I think when gen 4 ends, their will be a major spike in fan created work due to the lack of more mlp episodes for possibly a long time sadly.... One wants to keep it as it is, one wants to have a a full blown magical girl series, one wants to make it edgy and bloody and one wants to turn it into a clopping series. Personally, SFS's animation style to me is decent, but I've seen better. As far as pony animation goes, Duo Cartoonist is on top, and their style already went from a better quality version of the show to pretty much their own style. What Silly Filly Studios does has one set of fans, but videos done by JanAnimations has another set. The thing is that the writers at DHX are a small bunch, are doing this as a job, and have higher-ups to answer to from Hasbro. The fans, outside of their everyday responsibilities, don't have that. As such we're a bigger group, have a varying set of ideas, and, more than likely, wouldn't agree on how to proceed. AlbaTross 1,586 April 20, 2015 Share April 20, 2015 I wonder if certain Bronies even actually enjoy the show the fandom is built around. xD Many of them have their own personal vision of what the show should be; you aren't going to find two Bronies with precisely the same vision. Considering how much in-fighting and disagreement and tiresome cries of "OOC" there already are, things would go real sour real quick. I don't care about Gen 5; I'm invested in FIM, specifically. Let Bronies have their super dark and edgy Gen 5 where all of the ponies have mysterious and tragic back stories. Let them take something refreshingly different and transform it into some derivative, dime-a-dozen, soul-crushing, (optionally) post-apocalyptic drama that just happens to involve ponies. Sounds like that would make for a much improved follow-up to Pony Tales. That's a slice of life soap for pre-teens that just happens to have ponies in it. The funniest thing about it is, the characters don't need to be ponies...at all, but they are and it doesn't mean a thing. Seriously, that series would work just as well if the characters were of any number of other anthropomorphic species. They could even be humans. In all due seriousness though, I don't think the fans would be able to do as well if they were given the reins of FiM. The show we have is written well enough that Bronies exist in the first place, and if we let fans run the show, we'll most likely get the TV series equivalent of that scene from Castle Sweet Castle, where all sorts of fans will add in what they would like to see, but without any foresight as to how it will all come together. I think we're best off allowing Hasbro and DHX's castle be Hasbro and DHX's castle, so to speak, and continuing to appreciate it for what it's worth. Plonkett 345 April 26, 2015 Author Share April 26, 2015 If bronies ended up writing The Cutie Map, it could end like this: When Starlight Glimmer is being cornered near the end of the episode, Sugar Belle gives her an epic "reason you suck" speech and mentions things like the town's fillies spending their lives having equal cutie marks. Suddenly, Starlight Glimmer blasts her with magic and all that's left of her is dust. The other three of the town's ponies then charge at her in anger, but as they got close, Starlight lifted them up with her magic and slammed them into a rock all, incapacitating them. Then Twilight Sparkle would activate her rage shift mode (watch Feeling Pinkie Keen) and start blasting the shit out of Starlight, screaming at her why she would do this. CinnamonPop 3,354 April 27, 2015 Share April 27, 2015 If we had a select amount of bronies, who had a lot of talent in Roleplay (Eloquence is one). Then it wouldn't be that bad. I would enjoy if some of our OCs would make it on the famous TV show. It's just... I think the stress of the people selected would have a hard time coming with the right references in time for the new episode due within the next week. Perhaps some of them could make a short worth 3-5 minutes, but that's all I can see. I'm kinda upset that some would assume that if bronies had control of the TV show, then it would be terrible.
