...Which I'll add to now that summer has kicked in, and I'm (finally) recovering properly from college finals.

 

I had an art dump topic at some point... but I kinda lost track of it, and would prefer to let it die rather than reformat everything to something less needlessly complicated (I had different stages to the drawings and links that never worked like I wanted them to). Just as well, I'd rather start a new head of steam up as soon as possible, and push myself with empty space that I feel needs to be filled.

 

So yeah. Starting off this this quick OC piece.

 

 

To be honest, I'm really glad I started my "Ask Camilla" topic, as the practice helped speed the creation of this up a good bit. Still took about an hour to do, but all things considered, it went by faster than normal. Just opened up a 500x500 canvas and went at it.

I love how the mane turns from black to purple at the ends . That spike collar is also quite adorable

It's your shading that makes them pop for me, with both of those and the OC. But the detail works with the new bat pony. It's 'busy', but it works well for her.

@@SpiderDiscord, not currently, sorry to say. I've kinda worked myself into thinking I need high-quality stuff for my dA, and between that and the fact I'm not on dA much at the moment (hoping to fix that!), I haven't really put much there lately.   Was thinking about how I wanted to put these on there though.

@@JonasDarkmane, haha, well thank you for your kind words.   I dunno, I probably need to relax a little on the quality level I'm setting for myself, and just post random bits instead of just larger works (which largely don't occur very often, hence my dA being pretty vacant).

Well, if it is starting to pressure you, you should take a little time off and then get back to it when you feel like it

@@SpiderDiscord, poooint. Though I dunno, I guess I just feel a little wierd flooding my dA with a bunch of colored sketches.  Though it's becoming tempting with how little I update my dA. Figure something is better than nothing.

I understand you there  :grin2:. I just recently got away from school and am now enjoying my time off  . 

 

Hey, it's ok to flood your dA with sketches . That just means there is more to see and you can hit the favorite button more often
