@@Midnight_Aurora,

The pegasus, once they were a little ways out of town, no longer could keep up his transformation. He transformed into a changeling, but somehow looked just as weak and elderly as his pony transformation had. He gave a sigh of relief, and, after a moment, responded, smiling at her in an odd, changeling way.

"I could recognize you in any form from the sound of your voice and the way your eyes look at things," he said, his weak voice bursting with fondness.

"I.. I haven't eaten in a very long time." He admitted after a moment. "But, that doesn't matter. I came to warn you, and to give you something." He tapped at his bag. He coughed slightly again.

"Listen, Chry-- Amore... Amore. Times have changed. The changelings overthrew Queen Chrysalis. Your mother is dead." He let the words hang in the air for a moment. "Your sister-- we both knew she would, didn't we?-- your sister overthrew the Queen. She took over the hive-mind. She's using the changeling's outrage..." he stopped. He shook his head. He started over. "You know the changelings have been getting more and more agitated regarding he late Queen Chrysalis. They felt she was not doing her job in protecting our kind. Pupa harnessed their rage, and she killed Chrysalis herself. Now the situation is dire. She's gone through every changeling's mind, and any changeling in favor of peace she has killed. Hence why I am on the run. Pupa wants to suck all the love out of every race and then destroy it. She feels that is the only way to ensure permanent peace upon the world. She's... she's gone insane."

He lowered his head and lifted it back up to Amore. "Amore, we've got to stop her," he said in his soft voice, "ponies don't deserve to die. Changelings don't deserve to die, either. You can restore peace. I know you can."

Amorè drops her form. From what he can tell she hasn't fed properly in a few months. "I knew. I, however, can't stop her right now. I am almost as weak as a hatchling. I can barely maintain my guise around ponies. I almost have the keys for my first evolution. I am only missing love of family now. If Pupa wants a war with me then it will be a queen's challenge. I will take the throne from her. But I need the love of family to do it. I need all three directed loves to achieve the impossible. I will achieve the final evolution of our kind and break free from this hunger."

Amorè holds him. He can tell even her pony half love's him like her father. It is the first time he has felt Directed love towards him. He feels he can feed on it because of her pony half. "You need to feed. Take some of my love for you...father."

@@Midnight_Aurora,

The changeling smiled at her sadly. He nuzzled her cheek briefly before separating, sighing. "Don't worry about me, Amore. I'm going to go as soon as I can. I need to get away from you, me being here is endangering you. Our kin is chasing me." He pulled his bag off his shoulder. "That isn't the only reason I came, however. Here is something that your mother got into her possession from your father... she wished me to give you a message, as well." He opened the bag.

"Queen Chrysalis wished me to tell you that she was wrong. That she had been wrong for a long time. She wished me to tell you that you must make the changelings understand that peace can be achieved, that we don't have to be monsters that every pony thinks we are. She wished me to tell you that you are the only one that can change changeling-kind-- but that you can't do it alone."

He pulled a small object out of the bag.

It was a six-pointed, pinkish star. It was glowing. A faint magical energy came from it.

"As her final words, she wished me to tell you that, despite the fact that she had eaten love all her life, and literally lived off love, she never understood what love was when she thought of you. She truly felt a mother's love for you in that moment, Amore." He smiled slightly, reminiscing.  "If that isn't the love a family can give, I don't know what is. She put a piece of her soul into this, Amore. She wanted you to feed a little bit off it-- it contains the last energy she ever had-- the energy of love."

He pushed the gem towards her, eying it a little hungrily, but turning away. "Your father originally possessed that gem. Queen Chrysalis took it when Tyrek killed him." he stared vaguely into the distance. "I'm not sure exactly what it is. Maybe you'll find out, eventually." He turned fully away from her, standing up, slowly, and smiled at her for the last time. "Good-bye, Amore."

She held the item. She says in a sad voice, "If I find you and you pass. I will give you a proper burial. One befitting a changeling to be remembered."

She didn't know how to access it or what he ment by Chrysalis giving her a mother's love. But she felt power from the gem none the less. Dhe places the gem in her bag. She turns back to town and reclaims her Amorè perfect shapshift.

She looks around for the others and hopes to find them in one place.

