TheMisterManGuy 344 May 12, 2015 Share May 12, 2015 Several western cartoons these days take ques from anime and have a charming ending song to go along with their background credits, Adventure Time, Steven Universe, and Star vs. The Forces of Evil are some examples. Meanwhile Friendship is Magic, has a generic black & white credits screen with an instrumental version of the main theme (which isn't really that great TBH). So does the show need an anime style ending credits?
aoEAF2FBvC0MIo2Q 3,676 May 12, 2015 Share May 12, 2015 IMO: Nah. Last thing I would want is for the show to end up being shorter because of it. There's only so much you can cram into 22 minutes and every minute is precious for pacing or conveying plot. Well, if it's a song that's going to fit into the short window of time of the end credits, well... I'm not sure if I'll care either way.
The Awesome One 1,315 May 12, 2015 Share May 12, 2015 This is just my opinion but I actually like the end credit's song. I'd rather they make the opening intro and end credit's even smaller so that we can have MOAR ponies.

Sidral Mundet 1,666 May 12, 2015 Share May 12, 2015 Personally I like the end credits. They're minimalistic, and because of it I feel they are a bit more mature. Most shows outside of animation don't have elaborate end credits and I'm kind of glad MLP doesn't either. 1 Logic is the beginning of wisdom, not the end. The Awesome One 1,315 May 12, 2015 Share May 12, 2015 I'd rather they work on making good episodes with great animation instead of changing up their closing song.
Pastel 7,630 May 13, 2015 Share May 13, 2015 The current one is very simple, which is good. I don't see how they could improve it.
chirox the pony 1,336 May 13, 2015 Share May 13, 2015 Wouldn't be much point seeing that most people just skip the credits, why make a song that no one's gonna listen to? 1 No matter how hard I try these ponies will simply never leave me.
AlbaTross 1,586 May 13, 2015 Share May 13, 2015 I think the end credits are fine, and so is the intro. I don't thin, they're the best songs ever made, but they serve their purpose, and the show has used them for five seasons now, so I'm not sure how I would feel about changing either of them. Of course, the Italian intro is just plain epic. I don't think I've heard that version of the end credits, but I do think if either the intro or end credit song are to be changed, I'd want it to be somewhere in the ballpark of the Italian intro. That One Pone 584 May 13, 2015 Share May 13, 2015 I think it'd it be worth mentioning that most (if not all) DHX productions have the same style of credits. SilverComet 170 May 24, 2015 Share May 24, 2015 (edited) The credits for the show are very important ; they should be more complete, adding the animation and post-production team names. A good idea of how it should have being done [at least for the end of season 3: "Magical Mystery Cure"]; is the short [57 seconds] ending dedicated to the DHX staff: Ponies the Anthology III - (MLP "Panty & Stocking" Credits) youtu.be/obQBQDasS14 Edited May 24, 2015 by SilverComet
