of bats suddenly flew through the cave at high speed. "Yikes, you'd think the dragons would clean up down here. I guess hygiene doesn't matter to high and mighty up there. Good thing I can fly or i'd never survive this walk." Looking at Darkeye, "I say again, you don't need to be non-hardcore to enjoy a hooficure. I might take you with me on one out west after this is through. Besides, I can rig a C-4 to explode just about anything and enjoy being pretty. That's hardcore. don't you think?"

Storm Fury got a huge shiver down his spine. One he remembered felling yesterday. And it was not a good sign. "More brothers slain. This leaves 5 of us left. Me, Vi, Sythia, Vengrah and Felkan. No more loss." He got on the radio and called his Brothers, except Vi who has still showering. "Attention Brothers and sister. Two more of us have been slain. Their remains only 5 of our species and today is not the day of extinction. Gather in Grigoris halls. We make a plan their. And we will not be wiped out."

 

Grigori had been focusing his Dragon magic and had formulated a spell that could be useful against this Dark Magic. This curse will cause his offensive magic to attack himself and defensive magic will defend is enemies. A strong counter to magic. And with magic gone, Guns and brute strength will be all they have left. Useless against Dragon Scales and Dragon Scale armour. "We will be ready for you, pony of Dark."

Elegron hoped out of the sky chariot, and got his weapons ready. He approached the gate and called out. "Hey, has anyone seen a creepy unicorn with a black mane and dark magic around here?" When he did not get an immediate response, he tried to open the door.

Dashia had woken a bit ago. She was in the middle of her morning routine. She was at the point where she is adjusting the stress factor of her joints.

 

[Joint implant stress reduced. Can now use up to two cybernetic mods.]

 

Dashia then takes her draconic form and awaits for the one who will bring her back to Lord Grigori. [science 100/100] She also attempts to translate more of the files on Project Hellfire. She discovers that even canterlot isn't safe when that thing goes off. "By the night! This will harm the Dragons here in canterlot. I have to tell Lord Grigori at once."

 

She heads out to looks for Lord Grigori. She asks one of the wing guards about his location and is directed to him by escort.

 

When she arrives she asks, "My Lord? Have you looked over those files I gave you yesterday? They concern the dragons and dragon kin here in canterlot."

"Thank you for bringing her to my Sythia. I have not looked at it yet. Storm Fury had the file last time I saw it. And I have no Kin in Canterlot. You are the closes thing I have seen to another Dragon around these parts in a long time. Flamestreak not included. All other Dragons remain above the sky. Unless it directly attacks Dragons or breaks codes, I have minimal interest in it. Tell me, what is you you discovered that you thought was so urgent that you rushes to me at this time in the morning? I would have thought you to still be sleeping after that fainting display you out on yesterday."

Dash explains everything she gained about Project hellfire. She even says that the main console for activating at least part of it is here in canterlot. "Rave killed one of the others who brought in Flamestreak. He intends to burn the whole world. I personally do not know if the clouds will protect dragons or not. A love of mine seeks to stop him but as with a child he knew not of the treaty between ponies and dragons. He attacks only when attacked and made an honest mistake. Please allow the one called Elegron in, so he may at least atone for his childish behaviour. He is a good colt at heart. He and I will face this Dark user, Rave."

Felkan dropped out of the sky with a large amount of force and landed between Elegron and the gates of Canterlot. Spears pointed at his throat. "You. I have been told about you. A pony who tried to kill my Kin. In terms of the question you asked, no I haven't. So leave at once you incompetent fool. Before I kill you for what you did to my brothers and sister."

Dash explains everything she gained about Project hellfire. She even says that the main console for activating at least part of it is here in canterlot. "The Lightbringer is a misguided fool. He attacks indiscriminatly and nearly killed my Followers. He does not enter Canterlot. As for this Rave, I have sensed him moving, and Storm feels the loss of every member of his family. Rave Crystal will not get far. I have ways to deal with ponies who rely too much on magic. He has clearly made an enemy of me when he tried to help Flamestreak escape punishment. He and any who follow him will die. I will destroy this console myself of needs be. I shall not let Rave leave this place alive, or any of his followers. As for this Lightbringer Elegron. He stays out of this city. May the gas take him for what he did to them."

 

Vi came into the room, now back in her Dragon armour, closely followed by Blooddrop who had 'borrowed' a few Dragon Slaying spears to replace her crude and old spears.

 

"You must choose what you are to do next Dashia. You can stay and fight with us as a Dragon, and live up to the Blood that flows through your veins. Or, you can leave and find your Elegron and live as a pony for the remainder of your long life. But remember, with Dragon Blood comes Dragon age. You will outlive your Great Grandchildren's Great grandchildren, and live for over 1000 years. Which life would you rather live? Choose quickly."

