The My Little Pony Friendship is Magic comics won the Diamond Gem Award for "Best All-Ages Comics"

Thanks to the awesome people at IDW for such a cool comic, all that hard work paid off. Keep it up guys!

Wow, I never thought the MLP comics would win an award. I mean, I like them, but hardcore comic enthusiasts seem to ensure that nothing that isn't superhero based stands a chance. Then again, I'm not sure what the category of all ages comics entails, so maybe the comics most people seem to talk about are excluded from that category. This is all based on casual observation mind you, and you could probably fill a whole library with what I don't know about comics and their awards. Either way that's great news for the MLP comics and IDW, as well as Hasbro. Here's hoping for another great year of comics.

Not surprised by this. The IDW comics are (generally) of high quality. Glad the creators of them are getting an award for all of their hard work.
