Flim and Flam come to town. What does the mayor do: nothing.

Rarity is ravaging the city making changes. What does the mayor do: tell Twilight.

That's it! That's all she does. Even in Winter Wrap Up she didn't have much of a part. It's not like it's hard when most of the problems are too big for her to worry about.

For my next good point: how to solve the redemption crisis. So many villains are being reformed that there's barely any left.

My solution (my conspiracy theory, my baby idea that could easily become a fanfiction): Make GlimGlam's reform a fake. What if she's been faking the whole friendship thing in order to gain the trust of the most powerful ponies in Equestria and learn their secrets. Now that she knows everything about them, she can team up with Trixie and take away the princess's cutie marks. We already know she can take alicorn cutie marks, and we know alicorn cutie marks are the source of an alicorn's magic. Without them, the princesses wouldn't be able to stop her. And with Twilight's mark gone, the elements of harmony wouldn't even be enough to beat her.
