Non-Pony OCs

Just wanted to invite those who also have made non-pony OCs to come here and tell us why they choose it. There are some famous ones such as Dr Wolf (Wolf), Silver Quill (Hippogrif, i hope i spelled that right), and Tyandaga (Deer). But i would like to hear from some less known ones

Now, I choose a centaur mostly because I feel like im not a full fan of MLP. The show itself isnt what interests me (in fact i only watch the episodes out of curiosity, they dont truly interest me). its the world, the universe of it. It feels like a living, breathing world, and I really enjoy the creative fan works that explore this world. So, i choose something that has half fan(human) and half show (pony), which together is a centaur. I hope that made sense.

Well, I have a group of five OCs; four of which are ponies. However the fifth was a VERY recent addition, and she's a deer named Autumn.

But yeah, the reason I went for a deer was because I was in love with their design and the role they played in one of the recent arcs of the MLP comic series. In the end I thought it would give me some nice storyline and possible RPs to play it.

Is OC online character? What do you do? Collect the pictures somehow? I would probably go for Futurama characters, My Life as a Teenage Robot characters, and Videogame characters, the Matrix(including a made up neo that takes the classified purple pill), Limitless NZT dude, as well as pony characters. I wouldn't want to just have pony characters. Where do you add the pictures to "collect" them.

OC = Original Character

Also known as Fancharacters, they're character that fans of something make that exist in the same world as whatever they're a fan of.

 

I actually haven't gotten to draw them yet, but my pony character works at a circus and many of the other employees are non-ponies. I'll definitely share them when I get them designed.

I have a sheep because I really like sheep. Plus, her design's a lot simpler to draw than a pony's (easy to accessorize too). It takes like 2 minutes tops to draw her and I think that's great.

Well that still means the show. That world would not exist at all if the show didn't flesh it out so well.
