The sound of an explosion in the distance distracted them, and a fiery object landed right in front of them, literally screaming through the sky.

The object was revealed to be the same strange pony from the night before. He got up and brushed himself off, seemingly not noticing his tail was on fire.

"okay, so, mule empire, NOT friendly."

He turned around to see the astonished faces looking at him.

"oh, hello! Small world, eh?"

Noticing his flaming tail, the Doctor proceeded to put it out, looking in pain at the now shortened hair. " yeah, I just came across them. They are less than two days of walking from here."

Alpha noticed the explosion in the distance. "What!" Alpha yelled, "They're that close! we don't have enough men! we need to get everypony together." He piched up a stick and slammed it on a metal gong, a way to call out all of the fort's soldiers. "Oh, I hope I have clearance to do that!"

"Can I test on you? You seem have multiple personalities. I mean I dealt with robots with such a disorder but not ponies.Also, why are we carrying melee weapons... when they have artillery. I mean your general must be the worst if he gave you a sword and told your division to go off and attack the army. We live in the damn 15th century. WE HAVE APPLES. "Really? Apples?" Asked the Doctor, a bit surprised.

"I don't think you can hurt them much."

He walked around the campus, looking at the various ponies who were exiting the tents.

"You definetly don't have enough ponies, and you don't have a chance unless you upgrade your equipment."

That said, he turned around, a stern look on his face.

"Listen. I'm an... inventor. Yes, that sounds plausible. I can help you survive this attack but on one condition: No killing. Understood?"

He ignored the strange colt and stretched out a hoof.

"Right" He said, quickly turning around and walking around the campus.

"We need sand, steel, a pot, water, some wires, a bunch of magnets, aaand muffins. I get hungry when I work."

He stopped right in front of a pole that stood in the middle of the camp.

"Place it all here while I go get some things."

That said, he quickly ran back towards the TARDIS.

He jumped in, a noise of rustling and clanging metal, before a trimphant "Ah-HA!" and the return to the campus.

The earth pony had two saddlebags containing various gizmos, including a tv remote. He arrived at the pole, and looked around.

"Well? Where's the stuff?"

"Inventor? This is great. But I don't see how muffins can help your appetite."

Secretly Scopes was very exited that there were a pony that seemed to have a sense of direction, the lack of structure in the Equestrian Military is just appalling. Even so he couldn't shake the feeling that something odd was afoot.

How could I not know this pony Scopes thought I've been to every single scientific convention since I've lived in Equestria and I have never heard of this pony before, and suddenly he just appears and says he has the answer to the war.

Nevertheless the pony army did need ungraded equipment and moon dust is very hard to come by right now. They needed all the help they can get. I'll cooperate for now thought Scopes.

"Well, if you want, I could get you some cupcakes. In my opinion only the lowliest of the low get muffins and everypony at the Canterlot Great Minds Associations are all united in that cupcakes are the way to go."

"I'll have you know, my most faithful assistant eats muffins. Now, don't forget the butter!"

Soldiers around the camp started gathering the materials needed, and the strange stallion rubbed his hooves together.

"Excellent." He said, and pointed at Flow.

"You there! Hold this."

He extracted a plastic container from his saddlebag, and threw it at her.

"Whatever you do, don't let it drop."
