Rayman in smash? Personally, I haven't played much of any of the Rayman games, so I have absolutely no idea what to expect.

 

I'm kind of on the fence about this one to be honest. I can't tell if it's real or fake because there's some pretty good evidence pointing in both directions.

It seems odd to add another third-party character, but it would be really cool if this does turn out to be true. One of the first games I ever played was Rayman 2: The Great Escape on the PS1, so I have fond memories of the character.

I'm disappointed, in all honesty. With the exception of the original and a few other games, I don't really like Rayman. Most of the games are either too boring or silly for my tastes, and to see it in SSB4 really puts me... off. Not just because about how I feel about him, but I'm uncomfortable with another 3rd party character. But if that is what Nintendo decided on, then more power to them.

Well, that puts an end to things.... Well, for the most part.

 

Ubisoft was actually asked about the incident and they're taking their sweet time responding (they said they'll make a comment on the situation Tuesday). You'd think that they wouldn't have to take several days to say "No, Rayman isn't DLC" so there's still a small possibility that he could actually come in.

It's a long shot, but it's still possible.... for now.

 

Heckuva coincidence, though, if it turns out Ubi IS releasing it, seeing that somebody faked it before they announced it.

What I wanted to post when I first saw this

 

 

 

I was almost convinced that this was real(I was waiting for Nintendo to respond like they did with the previous leaks), especially with Ubisoft responding to it.

 

It sucks for the Rayman fans who wanted to see him in the game, between this and appearing as a Trophy rather than a character(which I always thought was kind of stupid)

 

I still won't rule out characters coming out for DLC however, especially with such high demand (though I think cut veterans should be top priority).

Maybe after this fiasco maybe Nintendo will consider bringing him to the main roster