@all others

((One of the group can bump into her. She will look different. Full of color unlike her previous state. As for what she gains from the item, yall can deside that. Also if she gains enough love energy to evolve, she will stall it. She wants to the group to learn about what her kind are.))

Alex didn't want to stay in one place while all the other ponies were off doing their own little things. However, she wasn't quite sure where to go or what to do. So, with an awkward excuse to leave Lunar behind, she went off to wander aimlessly around the different shops and other buildings... She wasn't quite sure what to do or get... Strider mentioned restocking on supplies... Well, the only thing she was really low on was food... Though Tyra said she was going to do that wasn't she?

The canine groaned. What was she going to do!? "Just... Just keep wandering..." She muttered to herself. "You... Ya just need a spark of inspiration... Or somethin'... Yeah! Just keep looking..."

Alex was so focused on wondering what she was going to do, she wasn't really paying attention to where she was going. Ponies had to evade her left and right, giving her looks or even yelling at her, but she payed them no mind.

However, when she felt a sudden shift in weight in her satchel, the diamond dog immediately turned to the bandit trying to steal the contents of her bag. She snarled at them angrily, causing them to back off. Placing a paw over her bag, Alex looked through her bag real quick to make sure nothing was stolen. She didn't have much in there to begin with, but still, better to be safe than sorry. Finding none of her things were taken, she continued on her aimless venture, this time, keeping a closer eye out on anypony who may attempt to snag something from her again.

Suddenly an earth pony tapped against her back. She turned growling, just in case it was another bandit, what with encounter only moments ago. He had a grey coat and a black hooded cape on, she couldn't see many other details aside from that.

"Easy there lil pup." The pony cooed, holding up a hoof. "I'm only here for business... I noticed that you seem to be a bit far from home, aren't you?"

Alex raised a brow. "Yeah, so?"

"Well, you're a diamond dog, and normally diamond dogs stay up in the mountains where all the gems are. Correct?"

"Yes. That's the typical thing... Gems tend to appeal their interest along with most other shiny things..."

"As I thought. So! I'm going to go forward and assume you have the same opinion on gems?"

"...Sure, but I don't see why—"

"Wonderful! See, I have a few gems on me myself. But, with most ponies here focused on supplies, nourishment, and the occasional pick pocket, my business in the gem selling aspect isn't the best. And if you wouldn't mind looking at my wears, maybe we could make a trade?"

"Hmm..." Alex thought the offer over a moment, she'd never really seen anypony try to sell or trade gems before. And she had a few she could possibly trade for better ones... Though that depended on what this pony had... "Let me see whatcha got first?" She replied.

"Excellent!" Holding up a part of his hood out to the side, there were several pockets that seemed to have a variety of different gems and such categorized by color and transparency. Alex's eyes lit up a bit in excitement as she sat down in front of the stallion to get a better look. She tried to reach out and inspect one of them a bit closer, but the pony held his hoof in front of her to stop her.

"My apologize, but if you want to hold it, you must pay me first. You can't be sure around these parts, seeing as somepony could simply run off with it. You understand, don't you?"

"Oh! Right. Yeah... I guess that makes sense..." She replied with a nod. "What are you looking for in return for it?" She asked. "I don't really have any bits, but I've got a few gems I can trade."

Alex puts a paw into her vest's breast pocket before pulling out the few gems she still had, not noticing that in doing so, her actions revealed the gem upon her bow tie.

The stallion looked over the gems a moment, but had a look of disinterest, having found a different gem in mind. "These are nice..." The pony stated. "But that one you have around your neck seems a lot more... valuable~"

The diamond dog placed a hand over the gem on her neck, a bit hesitant of the man's offer. "Y-you want... this one... Erm... I-I can't really do that um..." She glance around a moment, trying to think of something else. "W-what if I gave you all the gems besides that one...?" She asked, uncertainly.

The conpony pretended to think it over for a moment before shrugging. "Sure, that seems fair enough and it'll make both of us happy." Alex sighed a bit in relief. The earth pony held out a hoof to take the gems from her. "Gems please?" He requested.

Chrysteel was tracking the hearts of her friends and found Alex talking to a heart with dark intent in it.

