Blizzard gave Tyra some gauze he had purchased as the store, "Here. Wrap that up before it gets infected." He tossed it and her and began to mumble several curse words to himself. He could hardly express his anger at that---whatever it was. The next time he saw it, he would kill it. DEAD.

"It must have grown stronger from our anger," Red realized. "I believe that was a siren. The last sirens that were seen were in Starswirl the Wizard's times. What is a siren doing disguised as a Djinn?" She said all this aloud, but mostly to herself.

 

She shook the thoughts off and moved to Tyra. "Are you alright, friend?" She asked, examining Tyra's leg worriedly.

Tyra smiled up at Ticktock, while wrapping the gauze around her wound.

"I will not stand by and allow a demon such as that to threaten my companions," She promised, then bit off the roll of gauze once her hoof was wrapped up.

 

She stood and smiled widely at Red. "I am fine, thank you my friend." She flexed her hoof experimentally. "It is merely a stab wound, it shall heal!"

after the siren escaped, caliber was flipping through his book. "yeah, its just a stab wound." he said, "it'l heal."

 

he was still flipping through his book, when he suddenly stopped. "thats odd. not one page on sirens...this must be the first time in ten years iv seen one..."

Blizzard began to flip through his own book as well, "Hmm....apparently granddad has only seen them a few times. He hasn't listed any sorta particular way of dealing with them. But don't worry Tyra, like Caliber said, it will heal soon enough. For now....what's our next move?"

With Blizzard's help, Tyra got onto her hooves and gave her leg another experimental flick.

"I am not worried, I have suffered much worse," She declared, smirking to the two stallions.

 

She spotted more of the plants nearby, and pointed toward them. "We shall continue southward, and find the source of this epidemic."

Red nodded at Tyra. She opened her mouth to suggest maybe staying awhile, but closed it. After all, what good would that do?

 

"Yeah. Let's continue." Red said, absently giving Blizzard (the wolf) a pat on the head, deciding that she would watch Tyra in case she needed some-pony to lean on while moving. She turned southward and began forward.

Blizzard happily took the pat on the head, nuzzling her large head against Red. Obviously she was becoming rather attached to the mare.

 

Tyra looked to Red with interest, upon noticing she had opened her mouth to speak.

She trotted up to her. "Was there something you wanted to say?" She asked, completely honest and without even a speck of sarcasm.

Ice Blizzard looke around. The place seemed to be empty of all signs of enemies. He looked at Tyra and asked, "Ok, axe girl, where we headed next? Any idea of what we gotta do?" He threw questions left and right. Ice didn't wanna just stay in one spot for too long and get ambushed.

Caramel had been quietly brooding. The fact that the Djinn--well,  siren, apparently, she hadn't even heard of sirens before--could have been apparently rather important, and that she had shot it, and it hadn't reacted... It had been brood-worthy for her, at the very least. Now, she finally spoke, her voice containing some of her bitterness. "I vote we go after that Tartarus-damned siren. Since we're going south anyway, that's cool--ugh, I just want to kill that disgusting thing. How's that wound feeling?" she asked Tyra, though the north-pony had already clearly taken care of it. She went over to Blizzard and snuggled him a little bit, to vent some frustration.

Tyra perked up as Caramel approached her, and she sounded incredibly venomous as she voted to keep moving. She agreed, but she wanted to see what was on Red's mind first.

 

"It is feeling a little better now," She answered, smiling down at her leg, "It may take some time to fully heal, I fear."

 

Blizzard happily accepted the snuggles, using her tongue to give Caramel a long sloppy lick up the face in return.

Red smiled at Blizzard (the wolf) and blinked at Tyra. (And Caramel, once, a little surprised at her animosity of the creature. This might bode ill, Caramel seemed very reckless, and they already had IB and Caliber.)

 

"Oh no," Red said, smiling faintly. "It does not matter. I was merely going to suggest we stay awhile. I'm concerned for your leg. But staying wouldn't really help. But, uh, if you need any help, you can lean on me," she offered, warmly.

Tyra returned the warm smile to Red, humbled by her offer. Normally, warriors of the north would be offended by such a gesture, but Shatterhoofs were always happy to accept a helping hoof, seeing it as a sign of compassion and respect.

 

"Thank you, friend," She replied, raising her bad leg slightly, "I think I am okay for now, but I will happily take your offer should I need it."

"so, are we ready to go?" caliber asked, giving up on his book, and storing it back into his bag. "because im itching to slice that thing into ribbons, and that feeling ain't gonna last long."

 

once again, he was rather upset with himself for letting his friend get hurt. but then again, it was just a minor stab wound...

Our heroes got up and started walking in a way where siren thet feed on rage gone.

 

They did not walk a long before they seen big clering in from of them.Clearing was huge,almost as big ay ponyville.There was litle lake in midle of clearing and water of thet litle lake was dark as night.Most of trees and bushes was dead on thet clearing.There was not a single animal or bug around our heroes.It was like all of them runed from something.There were tents all around thet litle lake,but this werent normal tents,they were made from plants,thet were looking as dead as the rest of this swamp.And probably this was the place were Djinn made there litle camp site.There were big and small Djinn around,adult Djinn were armed,with bows and axes.Like group of Djinn our heroes killed.In midle not too much from ground were three Siren,they talked something and two flyed tower the midle of lake,and just disapired.3Th thet didnt flyed out was Siren thet our heroes had chance to meet.Our heroes could not fight whole camp alone,they should make a plan,maybie diversion,thet will clear Djinn from camp and make them easyer to face Siren.

