technical issue MLP Forum Fonts?

I've used a certain font on my "about me" page and "signature" for the text and it perfectly shows up on my computer but when I asked other users about it they said that it's the default font and not the one I'm using.

 

What fonts can I use on this forum and would show up on all devices?

You can only use the following fonts on the forums:

 

• Arial
• Comic Sans MS
• Courier New
• Georgia
• Lucida Sans Unicode
• Tahoma
• Time New Roman
• Trebuchet MS
• Verdana

Any and all external fonts do not work.

 

On another note, I think the main Equestria font may work here. I'll check in a moment.

 

Edit: OK, I checked. It's installed into the HTML aspects of the site so it works there, but you can't use it in BBCode areas.

It depends what people downloaded themselves. If you're using font that's not common it's bound to cause issues because fonts are client content, and it's difficult for them to see unless if they download said font.

Oh boy! Web typography is more complicated than that. There are mixes of CDN's, font downloaded by the viewer , and device configuration (user controlled or otherwise). This is why when a site is designed, you will declare a default font style, and several backups. If one cannot be displayed it moves to the next one. That is what is likely happening to your friend.
