Awilix smailed at Celestia as she finished talking,she did not care about Celestia gratitude towrred her,but her godess gratitude was something diferent,if she got thet from her-she could even become priestes in her tribe.And with thet thought in her head she tok amulet and onces again put it on her neck.After thet sge turned around to her team mates,and started "Are we ready to go?"

Helvard put a hoof over his heart and nodded to Bjorg as she made her leave for her homeland. "Safe travels to you, friend," He called to her.

 

He looked over his team, particularly the two newcomers, and nodded to them. "Aye, it would seem we are set to depart. Unless anypony requires anything beforehoof?"

Cresenco shook his head. "Nah i'm good" Said Crescendo and sat down on the cold marble floor. He took off his blue tuxedo. "Could you please hold this for me Celestia? I don't want it to break" asked Crescendo. He then looked towards the pony who asked wether or not they were ready. "What's your name by the way?" Asked Crescendo

Celestia shook her head at Crescendo "I am afraid that i can't. It will probably be safer with you given the sudden turn of events. But anyway i think you should head off no Oblivion has got a bit of a head start on us and the longer when wait the closer he gets to being able to take over Equestria."

Helvard put a hoof over his heart and nodded to Bjorg as she made her leave for her homeland. "Safe travels to you, friend," He called to her.

"Quite", said Aria in response to Helvard's inquiry. "It should take naught but a moment; I must retrieve my instrument from the forge, lest you find yourselves unnecessarily burdened by my presence. It should be properly imbued by now." Aria started trotting out the door, but paused as she realized how absurd it might seem for one to need an instrument in such dark times. Feeling the need to clarify, she addressed Helvard again, "Us musicians have our own ways of manipulating the magic inherent in nature, you see. As woven as it is between the energy of living things, so too do we weave it into our melodies so that it may be properly focused." 

 

And with that rather enigmatic explanation, she set off downstairs where, she hoped, her lute might lie in wait, longing to be reunited with her as much as she to it after these past few melancholic weeks. And by my touch it shall again bring that joy without which I have so sorrowfully gone. And for it to be played by mine own delicate touch, and not the uncouth handling of those magicians who understand naught of its delicacy, I am sure it will be grateful. The longing pulled more powerfully upon her with every step she took, until she found herself sprinting down stairs, through hallways, and across thresholds. At last by the light of fire, propped upon an armchair of velvet, it caught her eye, that part of herself with which she so regretfully parted.

 

As gently as though she were drawing a lover closer to herself, she removed the lute from its resting place. The warmth that emanated between the two felt comforting, and more than anything else in the world at that moment, she wanted to collapse into the chair and play. To play for hours on end would be such a release that those hours would stretch into days; into weeks; perhaps even months or years. Oh what sweet sorrow that at our meeting we have to wait longer still. If I had only but a moment...but no. Darkness waits for no man, and I would sooner meet these terrors head on with you in hand than idly let them destroy us.

 

And so Aria reluctantly let the moment pass, securing the lute upon her back, and wandered back to the chamber in which the rest of the party awaited.

Awilix wached as Aria replayed to Helvard and thinked 'Looks like she will be relly anoying.' but yet she needed more people thet would help her live true this,and so she had to try and make friend with as many ponys as she could.And so as Aria comed back,Awilix mader her way to Aria and said with warm voice "My name is Awilix,what is yours friend?"

"Hm, I see," Helvard nodded, in response to Aria's request, "Very well, retrieve your instrument. We will be waiting here for you."

 

When the mare departed, he turned and noticed Awilix's troubled expression fixed to the door. Obviously she was thinking the same thing about the newcomer as he had been.

"I do not care much for her attitude," He mentioned to the smaller mare, "but she will no doubt be invaluable to our cause, otherwise Celestia would not have sent for her. And I believe, in time, she will come to trust us, and we her."

 

When Aria returned, he took a moment to admire the lute she had brought with her. He gave a nod of admiration.

"Aye, 'tis a fine lute you have there," He complimented, giving her the smallest smile, "Music is a valued virtue we hold onto back home."

Seeing that the guy wasn't interested in answering his question. Crescendo decided to go in the back and train some martial arts. Mainly to warm up. He moved his hooves in various coordinated strikes, parrying, distrubting defense until he like a cobra lashed out with a strike with speed that didn't suit a giant like him. While performing these various warm ups Crescendo thought about the ponies he has met.

Helvard, noticing Crescendo had asked him a question, turned to smile at him. He put a hoof to his heart and bowed his head.

"You must not have heard me the first time, friend," He chuckled, and then reiterated, "I am Helvard Shatterhoof, of the Frozen North."

Being accused  of bringing doom to all pony kind was not something a messenger pony had to go through everyday, on top of which facing a power more evil then nightmare moon. The strain of the day was too much for the simple mail colt and he freeze into panic and shock. As things began to calm down he slowly came too. "Holy banana splits! I'm innocent I tell ya!... oh um what happened?..." he looked around feeling incredibly awkward.

