It is a day that ends in "Y" so, I wouldn't have any reason to doubt that. :muffins:

I wonder who won?

I kinda hope Kenny Omega won because seeing Okada win all the time is becoming boring to me.

Just started watching. Best way to find out is to do the same.

Kay, so we have  bit to talk about with Dominion. And I do recommend you watch it.

Spoiler
  1. Congrats to the young bucks for breaking down barriers and becoming one of the few junior heavyweight teams to win the heavyweight tag gold.
  2. Holy crap, Chris Jericho is the new IWGP Intercontinental champ. Becoming the first man to hold both that and the WWE's version of the IC belt.
  3. Kenny has finally won the big one at long last, and created a pro wrestling masterpiece with Okada on the way.
  4. the new president of NJPW, Harold Meij (pronounced May), seems like a cool dude and maybe just the thing the company needs to go global.
  5. Nice to Osprey taking some time off to heal up. He deserves the rest after the year he's put in.
  6. It's confirmed, we're getting Dragon Lee vs. EL Desperado in a mask vs mask match. Shame, cause both these guys have cool masks.

I just watched Dominion right now... and about the Okada/Omega match

Spoiler

HOLY CELESTIA AND LUNA WHAT A MATCH!!!!!!!!!!

It had everything that made the 2017 matches so famous and well-known.
The development of each bout like it's the big finale. Shotgun Dropkicks and V-Triggers becoming more and more brutal and impactful, Rainmakers and One Winged Angels getting countered non-stop, Gedo getting mad each time, Kota Ibushi being more concerned for his partner, never a single prediction and momentum changing each minute.

They made it. They made me cry and got emotional over a wrestling match (other than Gargano/Ciampa at TakeOver: New Orleans).

They made the perfect match to end everything. Match of the year? More like one of the best matches ever disputed. The McEnroe/Borg of sports entertainment.

Now I gotta rewatch the ending.

Guess this is the closest we can get for a 'WWE vs NJPW' crossover thing. Guessing they (WWE Management) gave Woods the green light for letting The Elite appear in UUDD.

Omega was just savage, both in game and on the mic.

Hey, look who showed up on Cultaholic.

The fact that Will Ospreay didn't enter by doing a Shooting Star Press from the ceiling onto Jack the Jobber is disappointing. :P

Don't be ridiculous.

We all know that's Ricochet's thing.

Once again I have to be the bearer of bad news.

It is with a heavy heart that I have to announce the passing of Big Van Vader.

May his legacy live on.

I know the WWE Hall of Fame means nothing in the long run, but they missed their chance to honor Vader & let him give a "thank you" speech to his fans all over the world.

Arguably the best true superheavyweight to ever lace em up. I loved his feud with Sting back in the day.

Breaking news on the G1 Climax.

The blocks have been decided. We now know who will eventually be facing who.

image.thumb.png.c9c99472d50f25361e694a06df38fad6.png

That means we'll be getting another Tanahashi/Okada match and the first meeting between Okada and Switchblade, while on the B block we're getting Omega/Naito 3, first meeting between Omega and ZSJ, and the long awaited dream rematch between Omega and Ibushi. Pretty sure that one is being saved as the Semi-final to help sell out the legendary Budokan hall.

Though I was really hoping we'd get Suzuki vs. ZSJ in a submission battle of master and protege.

And here's a nice pic from the retirement ceremony for legendary Japanese wrestler Super Strong Machine, pictured with his special 5 man tribute team of Strong Machine Ace, Strong Machine Buffalo, Strong Machine Justice, Super Strong Machine himself, manager Shogun Ky Wakamatsu (who is basically the love child of Mr.Fuji and Jimmy Hart), Strong Machine Don and Strong Machine 69 before they did battle with Los Ignorbernobles De Japon.

So, we've reached the halfway point of the year. What are everypony's top 10 matches of 2017 so far?

For those that care, mine are:

  1. Okada/Omega 4
  2. Young Bucks vs. Golden Lovers
  3. Marty Scurl vs. Will Osprey
  4. Will Osprey vs. Flip Gordon
  5. Osprey vs. Kushida vs. Hiromu vs. Scurl
  6. Rousey/Angle vs. The Helmsleys
  7. SCU vs. Young Bucks/Flip- Ladder Match
  8. NXT North American Championship Ladder Match
  9. Trent Beretta vs. Beer City Bruiser vs. Dalton Castle
  10. Kota Ibushi vs. Hangman Paige

And my overall show of the year is The Best Of The Super Juniors Final- Night 1. The only New Japan event that was all singles matches, and all of them delivered.

Your turn.
