Positively Pinkie 109 May 14, 2015 Share May 14, 2015 So have you ever rewatched an episode after a while and picked up on things that you failed to notice when you first watched it? A short while ago, I noticed that Pinkie chose her welcome wagon as a means to skip Ponyville in Pinkie Pride. It's probably one of the saddest scenes that I found in the show. Now, of course the wagon has wheels and we know it's kind of Pinkie. But the thought of her using the very wagon she welcomes ponies and other animals with into Ponyville as a means to escape the town, where she feels welcome no more. It can't be a coincidence. I really regret not picking up on this earlier.
Admiral Regulus 2,769 May 14, 2015 Share May 14, 2015 Wow. That's a nice find. Pinkie Pride was already a remarkable episode, but this makes it all the more feelsy. Tumblr
The Awesome One 1,315 May 14, 2015 Share May 14, 2015 Maybe she intended to use that wagon in whatever town she planned to move to, make ponies happy elsewhere because at that point, she felt like Ponyville did not want her but she still wanted to do the thing she loved. Positively Pinkie 109 May 15, 2015 Author Share May 15, 2015 but she still wanted to do the thing she loved. I would be curious about that. In her song she was about to put away her party life and came back to make her last stand in the goof off. Honestly, I think she would have just called quits on it and probably moved back in with her parents at the rock farm. But now I'm just speculating. I doubt if she had actually moved back with her family, it would have been enough from ever being Pinkie Pie again. She would have started doing what she was meant too do soon enough again. Maybe not in Ponyville though..
CC_Maud_Pie 6,431 May 17, 2015 Share May 17, 2015 For the first time I watched the episode "Maud Pie", I didn't think about how unique Maud was. But when I rewatched it, Maud's uniqueness blew my horn off. All my life needed was a sense of someplace to go. I don't believe that one should devote his life to morbid self-attention. I believe that someone should become a person like other people.
Gearbox10mm 794 May 17, 2015 Share May 17, 2015 That's one of the reasons why I love this show. No matter how many times you watch an episode there is always something new to discover.
Kyralina 97 May 17, 2015 Share May 17, 2015 Oh like that time I discovered in Twilight's memory about her foal sitter Cadence using her magic to fix a lover's quarrel. I never noticed it before tbh.