 

(OCC. I'm so sorry guys for disappearing like that. This computer I'm stuck on isn't very good and won't load the everfree roleplay page. So if this post is totally out of whack, and in the future if Crash is mentioned could you either quote or mention me? Once again so sorry guys)

She gave the mare called Awilix an appraising look before responding curtly, "Aria Rosewood". She hoped that giving her full name would maintain what semblance of a barrier she still kept herself behind. At Helvard's words, however, she could not keep a small glint from twinkling in her eyes. That this pony would also have ties to and understand the beauty of music was something she had not considered. But the glint was gone as quickly as it had passed as an internal struggle began within Aria. 

 

-Ask.

 

And subject myself to the torture of speech? I believe that violates my rights as a citizen of Equestria. Namely, the prohibition of cruel and unusual punishment.

 

-You know you cannot help yourself around such a topic.

 

Yet here I stand; helping myself.

 

-If you shan't speak of it, I will.

"Do you play? Music?" she asked of Helvard.

 

Helvard smiled at the mare, who had revealed her name to be Aria, noticing how she had perked up from his comment.

"I can see music is greatly important to you," He deduced, adding a small lighthearted chuckle, "A good attitude for a bard to have."

 

He pointed a hoof to himself and shook his head. "Nay, I do not exactly play music. However, I know many a song from my homeland, and I have been told that I am a good singer."

Crescendo looked towards Helvard and Aria who were talking about music. One of his favorite subjects. He decided to approach them, hoping that it wouldn't come off weird. "I play the piano, was also the piano player in canterlots jr orchestra" Said Crescendo "Which is one of the reasons i have my name"

After Awilix heard Aria full name,she thinked for a moment and then contineu with quait and warm voice "What a lovely name you got there Aria Rosewood..." And as she was saying this she seen Aria lute,and thinked about her question to Helvard.'Maybie she likes music,maybie I can make friends with her tru some sort of must complement.' and with this taught in her head Awilix contineued with same-un changed voice "...Just saying your name out loud makes air in this room dance in harmony."

After a pause of consideration, Aria proceeded haltingly, "I would...like to hear this sometime. These songs." In the midst of her half-nod to Helvard, and preparing to address Crescendo, she heard the most peculiar phrase that seemed to send an icy chill down her spine.

 

"...just saying your name out loud makes the air in this room dance with harmony."

 

What...? But that's...that's a compliment, and dressed in such resplendence. What compels them to say such things?

 

As Aria's confusion began building, her composure began slipping. Such warmth as this was unprecedented. She would not let her thoughts be ruled by emotion; it was unbecoming of her. To trust so easily, she was taught, was never wise. Retreating within herself, she resumed that air of indifference that so oft rested upon her countenance.

 

"Thank you, but such pleasantries are ill-timed. We have more important matters to which we must attend."

Aurai had stayed quiet after Bjorg had left their side. Her shyness had returned once again, now that the one she felt close with, had to departure.She was very saddened and became a little distracted with her own thoughts. When she finally snapped out of her busy mind, she saw two new ponies had joined them. They seemed to be talking about musical instruments and all sorts of other things. With a soft voice, Aurai tried to stop their conversation. "Uhm... I don't wanna bother you or anything but isn't it a good idea to get moving... I mean... just a suggestion. Oh wait never mind..." Aurai started walking, hoping the others would soon follow.

She waited for nopony, instead taking action into her own talons when no one deigned to pay her any attention; one Aria could respectfully follow. She gave a small nod to the group with which she had been conversing.

 

"If you will excuse me..."

 

And without waiting for their replies, she promptly trotted off, falling in line with the pace of the griffon. She did not bother addressing her, but merely existed beside her, hoping that she did not prove a distraction.

"Aye, Aurai is correct," He agreed, "We have spent too much time on pleasantries. We move out now."

 

He trotted up to the mare and griffon, flanking Aurai's other side with a proud, confident stride.

She looked at her claws and her coat. She looked filthy, covered in dirt. "I need to take a bath when this is all over.. I look hideous."

As Awilix seen two ponys and one griffon moved out frst,Awilix started moving behaind them.She was moving slower then they were as she did not like to by any chance be frst in group.Awilix did not had anny smaile on out side,but in her maind she was happye,she knowed if something happened thos three will be on line of fire and thet would alowed her to get to save place much easyer.

Chapter 3: Mystery In The Everfree

 

After a number of hours the team had arived at ponyville the closest place to the Everfree Forest. Although it seemed quiet although that was probably because the moon had almost taken over the sky. They now had a chose find a place to stay in Ponyville or enter the forest at night.

Helvard walked along with the group, walking in front as they headed through Ponyville in the evening. He smiled as he fondly remembered visiting the little hamlet before, and the locals were just as intimidated by his sheer size as before. He almost chuckled as he remembered this earth pony stallion that was almost his size was giving him a fearful look!

 

Luna's moon was up high that night, and its faint light beamed down over the entrance to the Everfree Forest, just past a quaint little cottage.

 

"We can either seek out an inn in the town," He explained to the group, "or we can camp out in the forest. I personally do not mind either way." He added with a smile.

"Camp in the forest?" Aurai said with a shudder that ran all the way to her tail. "I prefer staying at an inn although whatever you all want is fine I guess." She said, bringing down her tone to her usual shyness. "Are we really kn that of a hurry to that we must sleep in the forest?"
