I accidentally discovered the show on YouTube with my bestfriend... and out of curiosity I decided to look it up and watch it for myself...

 

2) How long have you been a Brony?

 

I joined in Fall of 2012

 

3) What do you most like about the show My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic?

 

I'm not sure what is it that made me like the show.... but I'd have to say their character models... that or their humor.... plus I'm a sucker for 4th wall breakers

 

4) Who is your favorite character on the show and why?

 

call me a narcissist if you want but its my own OC.... but characters from the main show I favor is Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Discord, and Scootaloo

 

5) What do you most love about being a Brony?

 

It gives me that feeling of innocents that I had to throw away at such a young age... not to mention I like the fact knowing their are others who like this

 

6) Do you interact with other Bronies, if so where/how?

 

I'm friends with a few Bronies including my Bestfriend.... I have at least 15 Brony friends I know in real life and I'm unsure how many Brony friends I have online.... all I know is a lot

 

7) Do you create things based off of the show, such as art, videos, music, etc.?

 

As a matter of fact I do.... I base draw ponies... and write fan fics about my OC

 

8) Have you ever experienced people putting you down because you are a Brony?

 

only on the internet people apart of ABB tend to insult me.... but fail.... most of the time I turn the tables on them.... as for the real world no one insults me for what I like.... and if they do I just do the same thing I do over the internet and turn the tables....

 

9) Has being a Brony taught you something about life or people?

 

Its taught me quite a bit.... I never would of learned several things about myself if not for the show.... the life lessons in the show were things I already knew.... and as for people its shown me a bit, but not much

 

10) What is one thing you wish the world knew about Bronies?

 

I wish the world knew about our struggle... how we constantly get harassed and in result causes many of us to take our own lives.... and sometimes have our lives taken away from us

1) How did you become a Brony?

- In Summer 2012 by running into a MLP related T-Shirt at the mall while hanging out with a friend. I asked him what that shirt was about and he explained to me what bronies were. I didn't know anything about the show or fandom either at the time. I was further creeped out about finding what bronies were then. Later that night I did some research out of pure boredom and decided to watch an episode for the laughs.... to my surprise I ended up loving the first episode. Ironic huh? About a week later watched the first season and joined these forums.

 

2) How long have you been a Brony?

- Since July 2012 

 

3) What do you most like about the show My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic?

- The storyline, great animation, humor, lovable characters and the quality of the cartoon itself deems it just a great as the old cartoons I used to watch when I was younger.

 

4) Who is your favorite character on the show and why?

- Pinkie Pie simply because of her joyful, sweet, and selfless nature about her. She's the kind of friend I would love to have and a great example of how to be a great friend to others. 

 

5) What do you most love about being a Brony?

- These forums and that the community is so open, easy going and accepting. 

 

6) Do you interact with other Bronies, if so where/how?

- Only on these forums for all this time because I have never met a local brony or any of my friends don't like this show either. I went to a local state meetup about 2 years ago and that was really fun. But I have yet to meet any local friends or such who like this show.

 

7) Do you create things based off of the show, such as art, videos, music, etc.?

- I got into making forum signatures but that is about it. I really want to get better at drawing at some point in time because I'd like to be able to draw certain characters too.

 

8) Have you ever experienced people putting you down because you are a Brony?

- Certainly have from being called weird and strange. But I keep it to myself that I like the show and I rarely wear shirts or merch out in public. If I had some local friends who also liked the show perhaps I'd wear shirts more often but I tend to not wear anything related to the show if I'm just out on my own.

 

9) Has being a Brony taught you something about life or people?

- To be more open minded towards things and accepting. To give things a chance before making silly claims before knowing anything about it.

 

10) What is one thing you wish the world knew about Bronies?

- That people who enjoy this show are not crazy weirdos... It's just something we enjoy just like with anyone else that loves another show or etc.

Here we go;

 

1) I was on youtube browsing through the comments of a random video and lo and behold there was a brony... And a another one. And another one and so on and so on. So I just went "Ah fuck it let's see what all the hype is about" and then I watched the first episode. And then the second because if it's a two-parter I have to see both episodes. And then the third for good measure. Aaaaaaaaaand I was hooked

About a year earlier somebody living on the bottom floor of my house about my age showed me PFUDOR. I constantly annoyed the hell out of my mom with that song >

 

2) Closing in on a year now 3 1/2 months away. It's been a fun ride, and probably will stay as such as long as the fandom stays active.

