(before caliber and blizzard left)

 

caliber perked up. "vanhoover...dragon bash..." his eyes lit up. "dont tell me we're in the dragon bash festival?!" caliber had jumped up, and dashed outside the train alongside ice blizzard. blizzard led them to that store, and caliber replenished his sword polish. he also got himself a new sharpening stone. his old one had almost run out. then, he started having what he called "a good time", which is namely running around like an idiot, screaming random things about the booths. "hmmm...maybe i should set up a makeshift booth..." he wondered, "it would be a "challenge a sword master""...he saw a booth that was just that. caliber had been here at the dragon bash once before, and he had such a crazy night, he woke up forty miles away. with an element of harmony in his bag, but its best not to dwell in that. caliber walked around, looking for the main event, which was the draogns. he had already eaten and drunk a hundred bits worth of food, and he wasn't showing any signs of stopping.

Blizzard had eaten and eaten and eaten so much that he knew he would be vomiting the next day, "Yeah I'm definitely gonna throw up tomorrow if I don't slow down, but I can't help it! The food is sooooo good here!" Blizzard had also managed to find 3 more magazines, giving him a total of 5. He sat down at a table near the tavern and marveled his magazine collection, "Wow, I have so many magazines of my Rarilove!" *hugs the magazines and sniffs them* "Ah, so much lovliness for me to enjoy  I can't wait to read all the new ones I got. But I gotta keep all these secret from my friends, they'd never let me live it down, and even if they did, it'd be so embarrassing." Blizzard stowed his magazine collection in his ice saddlebag, which made it bulge and had gotten some ice cream to help calm his stomach, "Mmm blueberry ice cream! That's gonna make me feel bette. Hmmm I wonder where the dragons are. Heh, I wonder if the others are going crazy like me and getting sick. *laughs* I hope they're having fun like me."

As our heroes celebrate this un usual Dragon Bash festival,sun started to set on this cloude day,and moon started to raise but it was hard to see it.

And with the night merchents startrd to open there litle shops right next to the road.There was everything here,from toy swords,to full metalic armor.From the most exotic pets,to the most exotic food.But the prices where high for low quality.And next to the shops,games started to open.There where every kind of games here,from simple knock the botle game all the way to gladiator arena for the best fighters.There was one giant,with out walls tent,it was filled with ponys that whanted to dance to every kind of music.And with night,light started to appere every where,and they made this moon less night,look like midle of day...

Icarus stood up slowly and walked off the train. " I will be fine Tyra, my body should be able to recover soon, I hope" HE said in response to her comment on medicine. It was nice out and warm, compared to the outpost, and a starlit cloudy sky above. IT was a very welcome change from the frozen wastes they had once inhabited. He looked around at the many stalls. " Were to go from here...." He mumbled.

Tyra stayed with Icarus and walked around with him, in case he needed emergency assistance. Indeed, the weather was pleasantly warm, a welcome change from the cold outpost. Looking around at the stalls, she began to think perhaps she'd earned a little relaxation from working so hard the past days.

 

"Perhaps I should try that game where you knock the bottles off a table," she wondered to her ally as she looked around, "or perhaps the 'apple-bobbing' game ponies play out in the country?"

 

She froze with a gasp as she noticed a sign leading to a 'Gladiator Arena'. Now that was right up her alley.

"That sounds like fun!" She squealed, hopping on her hooves excitedly, "I would love to see what the local fighters are like!"

 

She glanced up to her friend. "And you can come watch! It would be most fun, and we can enjoy a nice drink afterwards! Ooh, I wonder if they have mead here!"

Her excitement was starting to get the better of her, making the two of them look more like a father taking his daughter out to the festival in fancy dress.

"Sure, I bet you can kick any ponies rear end in an arena" ICarus said with a chuckle. " I would love to watche and route you on" Tyra was getting really excited, but she could use a bit of fun and games. They all needed a bit of relaxation after what they had been through. He walked over to the gladiator pit with her.

