Blizzard was still shooting ice at the siren. He was in a mode of straight-up combat until he heard Ticktock speak. It seemed liked staying calm was the best course of action in this case.

 

Ice took a deep breath, "Wooo. Ticktock's right. Stay focused, stay alive, guys. Let's all keep cool, alright?"

"Alright," Caramel said, a little frustratedly to Ticktock, "Then how do we..." she breathed, calming herself. "How do we beat it?" she asked, straight-faced. "It doesn't seem to care if we attack it physically. Ticktock, you know the most about magic. Do you know how to defeat dark magic? Sweet Celestia, do you know how to defeat dark magic?" she asked Dark hopefully.

Ticktock and Dark both began pacing up and down the room occasionally looking at the siren. After a while Ticktock spoke "Well in theory if we were to stay calm it would weaken the siren allowing us to attack..." Dark then continues "But sirens are still formidable creatures that are not easy to defeat however..." Ticktock then continues "We could trap it, It is just the matter of finding were to trap it and the power to trap it. So once we find a place to trap it..." Dark then continues " Ticktock and Caliber can use their magic to trap it in there this works by Ticktock creating a shield around the siren while Caliber focuses his magic into the orb then once that step is done Ticktock can use a spell to trap the siren where ever we want. You do know an imprisonment spell don't you?" Ticktock chuckled "Dark I am one of the most powerful unicorns in Equestria plus I have had you stuck in my head so yes I do know and imprisonment spell."

As Ticktock and Dark finished there planing Siren smailed and said "You two must be relly smart to talk about plan to trap my,in front of my." Siren stil smailed but did not move or done annything,his job was onli to slow down our heroes,and not to kill them.

Ticktock and Dark chuckled then Ticktock spoke "And while that was our plan to trap you our other plan was to lure you into a false sense of confidence at which point you would reveal your purpose and only a fool would have fell for that which is why I guess you fell for it."

Blizzard was amazed. He didn't think that Dark would actually be of assistance to them. Whatever. He couldn't worry about Dark right now, since they had an objective to complete, "Well, Mr. Siren, that's what happens when you try to mess with a smart dude. What can you do?"

Tyra watched carefully as Dark began a verbal debate with the Siren. She'd heard Ticktock's theory that the Siren fed on anger and hatred, and it made sense. Her attacks, fuelled by pure range and contempt for the creature, had no effect on it.

 

She and Blizzard decided to stand back, and allow Dark to take over for the time being.

caliber was watching, after his first attack didnt work out, and was listening to dark and ticktock. 

 

"iv never cast a shield spell once in my life." he said, "but im sure i could figure it out...you did say you needed my magic, too, right?"

 

he didnt trust dark one bit, but...it would seem the others trusted him. at least, for now...

Dark raised and eyebrow at Caliber "Well it is true we need your magic but we don't need you to do a shield spell that Ticktock will do but that wont matter if we don't find an object to trap him in... soooo does anypony have a tough durable item we could trap the siren in."

Blizzard had to think for a moment. He evventually got an idea on how they could restrain the siren, "Hey Dark, what if I put an ice shield around it to keep it enclosed so that it can't escape? Maybe if I do that, then we can continue with our plan from there?"

Dark thought for a minuet before answering Blizzard "Well it might work but the ice would have to he harder than... than... than a really hard thing plus even that may not be enough imprisonment magic is powerful ancient stuff there is only a 50/40 chance of it working."

Blizzard open his mouth to say something, but decided against it, and thought for a moment, "Hm...how do we hold this thing down and keep it from getting away from us."

 

"Well, I'm thinking. I mean, what else could we use to hold this guy? I could try with my ice, but it'd take me a bit longer, and require more energy."

Tyra listened in to the group's conversation, and raised a hoof to make a suggestion.

 

"Perhaps there is something outside we can use to build a trap?" She muttered, in a hushed voice so the Siren would not hear her, "like a cage of some kind?"

 

She smirked determinedly. "I would be happy to be the one to lure it there!"

Dark face palmed "I blame myself. What I meant by trap was and object we can seal the siren in whether that is a stick, a rock or even a bloody flower all I need is a shield to stop the siren escaping not a stupid cage made of twigs and sticks although that's what I would expect from ponies like... you."

