Darn it. Didn't see anything pertaining to my request for some quest perks. I will list them and their effects.

 

1)Pitt Fighter

 

Ranks: 1

The vicious fights in the Hole have left you stronger. Both your damage and radiation resistances have been increased by 3%.

 

2) Booster Shot

 

Ranks: 1

Medical research from the Pitt has improved your life. Just try not to think of what it may have cost others. Your radiation resistance is improved by 10%.

 

3) Touched by the taint 1

 

Exposure to the Taint has altered your physiology. When under the effects of advanced radiation poisoning(400+ rad points), any crippled limbs automatically Regenerate. You are now 40% immune to the negative effects of Radiation sickness/taint.

 

 

Listing these for the rest of touched by the taint Set.

 

1. Touched by the Taint 2

 

Exposure to the Taint has altered your physiology. You do not take immediate damage from radiation. In fact, You gain extra healing while exposed to it. However, radiation continues to build up normally in your system. You are now 70% immune to the negative effects of Radiation sickness/taint.

 

 

2. Touched by the Taint 3

 

Exposure to the Taint has altered your physiology. You are 20% faster and stronger when basking in the warm glow of radiation. Your Action points/Flight points regenerate faster and faster the higher your level of radiation sickness becomes. Your lifespan has increases dramatically. You are now 100% immune to the negative effects of Radiation sickness/taint.

 

 

For the touched by the taint set. I can give backstory as to how she could have all three as quest perks. Just ask and I will give backstory as reason for having these 5 perks as quest perks. If not happy will give up 10th and 12th level perks for the other two touched by the taint perks.

 

These perks are from the rework of Dashia's background.

Being touched by the taint would leave her looking like a walking abomination you know that right?

And besides that they are some of the most overpowered perks that you can get. I don't think it would be fair if you got these perks to be honest.

That is like saying a ghoul or someone with rad child is op. But it is your opinion.

no, someone with immunity to radiation drawbacks and rad child is op, which is exactly what this is. Greshken has rad child, but fit the regenerative factor he suffers major debuffs and risks death of he goes too far.

 

A ghoul has some clear downsides, which is having to be irradiated at all times or risking death.

 

Touched by the taint has no downsides whatsoever except for becoming hideous. That's why I think it's op.

 

So it's nothing like saying a ghoul or someone with rad child is op. There is a very distinct difference.

And in top of that you could take rad child as well, so you'll be regenerating 10 hp per second, taking significantly less damage while having your AP/FP regain increased and you speed improved. And that with just 4 perks.

 

I have my doubts on this one, sorry...

Then I guess the difference of opinion is appearent. no where in the text does it say one touched by the taint is hideous, lil pip wasn't. Also nowhere in the text does it say one who is touched by the taint regains hp.

 

The first one alone only gives limb regeneration.

 

The second only gives AP and FP (Fliers only) regeneration.

 

The third makes the person 20% faster and stronger. As well as increases life span.

 

All of which requires 400+ rad points to even work. The only one that doesn't is the increased lifespan. That has no effect of the story except the chara will naturally outlive the party.

 

How does that become OP?

 

The immunity only comes when one has all three Perks. It is resistance until then.

 

As to death by radiation, It can still happen. One still becomes a ghoul with standard 50/50 chance of becoming a mindless NPC @1000 rad points.

 

If the immunity bit made you think otherwise then am sorry. That was the way I found it.

In that case I'd think of it as acceptable if you refrained from taking rad child, as the immunity to the adverse affects of radiation combined with the constant health regeneration is overpowered.

 

However I still think those perks are quite powerful for a level 12 character. The limb regeneration, life-expectancy improvement, the ap and fp regen.

 

Over the course of a couple of days you can easily build up huge amounts of rads and they won't decay.

 

My suggestion would be to give you the first rank now as a level 12 perk, and upgrade it subsequently at level 16 and 20. We could also incorporate these changes into the story more properly like this, playing out the development of your character more thoroughly. But I guess it's not my call at this point.

 

On the hideous thing, my apologies. I had it confused with the FEV virus from the actual fallout games.

And I believe as to lvl we are still lvl 11, we dont hit 12 until 770


I've been getting more into writing fanfics, mainly MLP since it has such a deep pool of creativity to pull from.

I'm good with character and story concepts, so if you need help with a fanfic or something feel free to Private message me

But don't be hurt if I have to decline if I'm tapped out for a bit. Otherwise I'm fairly good at it just sometimes I have to let my mind subconsciously think of some ideas.

Actually you can't normally take the perks as leveling perks. They are quest perks. I have a backstory that the explains how she got them. It also explains how she got the other two as well. The only reason the touched by the taint hasn't shown itself yet is because you need advanced radiation poisoning to activate them.

 

While the life expectancy is permanent, You still need advanced radiation poisoning to gain the AP/FP regain, the limb regain and the 20% increased strength and speed.

 

I was willing to give up my 10th and 12th leveling perks as well to gain all three touched by the taint perks.

 

That is I will have two leveling Perks less then the group. So when the group would have 8 leveling perks including the two starting perks, I would only have 6.

So you get 5 perks (3 ranks of tainted and the other two) at the cost of two? How is that not OP? Unless of course the rest of us get quest perks as well.

 

We reach level 12 on page 39 like I said in a previous post.

 

The advanced radiation poisoning is fairly easy to get and once you have it or doesn't decay.

The two perk slots only pertain to the touched by the taint quest perk set. The Pitt fighter and booster shot are backstory quest perks that am asking for to go with the backstory modification I had to do.

 

As for rad poison decay it is normal for gaining and losing.

That doesn't change that you'd be getting those perks for free. 2 free quest perks that you didn't gain in the RP low the rest of us. It would still not be fair, unless we ask got 3 free quest perks similar to yours.

 

Radiation doesn't decay, at least not in the mechanics of the game in hardcore mode that is.

The rad child perk and ghoul template list the rate of loss for rad points.

 

Am taking that into account as well. Plus I as a character wouldn't want to be constently under rad poisoning. She would want to remove it as soon as the purpose has been served.

 

I understand what your saying and that was why I was asking Defender about gaining them.

Alright, sorry for the confusion and perhaps annoyance I caused. There's more significant differences between fallout nv and FoE Mechanics than I thought :(

Scribble would you like to read the backstory I have for having gained the 5 quest Perks?

 

With it I gave up multiple levels of experience and am willing to give up two leveling perks to gain the rest of the touched by the taint set.

 

And it's all right. Confusion can happen. Also I don't think we playing hard mode for fallout.

 

Played Fallout 3 before and during non hard mode, rad sickness decayed at a rate of endurance an hour and double that when you sleep.

Another thing though, I saw this in the official FoE doc:

 

Gaining Perks:  Your character gains a perk every time she gains a level.  There are over 200 perks available in Fallout: Equestria.

Well, fallout new vegas follows a perk every 2 levels because the amount of available perks is significantly less. We have an insane amount of perks to choose from in the fallout Equestria perk revisions table. It was made for perk/level after all.

 

As I'm getting more excited about introducing my new character to the roleplayers, my interest in Greshken is waning drastically. Perhaps I will let him leave the party. He could always return later on (perhaps as a villain? :3)

 

Anyway, I'll be introducing virtue shortly. Perhaps a fast travel to appleoosa or ponyville, or any civilisation for that matter would be wise?

Not sure if he can go pick to the cannon in an irradiated area while already having 800 rads built up in his system. Well have to go back for it later.