She walks over to them and says, "Hey Alex. What ya up too?"

She looks to the pony with an anylizing eye and asks, "I would also ask the same of you."

Amorè was a bright rose pink in coat color. Her features portrayed a very healthy young mare. What is seen of her Mane and tail is well tended to. She gives him a grin not yet revealing her flangs but just enough to send him a message. The message would be, 'I can see your intentions.'

She then gives a ginuine smile to Alex.

Alex can smell the strong scent of a magical gem on Amorè. But it is Amorè's hightened demeanor that would also catch her.

The older stallion snorted in disgust. He seemed totally exhausted and exasperated.

"Fine. Fine, one hundred bits," he snapped. "Fork it over, now."

Tyra smirked, rather smugly, and tossed a hundred bits onto the counter, exchanging them for the fish.

"My thanks, friends! I shall savour it well!"

She turned to Red, and offered her a respectful bow of the head.

"Again, my most heartfelt thanks to you, my friend. I am in your debt for your assistance."

Radiant caught the sight of the mare looking at him out of the corner of his eye, as he turned to her he saw she needed. It seemed she couldn't even lift her limbs let alone speak at the moment. He felt sorry for the mare, if he himself ever felt that weak he'd be very upset with himself.

Radiant nodded to her and looked over the menu, which most of the menu sounded damn near inedible. They menu had items ranging from polverized wheat paste to antelope steak, most likely to accommodate the griffins in the area. Strider was right however on the fact they had hay fries and a grass sandwich that was rather over priced.

Radiant looked up to the waitress. "I'll take two glasses of water, two orders of hay fries and a grass sandwich." He requested folding uo his menu as well as the mare's that he sat beside.

Radiant had noticed her signalling it seemed, and ordered acceptably as a result. She'd still have to move the food from the plate to her mouth, and she didn't know if they had straws for the water. She definitely didn't want to be fed like a newborn in front of all these people. It was already embarresing enough as it was. With the food ordered, she slumped back down with her head resting on the table. Her hooded eyes looked up at Radiant, examining him. He reminded her of a story she'd been told once, about her distant ancestor, the original Sungazer.

He was supposed to have been a figure of legendary proportions, standing head and shoulders over other ponies, only standing below the Sun Queen hereself. He had stood beside her as well, wielding great magicks to ward off the demons of the darkness. Where the one named Shining Armor had been the shield, he was supposed to have been the avenging sword. Of course, all of this was but legend. The story had been one private to her community, the one she'd been born to before it had burned to the ground. So she doubted anypony else would have heard of it. As well, it had likely been retold so many times, that by the time she heard it, it was nothing but fiction. At this point, she was not sure if there had been a real Sungazer at all. Whether there had been an actual pony who had fathered the name.

Radiant was tall. But she was tall as well, for a mare. And he was well proportioned. She couldn't comment on such for herself. Certainly her body had been toned by years of hardship, to the point where not a single ounce of extra fat remained on her. The recent trouble had only further emaciated her. She was sure that her ribs were poking out in a disgusting fashion. Ugh. She didn't think about any of this normally. But now her brain wouldn't shut up. She considered herself a quick study, but suddenly there were so many new ponies and places and names and personalities and concepts which she'd never had a mother to teach her about and... it was exhausting. What she wanted most in the world was for there to be somepony, anypony, to sit with her, to explain and soothe all that bothered her. But she had nopony. To those who could see emotions, it would look like a black hole, swirling around inside of her and feeding on itself to try and push out into the real world.

With a nod of her head the waitress left to two at the table to go retrieve their order. Radiant looked to the mare who had set her head on the table and looked up at him, it was strange but in her eyes he could sense a feeling of what one may call panic but it's wasn't quite that. He could tell from looking at her she wasn't use to being around so many ponies and the fact that she had been through a lot to reach them.

He looked back in front of him thinking over the past few days, they had definitely been peculiar what with meeting so many different ponies. As he thought back to amore he remembered his trying to let go of his past, as he did he ran his hoof along his scarf soon returning it to resting on the surface of the table.

