The goal of this game is try and make a whole song made from random lyrics.  Here's how it works. FIrst open up any kind of music player (iTunes, Windows Media, Pandora, etc.) and have it play a song at random. Then take a line from that song, and it will be part of the random song.  The song will be structured like this

Stanza 1- 8 lines

Chorus- 4 lines

Stanza 2- 8 lines

Stanza 3- 8 lines

Chorus (this will of course be a repeat of the first)

Stanza 4- 8 lines

So to start, I'll post the first line from the first stanza of the song I'm playing, the person below the will have the second line of the first stanza from their song, and so on. And if you don't have to pick another song if the first chosen isn't in English, it just makes the finished product more random.

I'll start with the first line.

At first flash of Eden, we race down to the sea

I refuse to let go until you're impressed.
I refuse to let go until I'm depressed.

In a dream, we are all connected. Siamese twins at the wrist.

Move yourself.  You always live your life never thinking of the future.  (YES - Owner of a Lonely Heart)

If you wanna make the world a better place,
Take a look at yourself, then make a change.

By the way, I decided to try making a complete song using the first line of a shuffled set of songs in my own collection.  The very strange results are under the spoiler tag.

VERSE 1:

Move yourself  (1)

I'll be the roundabout (2)

It's rotten, so rotten here (3)

Thousands and millions of stars (4)

Is this the real life? (5)

Pizza party at your house (6)

There's a lovin' in your eyes all the way (7)

It's got to be your love (8)

CHORUS:

Eins zwei drei vier (9)

Ich bin der Reiter (10)

It's only been a week (11)

Poor Peter Parker was pitiful (12)

VERSE 2:

All that I know in my life (13)

Na na, na na na na na na na (14)

Shinpaisei sugi na anata wa (15)

Chikagoro sorosoro genkai (16)

Triste mor, triste mor (17)

All your base are belong to us (18)

Even the longest night won't last forever (19)

I've been alone with you inside my mind (20)

(CHORUS)

BRIDGE:

My TV makes me so bored (21)

Go now, don't look back (22)

We're a band of vicious pirates (23)

I'm all dressed up with nowhere to go (24)

Sake no maryoku ni yararetanda (25)

I feel so extraordinary (26)

I could stay awake just to hear you breathing (27)

It's not far down to paradise (28)

VERSE 3:

I'm underwater where the seaweed grows (29)

When superstars and cannonballs are running through your head (30)

He came from somewhere back in her long ago (31)

You know I love that organic cookin' (32)

I must have dreamed a thousand dreams (33)

Time keeps on slippin', slippin' (34)

On the first part of the journey (35)

He was born in a very bad part of town (36)

(CHORUS)

(CHORUS)

And here's where those lyrics came from:

(1) YES - Owner of a Lonely Heart

(2) YES - Roundabout

(3) Weird Al - Trash Day

(4) William Orbit - Atom Dream (spoken in the background)

(5) Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody

(6) Weird Al - A Complicated Song

(7) Culture Club - Karma Chameleon

(8) Synchronized Love (from DDR 4th Mix)

(9) Rammstein - Sonne

(10) Rammstein - Rein Raus

(11) Royksopp - Remind Me

(12) Weird Al - Ode to a Superhero

(13) Richard Marx - Children of the Night

(14) Main Theme (from Katamari Damacy)

(15) Ai no Katamari (Ending theme from Katamari Damacy)

(16) Riyu Kosaka - True... (from DDR 6th Mix)

(17) Cirque du Soleil - Ulysse

(18) All Your Base

(19) The Alan Parsons Project - Prime TIme

(20) Lionel Richie - Hello

(21) Weird Al - I Can't Watch This

(22) Starship - Sarah

(23) The Pirate Song (from The Curse of Monkey Island)

(24) Oingo Boingo - Dead Man's Party

(25) We Love Katamari soundtrack - Bluffing Damacy

(26) New Order - True Faith

(27) Aerosmith - I Don't Want to Miss a Thing)

(28) Christopher Cross - Sailing

(29) Graham Gouldman - Underwater Fantasy (from Animalympics, 1980)

(30) Savage Garden - The Animal Song

(31) The Doobie Brothers - What a Fool Believes

(32) Larry Groce - Junk Food Junkie (from Dr. Demento's Greatest Hits)

(33) Genesis - Land of Confusion

(34) Steve Miller Band - Fly Like an Eagle

(35) America - Horse With No Name

(36) Graham Gouldman - Born to Lose (from Animalympics, 1980)

This probably says a lot about my music collection.  It says even more than I had to skip through twice as many songs that were all instrumental just to produce this set. :)

Take a look at yourself, then make a change.
