"Me?" Caramel said loudly, her cover blown as Dark addressed her. "I'm not scared. Look at me, clearly not scared." Of course, his smelling her fear or whatever had only increased it, but she worked to calm herself.

 

"Yeah, let's not fight the Dark Lord from a thousand years ago." Caramel said flatly upon Tyra's statement, and blinked at Caliber's suggestion. She rounded on him, gaping. "Wait, you're not serious, are you?" she asked. "I mean, true, this guy seems evil and powerful, but... Tyra's right! We need to get to the top of this tower, not worry about this guy!" she proclaimed.

Blizzard whispered to Caliber, "Don't turn your back on this guy. I have a way to counter this with a reverse psychological banter. If we don't kill him, Tick doesn't die. We just gotta find another way. No big dealio brolio."

 

He started to walk forward, "So...where we headed?"

Dark gave a slight smile at Caramel "I like this kid" Then he turned to Blizzard "Well I can sense something further down this corridor if you want to know although I doubt you do."  Dark had slipped in next to Caramel "You know Miss Caramel I honestly like you although if you say that to anypony else I will not admit to it."

Caramel squeaked, her fear doubling at Dark's abrupt nearness to her. "Sweet Celestia, that's creepy!" she complained, automatically flaring her magic into a shield and leaping away, hiding behind Ticktock. She changed her mind after realizing that Dark had come from Ticktock and hid behind Tyra instead. "Tyra, he's creepy. Can I go on ahead now? I think I'm probably just making him more powerful," she said, her voice strained as she reached reason. Calm down. You're right, you're just making it worse. RELAX. She managed to calm herself somewhat.

Tyra snarled at Dark's comments and taunts, watching as he flaunted himself around the room.

 

She watched as Caramel ducked behind her, and stood forward protectively.

"Do not worry, my friend," She growled, "This demon has been defeated before by a Shatterhoof, so a Shatterhoof can defeat it again."

Blizzard was getting bored just standing around talking to a demonic abomination that serves them no real purpose other than to bother them and talk smack. He looked ahead towards the corridor, "Hm...seems dangerous. But interesting. Alright, who's goin' first this time?"

"Dark, leave her alone." Red said darkly. "Listen, we don't have time for this. Every second we spend here, the Djinn and the Order are in more danger. And we are, too." She promptly turned away from Dark. "I'm going on ahead."

 

Red wasn't quite as down-to-earth as she liked to think she was being at the moment. There was a nagging suspicion for the real reason of her actions: she just didn't want to fight Dark for fear of killing Ticktock. If she went on ahead and Dark attacked her teammates and-- whoops! she wasn't there-- then she wouldn't be responsible in the slightest for killing Ticktock.

 

Was that really what she was turning into? Was that the kind of pony that friends made her become?

 

It didn't matter. She pushed the thoughts out of her mind as she walked away from her allies.

Tyra stood up straight upon hearing Red's warning to Dark. She was certainly much colder than before.

 

Obviously the pressure of their current mission was getting to her, she could understand that.

"Aye, she is correct," she agreed, returning her axe to her back, "We have no time for this, let us move on."

 

She trotted up to Red, catching up with her. She frowned as she looked at her.

"You have seemed rather...well, dark, lately, my friend," she said with some concern.

Blizzard was getting annoyed. He decided to catch up with Tyra and Red as well, "Ugh, can we just go? The last thing we need is this team to fall apart due to something stupid. Alright? We're all friends here. And we should be happy."

 

He playfully dumped some snow on their heads, and hugged them both with each of his arms as a way to get them happy, "Now come guys. We're not backing down are we?" he said as he let go.

"Funny you should say that when Ticktock's the one being possessed by a thousand year old evil demon," Red said drily. She paused for a moment, staring at Tyra, but eyes rather glazed, holding a far-off look. She was deep in thought.

 

"This quest is getting to all of us," Red said at last. "Don't worry about me, Tyra. I can handle myself. I feel sorry for you. You are always happy, and always pulling us up-- meanwhile, we're all scared, or angry, and just losing it. Tyra, I should be supporting you, not the other way around." She turned her head away. "I don't want to talk about this anymore," she added. "You'll just convince me my problems are a big deal, when they're not."