Soon after a short wait the waitress returned with their order. As it was set out on the table Radiant handed over the appropriate amount of caps, roughly thirty caps including the overpriced grass sandwich. Radiant looked up at the waitress just as she was turning to make her leave. "Excuse me, do you happen to have any straws?" He asked knowing well if he were in his state he'd rather starve then be seen so helpless.

The waitress nodded pulling out two straws out of the pocket of her apron. She set them kn the table and took her leave to address her other customers. Radiant took the straws and inserted one into the other to make it twice as long so the mare wouldn't have to lift her head more then needed. He dropped the straw into the glass and slid the fries, sandwich and water to her. Radisnt also lowered the straw to her so she may drink.

Alex and the conpony turned to look at the the mare that approached them. The diamond dog smiled at her, "Hey Amoré! I was just walking’ around a bit and this stallion came over to me and asked if I wanted to do a little gem trading."

The earth pony’s confidence seemed to waver a bit from the look Amoré gave him, but tried his best to recover it, but wasn't really too successful. "Uh, yes. A-and we... we had just come to an agreement. S-soo..." He waved his held out hoof again, gesturing for the gems to be handed over.

The canine looked back at the merchant and closed her hand around the gems, "Hold on a moment." She said, turning towards the mare again.

Her nose quickly picked up the scent of the gem inside Amoré’s bag, but she also noticed the mare's coat seems to be a much brighter, rosy pink and Amoré herself seemed to be much more chipper than she had been earlier this morning. "You seem a little different..." She stated, deciding to talk about that part first. "Brighter... I like it! You do something with your coat, or take a cheerfulness pill or somethin'?" She chuckled a bit, obviously not being serious about the pill thing.

She smile and says, "Also I got a bite to eat and this is what happens when I get a bite to eat."

She watched as the waitress arrived, dumped their food on the table, and promptly went to move off. She also watched as Radiant made her give them something approximating proper service. Of course, she wouldn't know what that was. She'd lived in the woods her entire life, but even she knew that the waitress wasn't doing her job as she ought to. Then again, most of the denizens who at in a place like this were so gruff, that by comparison the waitress was treating them with great care. Even so, the situation irritated her.

But then Radiant manuevered her food toward her so that she could eat and drink on her own. It still irritated her, that she had to be helped. She was grateful certainly, even if she couldn't really show it. Still, her inability to do things on her own was continuing to grate on her nerves. Maybe she would feel better once she'd eaten. Probably would be a good idea to replace that fish in her stomach as well. She could already feel tell-tale rumbling. The water was cool, if not exactly cold, and refreshing. As might be expected of a small middle-of-nowhere town, it tasted vaguely wrong. Probably drawn from a local well, which would be full of minerals. She thought she could detect a hint of sulfur.

As far as she was concerned, the food was adequate. It was overly greasy. Might as well have been called grease with hay fry garnishment. The local clientel probably prefered it that way. They looked like a group that would draw blades if their food wasn't slathered and slick, with the unusual and unidentifiable black crispy bits that seemed to get everywhere. So it sat like a lead weight in her stomache, as she managed to weakly scoot her head over enough to scarf it don. Maybe it looked undignified, but despite the food she'd been given earlier she was almost ravenous. She had to be careful not to eat too much too fast. Throwing up right now would definitely hurt, a lot.

After pacing herself, she eventually finished her food and laid her head down on the table. Her eyes were hooded still, but it was more from exhaustion than to block out the sun or to look mysterious. She looked back at Radiant. He seemed to be eating as well. That was good. She'd have felt guilty if he'd been charged all those caps for just -her- food. Still. It was an exorbinant price. She'd never lived in society, but from what little she knew, 30 bits ought to have been able to buy enough food for a week, not one meal. Even considering the regular profit margin and the costs of importing supplies all the way out here, it was still way too much. It made her mad... mad... mad... She finally crashed, her head slumping over on the table, eyes full shut.

Strider trotted into the tavern at this point, glancing around for Radiant and The Mare. He quickly spotted them sitting at a booth and made a note to go over to them as soon as he had ordered. He went to the counter.

"You can sit down, and we'll take your order," the waiter-pony told him curtly, her lip curling slightly in a menacing fashion that told him plainly not to mess with her.