"I still don't think you understand. A pony named rave is putting the wasteland, canterlot, and even the dragon realm above in great peril. I'm only here to stop him." Elegron gets back in the sky chariot after having said that, and begins to search for a way to find rave.

May I also ask about what became of the enclave General who came here two years ago. He is my father."

"Felkan Spoke of a pony who came here once. Called himself General Windbreaker. He wanted an audience with me and moved through the city to try and come to me. I never saw him, so we can only guess that he was taken by the Nightmare gas. A terrible fate for anyone to face. I'm sorry for your loss. If you want to say your goodbyes, now would be the time. Hurry though before Rave arrives. With our dwindling numbers we need all the assistance we can get."

Elegron saw something unusual. In the background, there was a small crevice. He got out of the sky chariot and crept inside, seeing that there was a small tunnel. He followed it, noticing that it followed the same path rave took. He knew he wouldn't make it at this rate, so he ran, with his team following closely.

Dash nods and on her com pad she contacts Elegron. "Elegron, I am with Lord Grigori. We can and will face Rave till the last pony or dragon or dragon kin falls. I must apologize but I will not be returning to the waste lands. Meet me when this fight is over just outside the canterlot gates. It is there where we will say our fair wells. I will explain then."

 

She then turns to Lord Grigori and says, "Will that be fine? My final meeting with him at the gates of canterlot then I will take the oath Of the code. Binding myself to the dragon lands."

Rave had reached the surface with the others. It was dark everywhere. He could see the mist ahead. "This is where we get separated. Darkeye? Rain? You will have to take a longer route, through the Eastern part of the city. I will be heading straight through the mist". Before he stepped inside, he could feel the anti-dark magic spell. "This won't protect you dragon. There is always a back door to everything. A flaw". "My offensive magics and defensive magics are useless.... for the moment. I will be able to eventually break the curse, but there is no time. I guess I must do what I must do" he thought. Rave summoned up a spell that was used by his ancestor Sombra to torture victims by making them live their worst fears and nightmares. He cast it on his self. He began experiencing his worst, however, he had done it so many times, trained himself and managed to learn to control it. He woke up and walked into the mist. He started to breath in the mist and he felt better. Stronger. He headed in the direction of the Ministry Walk. He had his Novasurge rifle ready. "The dragon will be inside the castle. Hah. I won't be going there".

"If that is your true wish. Then it shall be allowed. You will see him once more at the Gates to this city before we ascend above the clouds and meet with the Lords. Then you may call yourself a true Dragon. Our codes are very strict. Make sure you keep to them or we may meet again under much different circumstances. As for now, talk with the Bats and the Blood Queen. They will inform you of their plans."

"Wait what? You mean I won't be able to see you? When did this happen?! Why!?!? Ugh... What the fuck.... We will fight rave, but after that nothing is certain. Don't bother explaining because the reasons don't matter. because it can't end that easily. I'm not going to just not see you ever again, it doesn't work that way. You don't have to do this dash." Elegron was barely holding back his frustration. He wanted to smash his pipbuck against the nearest hard surface. Maybe he would break raves neck, and crush his skull. That sounded good right about now.

Rave entered the Ministry Walk. "It will take time to set up the Project and there will be a countdown, but I think I have all the time in the world". He could not see anyone nearby. "Guess they are all holing up in one place. Cowards". Rave entered the Ministry of Arcane Sciences hub. "If Twilight had only paid better attention to Blackthorn, then she would've known what he was doing. Thankfully there were enough distractions" he sneered. Started walking up the staircase.

Dashia had made her choice. She would live as a dragon. She goes over to the bats and blooddrop. She looks to blooddrop and says, "If there is any bad blood between us, let it go. As of now I choose my blood over my birth. So...what's the plan for rave? Also, where can I get a good set of power armor? Preferably one crafted for half dragons."

Rave began laying magical traps behind him. "Hahaha, your curse does nothing against magical traps dragon. If anyone comes after me, they will have to go through them first". He headed into Twilight Sparkle's office. "Now to find that secret terminal".

Elegron ran through the mist as fast as he could, his magic holding it back. He felt his ward weaken, and finally, it broke. Elegron blacked out. He saw visions of dash dying, or her leaving him, never to be seen again... Then we woke up. He saw himself at the edge of the field of mist. He had made it, only barely. He had a mission to do, and whether he would see dash or not wouldn't change that. He kept on, following raves marker. He entered the ministry hub, and activated his stealthbuck.

I entered eastern half of the city, "Why would Rave send us here?" I asked Darkeye. "Its empty houses and streets." I noticed some guards patrolling the eastern half of the city. "Wait." I lined up the shot, and fired. Shots came back our direction, but firing from a concealed position, while the other elements of the party attracted the return fire. Most were killed but one or two were seriously injured out of the small patrol..