 

She fell silent as Ice caught up to them. "No, we're not," she agreed. She turned back to Tyra. "Say, where's your pet?" She could really use a lick-to-the-face right now.

Caramel was having a great time hearing all the dark puns. It was cheering her up immensely. "Hey, has redemption ever interested you?" she asked Dark, mostly to annoy him. She doubted it had. But the fact that he hadn't attack them and wasn't letting them attack him was a good sign to her. "I've heard greeaaat things about redemption! Only 99 bits. Buy today to get a 33% sale. Whaddya say--actually, never mind, you might do something bizarre again," she said, changing her mind and fleeing after Tyra.

 

"Yeah, where is that overgrown adorable mutt of yours?" she asked Tyra upon hearing Red's question.

Tyra smiled warmly and put a hoof on Red's shoulder.

"I am happy to support you, my friend," she said softly, "and everypony else here. Even if I lose most of my legs or the use of my jaw, I will not stop this fight for us."

 

"And if you do have problems, you may speak to me about them," she assured her, with a wide grin, "I will always listen!"

 

Upon hers, and Caramel's query, she perked up in realisation. "Oh!" She put a hoof to her mouth and whistled, and heavy pawbeats sounded as Blizzard bounded up to the ponies happily.

An idea came across her, and she pointed a hoof to Red while looking at the wolf with a mischievous smirk.

 

"Kiss!" She commanded.

 

The wolf instantly gave Red a long slobbery lick up the face, her fluffy tail wagging happily.

Blizzard stopped for a moment and grumbled in frustration while putting his hooves up, "Grrrr...." "You gotta be kiddin' me! NOTHING good has come from this team. What the buck are we gonna do?!"

 

He stopped walking, and spoke sternly, "Ok, you know something? I've had it. This has got to be the worst case scenario. I mean, do ANY of you not recall all the BS we've been through in the last few months? Apparently you don't because this team--no my FRIENDS have been the most reliable ponies I've known. And all of you wanna just give that up? Heck no! And you know what? I'm gonna admit it: Scarlett took my blood, and if she wanted she could use it to make clones of me to freeze all of Equestria. But you know something? I'm not moping around like a sad clown, because I know my team has my back! And because I know there's is no 'I' in team guys, I know that myself isn't a priority here. And apparently we've forgotten that one moral."

 

He looked over his team, "I mean, Caliber's acting like something's wrong, Red's acting weird now, and Ticktock's soul is being taken over. But the team I know can rise above everything. We can accomplish anything we set our minds to. Yeah, Scarlett has blown up some towns, yeah we've had our backs against the wall several times, and yeah, it hasn't been easy. BUT WE'VE OVERCOME IT. Come on, guys. You gotta understand, the team is only as strong as its weakest link, and this team HAS no weak links. At least last time I checked...."

 

He spoke very annoyed due to how much angst his team was displaying, as he walked ahead, "So if none of you care about what I just said, that's fine with me. But ask yourselves this: Are we Legends? Or have we forgotten who we are? I'll see you guys down within..."

 

And with that, he walked towards the corridor without looking back.

Red burst into a smile as Blizzard licked her and she affectionately hugged the wolf's neck for a moment.

 

Ice began to speak and she separated herself, watching him. She wasn't acting weird! She was trying her best to hide it. Damn, she was bad at being subtle. She'd been trying to help others and all she'd done was make it about herself. Great.

 

But Ice was right. She couldn't just hide negative thoughts, she needed to outright get rid of them. They didn't matter right now. They needed to keep going, they'd fought lots before.

 

She pat Blizzard on the head once and followed Ice.

caliber grabbed ticktock, and pulled him back a little, near the back of the group. "you didnt answer my question." he hissed into his ear, "if you die, does dark die, too?"

 

it might have come off cruel, but caliber was just concerned for his friends lives. and if sacrificing one friends meant saving the rest...then...

Blizzard happily accepted the hug, nuzzling her large head against Red.

 

Tyra listened intently to Ice's speech. Indeed, Caliber acted like something was wrong, and Ticktock's soul was in danger, but was Red really acting...weird?

 

He hadn't mentioned Tyra herself either, and she had to wonder why.

However, she knew one thing.