 

(Guys you still did not see camp,you need to get litle closer to see it.)

Tyra scanned her eyes across the clearing, and the lake dominating it. Everything looked so...dead. The trees, the plants, the lack of animals...even the water looked sick.

 

The tents made of dead trees got her attention, along with the Djinn occupying them. She gave a low growl and began dragging her hoof on the ground, like a bull preparing to charge.

 

"Such a crime against nature should not go unpunished," she muttered.

They had walked a little ways and suddenly, a clearing had opened up before them-- a clearing full of dead trees, dead grass, no animals, a gloomy lake, a bunch of gloomy tents, and a lot of Djinn.

 

Red glanced warningly at Tyra, sensing that she might be about to charge out. "Hold on. We haven't even found out what's going on yet. Let's not kill any more Djinn than we have to. Right now, we're after that siren." She scanned the camp. She couldn't see the djinn with the red eyes anywhere. Or any Djinn without a weapon. "It's got to be somewhere around here. We need to get in there somehow." She mused. How could they get in there? Disguising themselves hadn't really worked last time; anyway, they were out of the camouflage paint. Maybe they could set fire to the camp and scare the Djinn out of it, but that might also scare off the siren. And it would threaten the whole forest.

"What kind of place has no birds?" Caramel had been grumbling along these lines for the past half an hour as they passed through the lifeless place. "It's so quiet. It needs birds. Bucking birds, where are they when--Luna's horse-slippers, buck," she added emphatically upon seeing the camp. "What in Discord's soggy ear are those dumb plant-ponies doing?" Caramel, who had until today quite liked the idea of mythical plant-ponies, now harbored an intense dislike for them.

 

 

 

"It's got to be somewhere around here. We need to get in there somehow."

 

"Yeah, but how?" Caramel grunted quietly, watching the camp. "Wanna try disguising ourselves again? Sure worked last time." She managed to calm herself down. Her mindless annoyance at the siren had completely killed her mood, and she needed to be on her game. She sighed quietly. "Sorry, better now. Mmph, yeah, agreeing with you, though--we shouldn't charge these ponies. They look like they mean business." She considered, then turned to Ticktock, who, she knew, was very good with magic. "Hey. Can you enchant bugs so you can perceive what they're sensing, send them in, and then try and figure things out with that?"

Ticktock gulped "Yep there is defiantly dark magic at work here look at the plants and water just like it is around my tower dead. Maybe we could get a closer look but we need to get them all out first. any ideas?"

 

Ticktock listened to Caramel's idea "Well yes that is possible but I don't think there would be enough magic to force the bugs in they seem scared of it."

Blizzard scowled. He couldn't stand looking at plants being used this way. He saw Tyra prepare herself to kick flank, but he stopped her, "Uh-uh. Nope. Not this time Ty. You are not gonna run your ass out there and get hurt again. We need to think of a plan here." He then got an idea, "3-Step plan guys. Distraction. Diversion. Division. Distraction: We gotta get them off their rockers. Diversion: We get them away from here. Division: We pick their distracted butts off 1 by 1. Whaddya think?"

Tyra growled as she was held back by the others, but they were correct; even if she was injured, she could take on these Djinn, but those Sirens were definitely much more powerful.

 

One step at a time.

 

She nodded to Ice's proposal of a plan. "But how do we lure away the Djinn? We do not know what attracts or repels them!"

Blizzard patted Tyra's head in a sarcastic manner, "Tyzerz, Tyzerz, Tyzerz....let's think basic here for a moment. What do plants hate enough to run away from, or like enough to run towards? Give up? Many things. Plants hate fire enough to run away. Calibro, use your fire thing, and light the place up. Or if we wanna lure them away, we could use this mulch I bought."

 

He took out a 10-pound bag of mulch, "If we scatter it in a trail, we could lure them away from their camp. Whaddya say guys?"

From inside Ticktock's head Dark was moaning "Why? why did we have to be stuck with such idiots cant I just have just one moment of peace. It's bad enough having to work with the ancestor of one of the ponies who imprisoned me but know I can... I can feel great dark magic." he then shut up and began to think to himself "maybe if we get close enough to it a way for my freedom"

"I like his plan," Caramel announced, pointing it Ice. "I think he's a genius, and we should all listen to him from now on." This was only half of a joke. Ice was an idiot, but really, where did he get a 10-pound bag of mulch? "But, on a more serious note, while I understand these are plant ponies I don't think mulch will lead them away. It's like... pouring water over them and hoping they get bigger, or something. However, I like the fire idea."

Blizzard chuckled, "Yeah I didn't think it'd work anyhow. But, are we in agreement on the fire idea? Calibro, whenever you're ready, start a small fire, and lead the Dijin away from there. Rest of us, when they get all crazy, we pick them off like apples from a tree!"
