Welcome to the official MLPForums Nu Metal thread, ripped off from based on Crispy's metal thread.

 

This is the perfect place to post nu metal tracks that you love and maybe even learn about some bands you've never heard of.

 

Don't know what nu metal is? I'll tell you then. It is a metal subgenre that mixes heavy metal with other genres, including rap and alternative. Sound crazy? Thought so.

 

The genre itself was pioneered by the band Korn, whose first album came out in 1994.

 

Here's some examples of nu metal. Make sure to dread those locks and don a pair of JNCOs, because the ride begins now.

Nu-metal is an incredibly underappreciated and far too mocked genre. There's a ton of great nu-metal content out there.

This is Head from Korn's side project that he worked on while he was away from Korn. Head's influence is really evident in this band.