"...of course," Strider said, deciding he ought to follow her order. "I'll be joining those ponies, over there," he said, gesturing at Radiant and The Mare. He began trotting over to them, easily ignoring the ponies staring at him, his traveling cloak, and his broken horn. He pushed out a chair next to Radiant and promptly sat down, ignoring the mutterings among the local ponies.

"It's odd," Strider said, conversationally, perhaps just loud enough for ponies seated at other tables to hear him. "I thought I remembered hearing about this town as one of the few respectable pony towns remaining, who were always friendly to strangers." While this wasn't true at all, it did seem to have some effect on the other ponies, and the amount of staring was lessened. "So, what looks good on the menu?" he asked mildly, watching The Mare finish her food. Well, she has strength enough for that, he thought.

He blinked when she apparently fainted. Well, never mind, he sighed. He stood up and walked over to her, gently trying to roll her head to the side so she could breathe better. When the waiter-pony came over to him, he thoughtlessly ordered hay fries. "What do you think? She looks like she could use a good night's sleep, but she can get that on the road, too. Should we stay here the night, or continue traveling?" he asked Radiant.

Radiant sat at the table and watched as the mare was able to consume her food on her own, it was refreshing to see her be able to do that since he really didn't want to demean the mare by hoof feeding her like a new born. He himself begun digging into his food, after his first bite he reared his head back smacking his lips out of slight disgust. He could taste next to nothing but grease, even preferred hid trail rations compared to this slop which his was tempted to pull one out but decided against it.

Radiant continued eating when the mare had already finished her food. He was surprised she could eat at such a rate in her current condition, but if it helped her recover he wasn't one to judge. He took a drink from his glass and had to force it down his throat, it has incredibly heavy and had an almost metallic taste to it.

Soon the mare was passed out beside him and following that Strider finally rejoined them. Strider sat down at the table and began conversing with Radiant. "Probably just a hoax to lure in unsuspecting ponies for an easy loot." He said following his words with a sip of water that he had to force down again. "Honestly and i'd hatw to say it but most the food and water here is not worth it... I prefer my usual diet of trail rations and river water."

The gem pony gazed at the gem in amazement as well. However, when the mare suddenly requested that he take out his gems to display to them, he suddenly got even more hesitant. These two clearly had keen eyes for gems and would spot his fakes out in an instant. "Ah-ha yes. H-how silly of me. But uh... Heh, you know what? Now that I think about it, I don’t think my gems are at their best, pristine shine at the moment to display. Maybe I’ll run to you a little later ya?" Hopefully not... Awkwardly, he excused himself and slunk away.

Alex raised a brow slightly, finding his excuse and exit weird, not to mention she could tell Amoré hadn't seemed to fond of him either. "Well... That was... something..." She said, placing her gems back inside her breast pocket. "Aaaanyways.." She turned back to the mare. "Can I have a closer looksie at your gem, please?" She asked, her tail wagging in excitedly.

I dunno what I'd do if I lost all those gems for a phoney one. I've never encountered anyone who tried giving me fake gems before. "Can I have a bite of that fish when you eat it? If you don't mind," Red asked, politely, "I've never tried fish before."

Tyra grinned widely, and followed Red out of the store. She still wanted some mead, but she decided it best to quit while she was ahead.

Upon hearing Red's request, she beamed, practically like the sun above the mares' heads, and nodded with much enthusiasm.

"But of course!" She near-squeaked, nearly hopping off the ground, "I will prepare it using my uncle Ogmund's method! Do you suppose there are berries or perhaps honey around here?"

Red paled slightly. Whatever this special method was, it couldn't be good. She was already regretting her decision... But seeing Tyra's expression, there was no way she could back out now.

"I doubt we'll find honey or berries about, as it is a desert," Red said, a little sarcastically. "But we could try and go back into that store. Didn't you also want... Mead?" Red barely stopped a smile.

"Ah, aye, of course," Tyra nodded, sounding a bit sheepish, "I just thought to ask, since that shop had fish."

"Ah, yes!" She answered, her wide goofy grin returning, "It is the drink of choice back home! Though I do not wish to drink the whole bottle I have now."

She produced a peculiar bottle from her bag, nearly full of liquid. It was likely Red had never seen it before.

