I'll bump this.

 

I have played Pokémon showdown off and on, mostly in UU, but sometimes in NU. In gen 6, I got to 1300 ELO and only played for a couple of weeks   In gen 7 I am at about 1100 as of now, and have gotten every bit of that ELO from running a composition made only of walls and tanks

Well I'm not actually a player, as much as I would really like to. I'm just way too nervous to battle totally random people in a one-on-one situation, especially in a ranked playlist.

So I just watch Pokeaim play instead. ^^

Not really doing it anymore. The cheese strategies I'm seeing are really frustrating. You can never seem to predict when somebody will suddenly Belly Drum and SWEEP YOUR ENTIRE TEAM. I saw a freaking Furret of all things in NU running Belly Drum, and it one shot EVERYTHING. I never saw anything like this in Gen 6...

I used to play on Pokemon Showdown a few years ago. I wasn't the best at Pokemon battles, but Showdown was a lot of fun. I don't go on Showdown nowadays, but I watch other YouTube channels from time to time, who play Showdown.
