If you've been following backstage news since last year, it's not really. Ibushi had an ugly falling out with management. Despite the strong push, I think he regretted signing int he first place. He's a maverick at heart and loves doing his own thing. Rumor has it he either wants to start an experimental new fed or a wrestling school. He's gotten offers from basically everyone. Tony and the EVPs (obviously). Trips probably (though after Ibu's awkward first encounter with Vinny Jr, probs not). CyberFight has apparently made a big overture for him to work NOAH & his old fed DDT. But Ibushi is cut from the same cloth as guys like Genichiro Tenryu & Minoru Suzuki. They wanna do their own thing and you'd be foolish to stop them. 

Like anyone would wanna stop this. Ibushi's first match in 15 months has been announced!
