Any Pro-Wrestling Fans Around?

BTW, who else disliked the Ambrose Vs. Lesnar feud for being way too one-sided?

If they were going to have Lesnar win, then the advantage should've shifted back and forth every week; but if Lesnar was going to dominate most of the time, then Ambrose should've gotten the last laugh.

Instead, we just got a multi-week squash that was too cheap and depressing to care about.

Lesnars shtick, is getting boring. The WWE pretty much booked themselves in a corner, because they inititally planned to feed Lesnar to Reigns at WM 31, but then at the last second, gave Rollins the title. Now, Lesnar is doing nothing else, but squash guys who are not called the undertaker.

His match against Ambrose at Wrestlemania 32 was dissapointing to say mildly, because i kinda thought if you let Ambrose work Lesnar with the weapons, he might look atleast strong. But it wasn't even that. This was just bad.

"Getting" boring?

Ever since he started his "Suplex City" gimmick his matches and hype promos have been the same boring repetitive stuff over and over again, IMO.

At first, i liked it. But after i realized that he really dosen't do anything differently, he got boring for me. And after that orton incedint, i even kinda hate him.

Don't get me wrong I liked it at first, too.

But, just like you said I wish he would change it up a bit because he's become stale in a lot of the fans eyes.

I also believe the "Orton Incident" was completely over the line and uncalled for all for the sake of making Lesnar look like an unstoppable beast, which he didn't really need.

At least not in WWE, anyway.

It wasn't just you who thought it was over the line. Even Jericho was lost on the finish. So much so he thought Brock went too far and had a bit of a heated stand off with him after the match in the Guerrilla position. Randy getting cut open hardway was indeed planned, though Orton didn't know till only a few hours beforehand, and no one predicted he'd bleed that badly. Or be concussed.

Scary thing, if this were still TV-14, Randy would've bladed for that effect. And that would've been safer.

That Jericho story always makes me laugh for some reason because, it shows that even the wrestlers can get confused by what happens sometimes, just like the fans.

Brock Lesnar's WWE run lately has been better than Sting's crappy WWE run.

Yet, I've seen people online saying they think Sting's WWE run was a success and was great.

At least, Brock Lesnar won his matches.

I now gotta give a shoutout, to my irish boys from OSW Review, Jay Hunter, V1 and Mr.OOC

http://oswreview.com/

They are a Wrestling Podcast, who mostly comically review old school wrestling Shows. They have gone through all the PPVs in the Hulkamania Era (Wrestlemania I till Wrestlemania VIII) Reviewed the David Arquette Saga (the movie ready to rumble, the thunder where arquette won the WCW Title and Slamboree 2000) reviewed a bunch of ECW Events (Barely Legal 97, Heatwave 98, One Night Stand 05 and 06, first ECW on SyFy and December to Dismember 06) and reviewed the Wrestlemania X-Seven Saga (Royal Rumble 01, No Way Out 01, last WCW Nitro, the Raw go home show and of course WM X-Seven)

As of right now, they review the Dungeon of Doom Saga in WCW, with Starcade 94 and Fall Brawl 95 being recorded and World War 3 95 about to come out.

Here is a little video from them, talking about the WWE Weddings in their Summerslam 91 Review:

Watch them. They are pretty great.

Okay, this is kinda interesting.

I don't have a source now here, so you just have to take my word for it. But from what i heard, is that if (and that's a big if at this point in time) Billy Corgan gets TNA from Dixie Carter, he will completly Rebrand the promotion, meaning he will get rid of the name and even wants to relocate the promotion. I think what Corgan is trying here, is trying to start something completly new and i for one like that. TNA, especially in recent years, just got a bad vibe from the wrestling community, they need a fresh new start and a new identity.

Of course, that is if little Billy gets the deal done in time. Else the WWE will likely get everything.

So basically, whoever gets it, it looks like after Bound for Glory, TNA will cease to exist, or maybe in the weeks to come.

