After speaking with multiple reliable artistic sources, I have found a group of freelancers able to complete all art for the game at a price that will allow me to cut over half of the Kickstarter Goal. Introduction:

Tome: Chronicles of Champions is a Tactical Card Game (non-digital) that follows you, the player, as you obtain the power of a Reckoner. According to legend, Reckoners have the ability to call upon spirits of past champions, even from multiple time periods, in order to aid them in combat. As a Reckoner, you will assemble your own party of three champions. Then, you will face off against your opponents, who happen to be fellow Reckoners who have allied with enemy kingdoms. You must defeat your opponent by using strategy, wit and tactical combat!

How to Play:

Both players have exactly ten health. When a player's Champion runs out of health, that Champion is defeated and it's controller loses one life. Additionally, if your Champion attacks and there isn't a Champion in your opponent's Character Zone or Exhausted Zone, your attacking Champion will inflict direct damage equal to its strength.

When your opponent is reduced to zero health or tries to draw a card and cannot, you win the game!

General Information:

This has been a project I have been working on for a long time now. All cards in the core set have not only been created, but I've begun working on several future expansion sets as well. The game is modeled to be a non-digital trading card game, but there may be a transition to digital in the future.

Key Features:

• Tactical combat system inspired by elements of MOBAs, pen and paper RPGs, and Traditional Japanese RPGs. Certain characters have differing attacking styles, forcing players to think on their feet!
• Party building, a feature never before seen in a trading card game!
• After building your party, you are able to build your deck which consists of all the spells, abilities and items your party members will use throughout a game.
• With six different characters being pulled from three different eras, there are 18 different Champion cards that can be used in your party! While you may only use one of a Champion card in your party, there are over 800 possible parties that can be assembled at launch!
• Future Organized Play plans include Boss Battles that can be conducted by a local hobby store. A store employee may take on the role of a fearsome boss, allowing you to pit your party against it and see how you fare!
• Additionally, a Player Rewards program is planned for sometime in the future, either at launch or shortly after release. Purchasing product would reward you with points that you can spend on swag or additional product in the online store!

Sample Cards:

This is an example of a Champion card. Each Champion has a strength and health value, an attacking style, a class designation, and one or more effects. Strength determines how much damage is dealt while attacking, while health determines how much damage the character can take before being defeated. But don't worry! When a character is defeated, it isn't out of the battle for good!

Battlefield:

This is an image of what both sides of the battlefield look like. Champions reside in Champion zones; when they preform an action for the turn, they are moved into the corresponding Exhausted Zone. When a Champion has been defeated, it will resurrect after three of your turns; in the meantime, it resides in one of the Resurrection Zones.

The text and arrows show how the different attacking styles work. In Tome, there are three different attacking styles: Melee, Spell and Ranged. Melee attackers are the strongest, but can only attack forward. Spell attackers can attack diagonally, but aren't as strong as Melee attackers. Ranged attackers are the least strong, but can attack any zone. Each attacking style has its benefits.

so, i have to say this looks really cool, this is an online card game or real cards? how much would it cost, I for one love card games and would love to play this.

Right now, it involves real cards. The Kickstarter Campaign is going to launch in either March or April, and that will determine whether or not digital will exist too. As you can probably imagine, it costs hundreds of thousands of dollars to make a brand new online game, so the Kickstarter will only include that as an optional stretch goal. If paper only, I can't go into details but it will definitely be cheaper to buy and keep up with than any other card game. If digital, it will be free to play.

I'm sensing a card game that I can easily get behind right here. Although, I can't seem to see the image ye uploaded. Happen to have it stored elsewhere, if not on the site?

 

As I post, the image decides to stop derping and load up properly. And I'm loving the template and art style of the card already.