Radiant kept his place at a table in the corner of the tavern so he could be with himself. He had been eating some grass sandwiches and drinking some non alcoholic cider.

 

As he sat there he kept pondering what would happen to his future and his life if he never recovered his magic. For him it didn't seem promising.

 

Through the wall he could hear the joyous laughter and screams of the ponies partaking in the festival. Radiant was half tempted to go out and join in the festivities but with no physical energy he wouldn't be able to handle it for long.

Blizzard wanted to move around, "*sniffs magazine collection one more time before putting them into his ice saddlebag* See you later my love.   " He trotted around for a bit, trying to control his urges to eat more food and stumbled upon Icarus and Tyra, "Hey guys, whatcha up to? Are you guys going crazy partying?!" He then sees the gladiator arena, "Oooh axe girl you should go in! I'd be on the edge of my seat watching you fight! Go on, show 'em what you can do axe girl!"

Tyra and Icarus walked toward the Gladiator Arena, and stopped as Blizzard approached them.

He seemed to agree that Tyra should enter the arena, sounding his support for her.

 

"Well, I shan't disappoint either of you!" She declared, beating her chest and practically radiating with confidence, "Very well, I shall see what the local fighters have to offer!"

 

She trotted toward the sign-up desk, looking up at the stallion attending it.
"I wish to sign up for the tournament!" She told him, smirking.

 

The stallion stifled a laugh, causing the mare to cock her head and raise an eyebrow.

"Are you sure, kid?" He asked.

"I am no foal," she huffed, "allow me to sign up!"

 

"Well, alright then," he shrugged, and grabbed a quill in his teeth, "what's your name and where're you from?"

She smirked and put a hoof over her chest. "Tyra Shatterhoof, of the Frozen North!"

He nodded and jotted down her name. "Alright, no magic, no cheap shots, and no killing blows with that axe of yours. This is for fun, after all."

 

"Of course!" She nodded, grinning.

"Okay, good luck to you." The stallion nodded back, letting her go on her way.

Blizzard was excited to see one of his friends fight and grabbed Icarus to get them front row seats, "Ooooh I can't wait! Well wait are ya standing around for doc? Come on! *grabs him* let's go watch axe girl fight! I'm so excited!!!"  Blizzard sat them down at front row seats, "Haha! I wonder who she's gonna beat?"

After spending some of his time eating Ticktock walked around the night stores looking for stuff to do. After so time spent searching he found the gladiatorial arena ( This is just before Blizz, Tyra and Icarus find it) he then thinks to himself "Nice! a good fight or to is just what I need to watch while my food settles" So with that Ticktock walks in.

caliber was walking around, when he saw his friends gathered up in one place. "oh? whats going on, here?" caliber asked as he walked up to them.  he quickly realized what it was, and signed up, too. he grinned towards tyra. "you ready for a rematch? this time, radiant wont stop us." "who knows who'll win..."

Tyra waited in the arena lobby, hopping on her hooves and twisting her neck to loosen up for the fights. She eyed up the other fighters, smirking at them, while they all gave her more incredulous looks. She really stood out amongst the larger, tougher-looking fighters, being a mare of normal mass and a few inches short for her height.

 

She spotted Caliber walk in, and smirked up to him as he spoke.

"Aye, it shall be a grand fight," she agreed, "but none of that dark magic of yours. This shall be a battle of pure skill, and I intend for it to not be a draw this time."

caliber grinned. "wasn't planning to." he leaned in closer. " 'cause i wont need it." he sat down next to her. "look at all these other ponies. do ya think there'll be any good challengers?" he asked, peering around the room. "i feel like we're the only good ones..."

