Radiant kept his ground waiting for the monstrosity "just get to the sides outside of the tunnel, Blizzard you save your strength! Tyra and I have handled one of these ourselves during the battle for the city." He said as he prepared for the monstrosity beginning to walk backward toward the tunnel.

 

As the beast was ten yards in front of him, Radiant thrust all four of his his swords into the monstrosity's chest plate. With the beast's attention fixated on him he ran back toward the tunnel leaving his blades in the chest plate.

Tyra followed Radiant into the tunnel, turning around and continuing to goad it to follow them.

 

"I have seen foals fight better than you!" She yelled, smirking and waving a hoof at the metal beast, "Come forth and prove me wrong! I dare you!"

 

She backed up more and more as it approached, watching as Radiant's blades did more and more damage to the chest plate.

caliber was still next to ice and icarus. he made note on how the voice on the loudspeaker sounded, to better identify the person who put them there.  he continued to fight off whatever dogs that tried to get to ice or icarus, but he couldn't use way of the wanderer. not in his state. it would take too much energy. he settled on the hack-n-slash style of the greeks.

As every other pony was to the sides of the tunnel, the monstrosity rushed inside the tunnel after Radiant and Tyra.

 

Using his magic Radiant begun pulling at his swords that were still impaled in the monstrosity's chest plate. Pulling the sword to his left caused the beast to turn in that direction slamming into the tunnel wall. The impact caused two of Radiant's swords to be pushed further into the beast's chest plate while the other two broke, forcibly dispelLing themselves. Once they did he felt suddenly fatigued slightly losing his balance for a second. Two.sword hilts fell to the ground under the beast.

 

A few chunks of rock fell from the ceiling but nothing of danger. Radiant caught himself and got.ready for the monstrosity to turn around. "Once he turns, you attack his chest plate." He said to Tyra.

"Aye!" Tyra nodded to Radiant, and watched closely for the slightest window of opportunity.

Axe prepared and body lowered to sprint, she was ready to go as soon as the monster had turned.

 

It began turning itself. Time to attack.

 

She sprinted ahead, bellowing a battle cry as she leapt up to the chest plate and gave it the mightiest swing she could muster. The impact from the strike was so forceful the beast was almost sent toppling back.

 

She dislodged the blade from the chest and hopped back down.

"What now?!" She yelled to Radiant.

Blizzard was hanging behind with Icarus and Caliber, "Ugh, I'm fine. Aah ow..my head! Gotta get myself straight, how are you holding up Icarus, Caliber? Everything all right with you two?" Blizzard had no time to worry about himself, because he wanted to make sure his friends were ok.

"ya! im good!" caliber said. he really wanted to help with the prototype, but radiant said he and tyra will take care of it. so, he had to stay put, and do what he was ordered to. the dogs were thinning, he didn't think there were many more. he wasn't used to fighting like this. having traveled alone for 10+ years had made him mostly rely on himself.

Icarus kept up with the group and following the plan. Soon, another dog exposed it's self to him. He fired  his crossbow again, aiming for it's legs. Luckily it hit it's upper thigh, incapacitating the dog and causing it to collapse to the ground.  Things were going good,the enemies were thinning, the voice was losing it's temper, and they were gaining tactical superiority over the remaining enemies. Soon, things would be over he hoped. No more dogs seemed to be left, just the large machine...

As the monstrosity was regaining its balance Radiant looked at the gap in its chest plate. He removed his other two swords from the chest plate while picking the other two up off the ground manifesting their blades again.

 

His breathing was getting very heavy after his blades had broke. "That gash should be good enough," he said putting all four blades in the gash on the armor.

 

The swords begun moving up and down trying to pry the gash open just slightly.

 

After the monstrosity regained its balance it started lumbering toward the two. Radiant stood his ground as he finally pried the gash open enough for his swords to get inside. He dispelled his blades for a second sliding the hilts inside the armor. He manifested the blades cutting around inside the beast.

 

The monstrosity finally stopped in its tracks and began to.fall toward the two. Radiant was having trouble getting his swords out of the chest plate. He got three of his sword hilts out before he had to jump out of the way of the falling monstrosity.

 

"Dammit! Time to run!" He exclaimed running out of the tunnel and off to the side of it.like every pony else.

Tyra smirked and watched as Radiant proceeded with his attack on the monster.

"Yes, deliver the final blow!" She cheered.

 

Her smirk faded as she watched the beast topple forward toward them, and they both ducked out of the way.

She knew what it would do next.

 

"Aye, that would be best!" She agreed, dashing off after Radiant to the side of the tunnel to reunite with everypony else.

Blizzard saw his teammates return and asked, "Woah you guys looklike you're in a hurry, what's going on? *gasp* Please tell me you didn't lead that giant son of a gun back here. Because if you did we're screwed big time! And we're gonna need a plan come on guys I know we can do this, use your heads!"

[Chip Circuit 1,842]

As Radiant caught his breath the monstrosity finally exploded causing a torrent of fire to erupt from the tunnel. The tunnel kept the flames focused on a straight line so everyone was unharmed.

