I mean by that logic we would be all over the place in levels because of varying backstories, and if it was really important to Unity to have subjected Dashia to their experiments I don't think they would have so easily given up after just five trials.

Lol exact same reasoning XD

Well it was a good bit of backstory. It could also be said that 5 trials wasn't all they did. She was there for 6 months.

If backstory size dictates the advantages of a character Greshken would be insanely op. I have more than 4 A4's of backstory for him.

How would you walk, how would you talk if you thought: "Three percent of the population likes classical music, if only we could get it up to four percent we'd be back in business and all our problems would be over." How would you walk, how would you talk if you thought: "Everybody loves classical music! They just haven't found out about it yet!" It's an entirely different world. It's what you make of it that counts.

I found an easy way to find out if you've inspired someone. If their eyes are shining, you know you're doing it!

@Scribblegroove

Yea and a trait you took for him doesn't make him op. Yea he can't wield his normal weapons. But what is stopping him from picking up a 7 strength weapon and Rad Child healing as he litterly barrels through enemies with nearly infinate health and limb regeneration. All it cost you was a single trait.

In the entire RP up until now Gresken had made 2 kills. His limbs were never regenerating, and his right arm is still crippled, his wounds are just closing (and I believe a finger is regenerating, which is a minute appendage). Last fight he was completely useless because the cannon could not be used at close range with the risk of harming allies and himself more than foes.

After he took the missile he wasn't even capable of using his only weapon properly. He regenerated health, but is now completely disabled until the radiation has decayed. One radioactive weapon more and he'd been dead.

On top of that, Greshken would always be out maneuvered in his own. He needs team members to force the enemy to come to him while he tanks damage, since that what he dies best. But dishing out damage but taking it. It's a strategy that is advantageous to the rp because it encourages teamwork.

Your build does not however, and unlike mine it does go out of line of what is and isn't allowed. (amount of perks, levels etc)

On top of that I took the rad child ability as a perk, since that's how it works in the real game, requiring 70 Survival, which is a pretty much useless Skill most of the time. so not only did I spend a perk point, but also 50 skill points for the ability to regenerate a lot of health at the cost of dealing Damage.

If it really bothers you that much I can change it :S

And I don't see how this changes anything about your build. I was completely in my right to take that trait. You taking 5 extra perks is not fair.

You know what, fine. Let's just forget I asked in the bucking first place.

Rad Child at 400+ rad points is supposed to also regain crippled limbs.

As I said before, I won't ask for anything else. Nit even going to complete the reason Dashia was exploring the wastelands.

Besides when did you become Co GM for Defender.

I don't think the rulebook was meant to interpreted strictly text-based as we're encountering major problems with the perks and the sorts, I think we ourselves are going to have to nerf OP perks and buff under powered perks.

Also the backstory doesn't sit well with me, we're talking about extreme circumstances for the unity to experiment with Dashia, 6 months would be minimal experiment time considering the sensitivity of the whole predicament, and my statement still stands, they wouldn't have accepted failure, none the less let her go like that.

Let's just find some middle ground before our RP falls apart.

We're all friends here and we're here to enjoy ourselves. No need to start attacking one another OOC

I've been getting more into writing fanfics, mainly MLP since it has such a deep pool of creativity to pull from.

I'm good with character and story concepts, so if you need help with a fanfic or something feel free to Private message me

But don't be hurt if I have to decline if I'm tapped out for a bit. Otherwise I'm fairly good at it just sometimes I have to let my mind subconsciously think of some ideas.

You can be this sour and try to guilt trip us into feeling sorry for you, or we can work out a compromise in which you can have what you want in a balanced and justifiable manner. Like I proposed, you could expend a total of 5 perk Points for those quest perks, or you could slowly gain them as we progress through the RP. If you were bothered by Greshken being quite tanky, you should have just said that. I'll remove the perk now.

Please don't be mad at me for trying to make things a bit more balanced. If everyone just gets what they want we'll get very op very quickly.

I agree with Defender that we should outline more clearly how strictly we will follow the rulebook. It's all getting quite hectic with the amount of rules and trying to figure out which we should and which we shouldn't use.

I also realise that I've been going easy to far with bbackseat mmoding fur Defender and I apologise. I tend to do that a lot and will make sure it doesn't happen again.

ok here's my middle ground.

Quest perks are gained for completion of quests or under certain circumstances.

Leveling perks are anything that requires a level to gain.

If you look at the perk list all quest perks have no level requirement.

Well the compromise would be to compromise. So we're currently having issues with rad child apparently, let's discuss what would be a 'balanced' version of it and agree on something.

Agree with midnight on the quest perks thing btw.

Plan: regenerating constantly depletes your AP, since body is using all its energy reserves to heal itself. No vats, no special moves and no sprinting when regenerating excessive accounts.

Subsequently, you can decide to reserve your AP and stop the regeneration even though you have the required amount of rads. It's a bit more controlled version of the healing, and less powerful.

Though I actually want to remove rad child altogether. It's not actually that powerful at all. And it didn't fit the character.

Wait, so Midnight is getting all those quest perks now? Because of the backstory or later through development in the RP?

Not getting them yet.

He agreed that quest perks are gained differently then leveling perks.

Radiation Child Trait

Link: http://fallout-equestria-pen-and-paper.wikia.com/wiki/Trait:_Radiation_Child

Radiation is beneficial to you; you regenerate through exposure. Your body consumes rads during the regeneration process at the rate of 10 rads per turn. However, without radiation, your body heals naturally at only a quarter of the normal rate.

Minor Radiation Poisoning (200 - 399 rads) - HP +2 every turn

Advanced Radiation Poisoning (400 - 599 rads) - HP +4 every turn

Critical radiation poisoning (600 - 799 rads) - HP +6 every turn, regenerate crippled limbs

Deadly radiation poisoning (800 - 1000 rads) - HP +8 every turn, regenerate crippled limbs. At over 1000 rads, however, you will still die. (Alicorns, Ghouls and many monsters do not die, and will even become abnormally powerful from excessive radiation.)

When not healing, your body sheds radiation at the rate of 1 point per hour if you have less than 200 rads, 2 per hour at minor radiation poisoning, 4 per hour at advanced, 6 per hour at critical and 8 per hour at deadly.

Im going to bed now. If you decide to head for a town just pretend Greshken is following you silently

Like I said I was never very familiar with fallout Equestria lore. I simply took the Perk from the real game.

For the sake of fairness, backstory will factor minimally into perks/traits/stats.

Uhhhh doesn't that basically mean Ezekiel should not exist as he does? I made all that to fit the backstory and archetype, as I do when I play the games, not the other way around.