Tyra scowled at Dark, not appreciating the evil spirit's comment toward her idea.

 

She took a step forward, getting up into the dark pony's face.

"Watch your tongue, demon," she growled warningly, narrowing her eyes, "I will not hesitate to end you if you are not careful."

 

She smirked darkly. "Do not forget, you have been bested by a Shatterhoof before."

Dark turned into smoke and made a kind of smoke tornado around Tyra "Ha i would like to see you try. You Shatterhoof's are pathetic, head strong, idiots although I must admit that axe does bring back memories oh if I knew that I was going to meet the weakest Shatterhoof in the bloodline then I would have put some more effort into killing Helvard."

Tyra snarled as the black smoke swirled around her, and scowled as the voice of Dark taunted her from all angles.

"If we are so pathetic, how did one of my kin best you a thousand years ago?" She growled.

 

"I am no weakling!" She snapped, stomping her hoof on the ground, "You have no idea what I and the others have gone through in this journey! I would be glad to show you just how far I have come, though!"

Dark chuckled "You do know my dear, Helvard was just one of the ponies who defeated me and to be honest he was one of the worst personally the griffions were more pescy than your ancestor."

 

Dark snapped back at Tyra "You really are stupid arent you? i live well lived in Ticktock's head i saw everything you all went through i only missed a few of the starting chapters." Dark then muttered to him self "Oh i do so love breaking the forth wall."

Blizzard sighed. He was getting tired of dealing with dark and his bullcrap, but at the same time, he knew that they had to work with him or else they would get nowhere, "Ahem. Guys, can we stop the arguing and stay focused. Dark, Tyra, have you guys got any ideas yet?"

Tyra put on a dung-eating smirk as Dark proceeded to talk more trash to her.

"If you favoured my ancestor the least of his allies," She retorted, "Then he must have been doing his job correctly!"

 

"I do not care what you have and have not seen," She barked back, baring her teeth, "For that matter, I do not care much for you at all!"

 

She overheard Ice's comment for a plan. "Well I had one, but apparently it is not good enough for the supposed leader of our group!" She spat, glaring daggers at Dark.

Dark smirked back "Well he was doing his jobb correctly i'll give he that he was a first class idiot that deserved to die and not have tarnished the Shatterhoof clan's name just like you are doing."

 

Then he heard what Tyra said to Blizzard "Well it is'nt my fault you are all idiots infact the only pony with half a brain here is Ticktock. All of you killed many inocent lives that is even worse than me."

caliber narrowed his eyes. he had been listening to everything, and he was simply trying to figure out how to solve the problem. "stop arguing, everyone. we have something to do."

 

he unbuckled his sword sheath from his chest, and held it up. "you said you needed a durable item to trap the siren in, correct? will a sheath work? its durable, like you said. its even hollow, if that helps."

The smoke surounding Tyra shifted over to Caliber before turning back into Dark who preceded he grab the sheath and inspect it with his magic "Yes this should do nicely. Tha... Than... Thank You"

 

Meanwhile Ticktock's jaw had dropped at the site of Dark using magic then Ticktock began thinking to himself "Oh no this is not good he can already use levitation this is not good at all."

"You know nothing of my clan, demon!" Tyra yelled, snarling and snorting out her nostrils in rage, "Hold your tongue, before I have my axe cut it out!"

 

She watched as the black mist dissipated from around her, and saw that Dark approved of Caliber's idea.

She huffed and glanced aside. "Cages are solid..." She mumbled. Blizzard came over and offered a small lick to her master's cheek in attempt to cheer her up a bit.

Seeing Tyra's anger Ticktock went over to her "Dont worry he gets like that... a lot, he has a god complex. Also chear up think of it this way you have spent barely two hours with him where as i have had to live with him in my head for four years now. And as for why the cage wouldnt work the reason is that it isnt as simple as trapping it in a place it cant escape but a matter making sure it can never escape that is why we trap it inside an object just like Dark was trapped in a crystal but if it makes you feel any better we can still use the cage to make sure the siren doesnt escape the spell."