As Tyra got prepared,lest two fighters wallked near her.And at that momet anoucer started "From the North enters come,new fighter from frozen North.Give it up foulks for Tyra!!!."and the big dore in front of Tyra opened."And from south enters comes the one,the onli the un defitable Miss S!!" And as he said her name crowd gone waild..

caliber busted a gut laughing. " "unbeatable"? everyone's defeatable. no-one's the strongest. but i know one thing: tyra's gonna win." he even made a few bets on it. just for kicks. then he went to see the battle itself. "yo! tyra! you can do it! you're a legend!" caliber shouted encouragement.

As the announcer said Tyra's name Ticktock spat out his drink in shock "Wow I didn't know Tyra was here" then as he looked round the arena he spotted Blizz and Icarus. He then thought to himself "Well I really need to start paying attention more". *He spends the hole fight cheering Tyra on*

"You must never underestimate an opponent," Tyra instructed, glancing up to her ally, "it leads to carelessness, which leads to defeat." She added with a sagely nod.

 

She perked up as an announcer began making introductions, and one of the guards in the lobby ushered her to the huge door.

The door opened as her name was announced, and she proudly strode into the arena with a smirk of confidence. She barely got a response from the audience, aside from looks of either incredulity and even concern. She could see and hear her friends cheer for her, which was all the support she needed.

 

The audience erupted into cheers as 'The undefeatable Miss S' walked in from the opposite door.

"Undefeated?" Tyra scoffed to herself, readying her axe for the fight, "well as the phrase goes, there is a first time for everything."

Icarus watched as Tyra was introduced to the crowd. He gave as good of a cheer for her as he could in his sick condition. He eyed up the other fighters. They seemed tough, but he was sure that Tyra could beat them with the right mix of strategy, skill, and her signature brute force. He watched her, she seemed very confident in herself. This would be a fight for Icarus to remember.

 

"You got this Tyra" He said to himself.

Radiant finally finished eating his fill and had enough cider, so he decided to leave the tavern after he paid for his food.

 

As he was outside he walked through the crowds looking for his team to spend some time with them all and try to have his spirits raised as well.

Radiant heard Tyra's name announced not to far from where he was so he tried galloping toward the area. Because of his weakened state he could only manage a trot.

 

He reached the area pushing his way through the crowd until he found himself next to caliber. He looked down into the ring and there was Tyra facing another pony ready for battle. "Don't go killing them Tyra," he said calling down at her.

"oh, hey, radiant." caliber said simply, before turning back to the fight. "ya know, i entered this competition, too. theres a very real chance that ill fight tyra." his eyes flashed mischiefly. "only this time you cant stop us!" he laughed. "dont worry, i wont kill her. heck, i wont even maim her. heck, i dont even know if i'll win!!" he said, grinning.

Blizzard made a bet on Tyra as well before entering, "Come on axe girl! You got this! Take that mare to the cleaners! Ooh I just know she's gonna win! I wonder if Caliber entered? Ha! Knowing him he's probably next up!" he then picks up a huge container of popcorn he bought, "Here doc, want some? *munch* I bought waaaaaaay more than I'm gonna eat. *hoofs popcorn toward Icarus*"

As the Tyra walked on the fighting circle,from other side started walking Miss S.She was caring big hamer ower her back.And un like some fighters that looked at crowd that cheered.Miss S looked at Tyra with sinister look,she walking slow but stady and she had sinister smail on her face.As she walked in fighting circle anoucer started "Fighters get ready...set...FIGHT!".Miss S didnt move...

Radiant saw the look on the other mare's face she looked at Tyra. Radiant narrowed his eyes getting a closer look of her face reading her expression. "I don't like this, I have a feeling that other fighter is out for blood." He said partially under his breath, he didn't want to yell at Tyra to distract her even for a second against this opponent.

Tyra twisted her neck, feeling it click as she stared down Miss S, who gave her an intimidating glare back.

 

"Intimidation will not work on me," she snickered.

 

As soon as the announcer declared the fight begun, she darted into a charge, bellowing a battle cry as she angled her head. Once she was close to Miss S, she attempted a heavy swing.