Ric Flair, freshly crowned NWA World champ, after his cage match with Harley Race, faces the great Kabuki, who in kayfabe is the father of the great Muta. :P

Yet, I've seen people online saying they think Sting's WWE run was a success and was great.

Because even in defeat, Sting was still more entertaining than Lesnar is at this point.  Also Sting made his opponents look good and didn't concuss multiple people.

Okay, this is kinda interesting.

For once I agree. It'll be better for the industry if Corgan or Sinclair buy it. But as far as rebranding goes, TNA kinda tried that w/ "Impact Wrestling", so not sure how successful a relaunch would be.

But hey, Georgia Championship Wrestling & Jim Crockett promotions became WCW.  Eastern Championship wrestling became Extreme. So there's a chance.

I think What Culture sucks.

Would you kindly clarify the stance of your opinions on the subject in a logical manner my good sir?

I am very neutral in all cases.

If Corgan gets it and rebrands it, we will obviously get a fresh new start and maybe even something totally unique instead of a promotion, that tries too hard to be like WWE.

If Sinclair gets it, maybe it will spawn a boost for Ring of Honor. I want ROH to be more successful and get a better place on TV, with talent that they got from TNA.

If Vince gets it, i can watch all the old TNA shows from it's glory days on the Network and the future documentaries can be more completed with the TNA appearances.

It's a win-win-win for me. :P

Actually, ROH will benefit even if Vinny mac makes the purchase. W/ TNA gone, ROH will become the secodn biggest U.S. wrestling company. Any WWE castoffs the caliber of EC3 or Drew Galloway will go to ROH instead. Any fans lookign for an alternitive will go ROH instead.

Though that bodes poorly for any aging part timers. I don't think ROH would want the Hardys, Steiners, Nashs, or Jaretts of the world.

Yeah, that is also great. I always thought highly of EC3 and him in ROH would look great.

I can imagine the hardys making one more run in the WWE for a year, just because of the nostalgia of it.

I also just listened to an interview that Billy Corgan had on ESPN Radio not an hour ago.

In short, TNA is burning.

He is not sure himself, the talent there is being constantly lied to, there hasn't been any progress in the last few years when it comes to business and it seems like him and Dixie can't stand each other.

If that is true and i think Billy is a very honest guy, i can imagine that Dixie, because she has a huge ego, will sell it to vince just to spite Corgan and i can imagine that vince came to her, talking to her about all the things she gets, like guest appearances, documentaries, etc. Because Dixie loves to be in the spotlight, just like Vince.

@@Mesme Rize,

Remember though, TNA isn't just her's to sell. Corgan owns a chunk. TNA's production company owns a chunk.  There are probably shareholders who each have a slice. Vince will have to convince them all to sell.

Thing is, if they don't make a decision by friday, bound for Glory won't be airing on sunday, because it hasn't been founded yet and then they have a whole lot of problems on their hands, with national and international PPV providers.

Eitherway, they all have to come to an agreement.

Wow. They're even worse off than I thought.

I hope WWE buys TNA's tape library for the sole purpose of having content for career retrospective DVD's and their match compilation DVD's they release from time to time.

Yep. BFG: '08. I even remember most of the card.

Played a demo of the Impact video game. Opened w/ a steel Asylum match. Abyss/Morgan vs. LAX vs. Team 3D vs. Beer Money in a Monsters ball for the TNA tag belts. Had a flaming table spot and a thumbtack table spot. Although it was refereed by Mongo. No one liked that part. Booker T vs. Styles vs Christian in MOTN. Jarrett vs. Angle w/ guest ref. Foley. Sting vs. Joe for the title. Another fun fact: Bullet with butterfly wings was the theme song.

And now a not so fun fact. I just remembered that I got a high five from Dixie Carter that night. This was before she was on TV. But still...

Unless those stars have guaranteed contracts to Panda Energy (or secretly w/ AOL-Time Warner)

Speaking of that,

I wish Kurt Angle could have one last run in WWE or at the very least a one off feud to put someone over.
