I don't remember a scene like:

 

"We can't grow food? Time to eat some fish."

they would even eventually think that.

 

tyra's clan didnt go with the ponies, when they left, and the remaining ponies became the shatterhoof clan.

 

that my headcannon, at least.

They stareted lookoing soomewhere else and settled

 

Cuz lets be honest, im sure they didnt just send a single expedition in a single direstion to look for a new home... they mustve sent em everywhere

Hunger can do unspeakable things

 

There were three survivors in a lifeboat, one dies. They were stranded for so long, they started eating their friend.

 

Another similar story of a guy who started eating his own leg...

 

When you are hungry, thats when all the logic and ethics disappear and pure survival instinct kicks in.... It applies to ALL living creatures

Scarlett could hear an argument going on below deck. She had no idea what for though. She does down a level or two to find Spellbind and Tyra arguing about food of all things. "What's this all about! You can't seriously be arguing about food you two, that'd stupid"