 

As the fire died down Radiant looked around the corner at the beast. He walked up to it trying to pull his last sword hilt back out of its armor.

Loud microphonics could be heard from speakers "...........Do you maind droping dead.Like now?!........I don't want to do anything bad to this ponies see im going to free em right now...." pushing of a button could be heard,and huge explosion could be heard after button was pushed"Clean up in test chamber 34 please.....Sooooo did you guys hear anny good music lately?"

Blizzard had come out of hiding, "Woah! You guys got it?! That's amazing! And see this is why we gotta work as a team!!! Because if we weren't we would've been so screwed *phew*. Ok What next? Can we take a breather before we go to the next room?" Blizzard then sat in a corner and read his magazine to make himself feel better.

caliber glanced at ice blizzard. "yeah, i could use a breather." he, too, sat down. he scribbled an entry into his adventure log, and when he thought no-one was looking, he un-screwed the bottom of his sword, and took something out. he looked at it for a little before putting it back in.

Radiant finally was able to remove his last sword hikt from the monstrosity's chest plate "finally," he said as he tried to manifest the blade, which wouldn't manifest. "Dammit, it's damaged to badly... maybe I can get it repaired and re-enchanted when I'm back in canterlot."

 

He walked out.of the tunnel looking at the group. "You guys can rest up, Icarus we're goino to see if we can help the victims." He said as he begun walking toward some of the ponies in the room.

Tyra let out a deep sigh, followed by her wide grin.

"We have succeeded!" She declared, punching the air with a hoof, "We will be out of here in no time!"

 

Her ears perked up as she heard the speakers crackling, and the mare's voice berating them. Tyra simply smirked.

Her threat, followed by the explosion, caused her smirk to drop completely.

 

"No...did she...?"

 

Fearing the worst, she dashed after Radiant, looking around for the ponies as well.

Blizzard was feeling better as he read his magazine and thought to himself, "*sigh* Oh lovely Rarity, it's amazing how just the mere sight of you can make a pony feel better. With your gorgeous sapphire eyes, your lovely Diamond Butt, your awesome fashion sense and generosity. You're so awesome.   " He then looked around to make sure nopony was watching him and want back to reading it. "O///O :P"

Icarus we're goino to see if we can help the victims.

 

"got it" Icarus said, hefting his medical bag and galloping over to Radiant. As he looked over some of the other ponies, he looked for obvious signs of torture and imprisonment. Malnutrition, scars and bleeding, fatigue. Most of them didn't look to be in the best condition, and Icarus was determined to help all of them as much as he could.

[Chip Circuit 1,842]

As Radiant got closer to.some of the ponies he could see their condition was terrible. Many were injured from blunt force. Some were strapped into torture devices. All of them seemed like they were only fed scraps to barely stay alive. "We help those in the worst condition first, if you deem that a pony cannot be saved, I will end it quickly for them." He looking at the ground.

Tyra let out a sigh of relief, happy that none of the ponies had been hurt.

Well, any further than they had been already.

 

As Icarus and Radiant assessed the freed ones, she went around any occupied devices to remove their bindings by force.

"You will be alright, my friends," she assured them, propping one onto her back to bring to Icarus, "we will get you all out of here."

 

She delivered ponies over to the other two one by one until they were all together. She sat and waited, feeling horrible for these terrible conditions they were all in.

 

That mare would pay dearly for what she has helped to do, betraying her own kind like this...

Icarus got everything out and set it next to all of the ponies. He removed his face mask to give them something more personal too look at. Not to mention someone who had been through similar events to them. "Radiant, see if you can get them out of thoes torture devices. They more than likely have worst wounds" He said, as he pulled some rations out and handed them to the starving ponies. " If any of you have food, now is the time to bring them over" ICarus said, reassuring all the ponies.

After Blizzard got calmer, he got up, put his magazine in his ice saddlebag, and scoped the place out, "Hmm creepy lookin place. I can't wait to pound the face of that evil mare so hard! *blasts a table near Tyra* Whoops, sorry Ty. Anyway, whaddya guys think of this place? I wonder exactly how far are we from the tavern and camp. Hmmm...any thoughts? Caliber? Tyra?"

[Chip Circuit 1,842]

Radiant nodded removing his rations and his canteens of water from his bag setting them next to Icarus.

 

He limped over to some of the torture devices releasing the ponies restrained to them. Once he would release a pony he would carry them over to Icarus.

 

He heard commotion from blizzard and looked in his direction "Blizzard either sit down and recover your stamina, or if you're good enough to ask pointless questions and blast tables then help release some of these ponies" he shouted.

ICarus let the hungry ponies eat and moved over to the ones that were badly wounded. He spent several minutes on each one, patching them up and giving the stitches and healing.  Sadly, some of them seemed to had been killed before they got there, but so far he was fixing up everyone he could.Soon though, he came across one he had to make a decision with.

 

"Radiant, come here......this one has a spinal injury...paralyzed from the neck down...what should we do with him ? " ICarus asked