"My aunt Olfina makes a special mead that only we have at home, and she made me this, so that I have another piece of home, as well as my axe, tunic and fish. You are welcome to try some, if you wish!"

Red stared at the mead. Somehow, it looked dangerous. "I'm good," she said, hastily, "I believe that trying the fish will be enough adventure." Her mouth curled into a small smile, which was ironic as she felt that each passing secong she was getting closer to her grave.

"Very well," Tyra grinned, returning the bottle to her bag, and looked to Red. She wished to learn more about her, while the two were walking together. The sooner they ere better acquainted, the better.

"Please, tell me about yourself," She requested, sounding genuinely interested, "Tell me the tale of Red!"

Red laughed. This pony was really brightening her spirits in her funny outlandish ways.

"There's not much to tell that I haven't already told. I intend to defeat Tirek and find my parents." Her smile faded slightly. The topic of changelings had popped into her head, but she didn't bring it up.

"I would much rather hear about you," she said, almost cheerful. "What stories do you have to offer? Tell me of your homeland."

As Radiant sat at his booth he decided he should finally get the mare to a bed so she may rest. He slid himself out of the booth and looked to strider, "I'm going to get her a room so she may rest, not sure what I will do after that." He said as he stretched his neck.

Radiant took hold of the mare's garb the ran over her shoulder in his mouth and gently tugged her toward the edge of the booth. He was being careful as to not wake her since she had finally fallen asleep and sleep was something this mare desperately needed. As the mare was teetering at the edge of the booth Radiant hoisted her onto his back and made his way to the counter. Many of the ponies were still staring at him as he passed by, he didn't care too much but it struck the question in him as to why they were. He reached the counter where a stallion was standing with a foreleg on the counter just leaning against it. He wore a scowl on his face and made no attempt to hide his displeasure of a pony approaching him.

"Can I get a room please?" Radiant requested keeping his attention on the stallion before him.

The stallion leaned in closer to Radiant, his scowl deepening. "We don't like your kind here..." He growled and spit toward Radiant.

Radiant avoided the spit that flew toward him and raised a brow. "And what do you mean... my kind?" He ask genuinely curious about the comment.

"You tidy types, come in here as if you are better then every pony. Looking down on the rest of us because you were born lucky, I see a lot of your types wander into this town... they never last long." He growled as he shifted his tongue behind his upper lip.

"I can assure you I am in no way looking down on you... and you think I'm born lucky? How about you watch your family slain by changelings and have to crawl out from under their corpses as a child... maybe then you can speak to me on even ground." He said not wanting to waste time with confrontation. "Now again, I'd like to request a room I have the caps."

The tender's smug look instantly changed when Radiant's expression went from Stoic to dead serious. He gulped hoping the swords on the stallion's back wouldn't be drawn as he reached for a key hanging on the wall behind him. "Fine, forget I said anything. Room four and that's fifty caps." He said suddenly changing his attitude.

Radiant handed over the caps and took the key from the stallion. "Thank you..." He said walking from the counter. "By the way, just because one chooses to be proper doesn't make them weak."

Radiant round the corner and walked down the hallway, each floor board creaked under the combined weight of him and the mare draped lifelessly over his back. The two eventually came across room four, he opened the door and let himself inside. As he entered he saw it was a rather barren room, it had little in it accept for the necessity items a room should have. A bed that had seen better days was lined askew against the wall with a night stand at the foot of it. across from the bed was door that led into a small bathroom, it definitely was not a place Radiant would call home but it would do. Using his magic he carefully removed the mare from his back and set her on the bed. As she was on the bed he slowly left the room keeping the key with him so he may check up on her later. Radiant shut the door making sure to lock it behind him and made his way out of the tavern.

Once in the streets he looked around not sure what to do, he would leave strider to eat on his own for now. Perhaps he should go try to talk to red see if he can help her, or perhaps he should talk more to Amore about finding friendship.

I've been getting more into writing fanfics, mainly MLP since it has such a deep pool of creativity to pull from.

I'm good with character and story concepts, so if you need help with a fanfic or something feel free to Private message me

But don't be hurt if I have to decline if I'm tapped out for a bit. Otherwise I'm fairly good at it just sometimes I have to let my mind subconsciously think of some ideas.