 

3) The characters. They have both their strengths and flaws, and are most of the time balanced. There has been lots of character development. Sure, they missed a few chances, but there are some traits and bonds with other characters that will stick with them forever.

 

4) Fluttershy. I can relate a lot to her traits Shyness? Check. Loves animals? Check. Deadly in dire situations? Check. I can relate to a lot of the problems she's faced with. Also, she's muddabuckin adorable!

 

5) Being a part of the connected community. Through these forums alone you're able to voice your opinion, make polls, find strategies, keep people up to date on your life, let people know how you're feeling, share your amazing artwork, etc. Most other forums if you dare say your opinion your head will get blown off and ripped to shreds

 

6) The internet is my only connection to other bronies. Even though I keep a very watchful eye while walking through the mall with my dad or walking down the street with my mom, I have not found anyone. There is a clothes store in the mall that always has at least one pony shirt on display out front though. And EB games has funko vinyls for sale (For some odd reason.)

 

7) I would try making a short animation in SFM. But valve still hasn't ported it to mac.

 

8) Nope. Probably because absolutely nobody knows.

 

9) Yes. That this world is harsh and cruel. But a little bit of kindness can go a long way. It has taught some ways to be a better person.

 

10) That nobody is that 50 year old guy living in his basement who jerks off to pony porn 24/7. That's just sick. And even sicker that people think that's what every brony in existence is like that.

1) How did you become a Brony? I noticed a lot of people like the show and decided to watch it. I watched generation 1 when I was young, so I was familiar with it. 

 

2) How long have you been a Brony? Since January of 2014. So about a year and a half. 

 

3) What do you most like about the show My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic? I like how each character's design reflects on their personality. I also like how the characters are three dimensional and realistic. 

 

4) Who is your favorite character on the show and why? Rarity is my favorite. When I see her, I can't help but smile. She is beautiful, friendly, generous, a stereotype breaker, and all around amazing. 

 

5) What do you most love about being a Brony? I love watching blind reactions and talking about My Little Pony to other bronies. 

 

6) Do you interact with other Bronies, if so where/how? I only talk to bronies online. 

 

7) Do you create things based off of the show, such as art, videos, music, etc.? I create fan art, OCs, and fanfiction.

9) Has being a Brony taught you something about life or people? Yes. It taught me to be myself even when no one approves. Thanks to MLP, my confidence and self esteem boosted. 

 

10) What is one thing you wish the world knew about Bronies? Being a brony has nothing to do with equinephilia, homosexuality, or any of that sort. A brony is someone who really likes Friendship is Magic. There are bronies who clop, there are gay bronies, there are autistic bronies, etc. but those don't define bronies as a whole. (Also, being gay and autistic isn't bad...)  (There are a lot of things I want to put here, but you said one.)

I got curious when I began to spot pony avatars and images popping up more frequently around the Internet.

Since mid 2011.

 

3) What do you most like about the show My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic?

I love the designs of the world and characters.

 

4) Who is your favorite character on the show and why?

Zecora. She's such an interesting character and I'd love to see more of her.

 

5) What do you most love about being a Brony?

The community. More specifically the community on this forum. Most people here are very accepting and friendly.

 

6) Do you interact with other Bronies, if so where/how?

I have several irl friends who are bronies, and I do occasionally chat to others on the Internet and the forum.

 

7) Do you create things based off of the show, such as art, videos, music, etc.?

I have drawn quite a bit of fanart over the years.

 

8) Have you ever experienced people putting you down because you are a Brony?

Nope. Everyone who knows, and that's not many, don't really care.

 

9) Has being a Brony taught you something about life or people?

Not really. It's just a nice show to watch in my downtime.

 

10) What is one thing you wish the world knew about Bronies?

Don't group us all up into one huge stereotype. People who fit the stereotypical 'Brony' are out there but  it doesn't define me or a lot of other people in the fandom.