 

"He is correct!" She agreed, "We are warriors, and we were chosen for this! We are the ones who will destroy this witch, together as a team! Nay, as friends!"

 

She charged after Ice and Red, yelling a battle cry. Blizzard let out a confident howl and ran with her.

Ticktock blasted Caliber off with magic "GET OFF ME! If I knew trust me I would have killed myself a long time ago as far as I know my death is what's missing for him to become whole again." Ticktock then walked forward like Blizzard

 

Meanwhile Dark was thinking about Redemption and began to speak to Caramel "Well my dear what is the point in redemption when you look like this ponies will look at you and think you are evil because of my dabbling in Dark magic and I sometimes think that...well if I had the chance I would take back the things I have done."

caliber growled, getting blasted by the unexpected magic. part of him wanted to slice of the tip of his horn, as a warning never to do that again, but thats not exactly what friends do, huh?

 

now in an extremely bad mood, he followed behind the group. he was still intending not to fight, unless the situation called for his help.

As our heroes walked in next big room,they could seen there was noting alive there,onli one giant plant with five dark green petals.The other side exit of room was blocked by thorn vines.Floor of the room was full of normal green vines.As our heroes made frst hoovestop in room  one vine raised form flore,and on it appered thorns.And swinged in our heroes way.

 

(So you need to unlock other side of room by doing something in this room.When ever you move normal vines will raise from flore,and become thorn vines and atack you.God luck)

caliber watched the plant intently. "well, now, shall i just burn the plant up with fire?" he asked bitterly. "after all, nothing bad could possibly go wrong. just like last time, right?"

 

he sighed, looking at the room. "maybe ice can just freeze everything. that might work." he added, sitting down.

Blizzard thought for a long while before speaking, "Hmm..I don't know, bruh. I say we should let our leader, Tyra, make the first move this time. I think if we stop and think before acting, we can do better this time." He then turned to Tyra, "So Tyra, what do you think we should do?"

Tyra stopped and looked around the room, regarding all the vines and thorns surrounding the group. She sat down and began tapping her temple. "Think, think, think..."

 

As Ice suggested they wait for her to decide, somehow, she was reminded of seeing winter in Equestria one year, and seeing how brittle and easy to break the leaves and twigs from autumn would become.

 

...wait, perhaps that was it!

 

"I have an idea," She suddenly chirped, then looked up at Ice, "If you freeze the plants here, it will make them brittle and easy to break! Then We can all begin taking them apart with our blades!"

Blizzard nodded at Tyra, and looked at the plants, "Ok, I think I got this. Just make sure we keep this together this time, guys." And with that, he slowly began to freeze the plants. And once they were frozen, he spoke, "Alright. Your guys' turn. Whenever you're ready."

Caramel had been silent upon Dark's addressing her. She had perked with interest, upon his confession of sometimes being sorry, but as she looked at the rest of the group, she wasn't sure how to respond. She knew very little about this pony--she wasn't even certain he was a pony. The others certainly looked on at Dark with a certain level of distrust. She glanced at him briefly, opening her mouth, to encourage him cheerfully to hang out with them--sure, she had only just joined this merry fellowship, but they seemed nice enough (especially when you weren't trapped inside another pony)--but changed her mind as she saw him. He was probably right, she thought as she eyed him. Realistically, who would trust a pony who had done such evil things as this pony clearly had? She wasn't sure if she would. She had mainly been joking around, and her jokes had been turned against her in a moment by this pony. So, instead, she had turned silently away from him, trotting nearby to this shadow of Ticktock, yet feeling more distant from Dark than the rest of the group who were several yards away from her by now.

 

 

She caught up to the group at the room with the plants, and groaned. "Plants. Too many plants," she muttered to herself. She listened to the others construct the plan, and grinned as Ice froze everything. "Nice one, Icy. Neat trick, by the way--maybe I'll try and figure it out someday," she said, switching from her bow to her knives. She began attempting to cut through the plants.

Ticktock just stood in awe looking at the giant plant get frozen "Wow look at the size of that plant it is massive I wonder what kind of magic they use to make plants so big?"

 

Meanwhile Dark was getting a little angry with Caramel "Seriously why are you ignoring me I am just trying to make friendly conversation?"
