Ace listened to Caramel. "Walking... no ship... okay, I get it," he said a little flatly. He was a bit disappointed. He had expected to be sailing on a real pirate ship, only to discover that the ship was being kept somewhere else. "But a team walk sounds like fun too! Let's play I spy as we do!"

"Aye, I could use a good walk!" Tyra agreed, hopping in place a bit more before setting off with the crew, "TO TALL TALE!"

"I spy?" She repeated, cocking her head to Ace, "I have heard of this game. I have seen many foals play it, but I do not quite get what it means. Do we look for spies, or eyes?"

Aqua grinned. "Yay! A walk! " Aqua sing-songed somewhat sarcastically. She bit her lip before saying that she would prefer a swim. Aqua giggled to herself, holding her right hoof to her mouth.

 

"These legs probably need to get used to me more than I have to get used to them." She chuckled.

 

Aqua trotted up next to Tyra and smiled.

"Allow me to demonstrate," said Ace. "I spy with my little eye... something beginning with... T!"

 

He held up a sockpuppet on his hoof. "Is it... tower?" he said in a silly high pitched voice and moved the sockpuppet so that it looked like the puppet was speaking.

 

"Nope," said Ace, going back to his proper voice.

 

"Tyra?" he made the sockpuppet "say".

 

"Keep guessing!" said Ace, using his regular voice.

 

"Tree?" he made the puppet "say".

 

"Absolutely right!" said Ace in his normal voice.

 

He grinned at Tyra. "Get it now?"

"I'm sorry Rave, I should have said it more clearly. I will remember it for next time." Caramel said as she continued to walk next to him. She looked at her hoofs, her head hanging down.. sometimes I doubt if I'm still a good captain... I can't even inform my crew properly...let a long keep them happy.... Caramel snapped out of her thoughts by the happy interaction between Ace and Tyra. She gave a small chuckle before looking at Rave again. "So have you ever climbed a mountain before? Seeing that is likely we shall climb one today." She said with a smile

Tyra blinked at Ace's little performance, but began grinning with amusement after a while.

"My thanks, little sock friend," she snickered, "I think I understand now!"

She looked up at Aqua as she walked up next to her, and gave her a wide grin.

"I do not see many seaponies in my travels," she explained, "tell me about yourself!"

Rave noticed her head go down, something that he did not see her often do, something, he used to do before he met her. "I have walked mountains many times. I believe I have even explored the mountain we are about to walk. I am an explorer, so I travel a lot. My hardest expedition was through the Crystal Mountains". He got closer to her and whispered. "Is everything ok?".

(You do realize that means walking, carrying all the stuff that got bought... so a create of metal, and a whole sail =p)

 

Well, nothing beats a good old march I say. really got to get myself to a more... active period up ahead. Lordy gathered all the stuff he could and strapped it to his back. During his early millitary years during campaigns, they sometimes had to walk for days while carrying heavy loads without rest. Over all types of terrain; marshes, hills, mountains, plains. He wasnt used to it any more... but surely, it couldnt hurt to re-live those times... now would it?

Aqua's flopped in shyness. "I see." Aqua remarked. She smiled shyly at Tyra. "It depends on what you want to hear from me." Aqua chuckled. "Well, I think you know where I was born. Aquastria." Aqua grinned.

 

"There are MANY cities and towns down there..even ancient ones that I sometimes visit." Aqua says with a wink. "Of course there are many dangers of doing that." She wrinkled her nose.

Rave looked over to Caramel, after having greeted his old friend Aqua. It was good to see her again, however, he would be keeping that a secret for some time at least. He had already promised her not to reveal her secret some time before.

 

He approached Caramel. "Yes, we will be heading West after we set sail, then we will turn South. After that, I will have to work closely with Wade, whom, if I am not mistaken, knows a fair deal about the history of Atlantis. Together, we should be able to find the lost city".

Wade walked up behind Rave and put one of his hooves around his shoulder. "Yes. Rave. You and I will be working very closely together in the times to come. I hope we can get along well with each other." He gave a smile before patting him on the back and putting some distance between them after realised that Rave was going to comfort Caramel.

 

(Damn I was slow on the post.)

Caramel shivered as Rave was suddenly a lot closer to her. "hmm...oh yeah..everything is fine..I just got lost in my thoughts for a second...old habit." Caramel said while trying to put on a smile. She kept quiet as Wade was suddenly walking next to him. She looked away, towards the mountains that were still tiny considering the distance.

Rave was a bit surprised by Wade's sudden interruption, but then didn't mind as he drew back again. 

 

He turned his head back to Caramel. "So, what are you thinking about? Been wondering about the adventure to come.... or is there something else that you might be thinking about?".

"No..I've just being thinking about stuff..unimportant boring stuff...not really that interesting actually." Caramel said looking at Rave for a second before quickly turning her head away again. For some reason, she could not look at him. She was afraid she would fall apart right there if she stared into his eyes for too long. "So what have you been up to these past few years?" She asked Rave, unintentionally trying to change the subject.

Rave was keeping eye contact with Caramel when she turned her head away from him. "Caramel...... please, what is wrong? You can tell me, nothing you ever think is unimportant or boring" he gave her a worried expression. "As for what I have been doing, I have been mostly trying to find a way to make your prison dwelling shorter or have been exploring. I know that Tyra has met with my sister, but I was not involved there. However, I just want to know if everything is not alright?".

Caramel looked behind, seeing the rest of the crew was still following them. "Alright, I admit. I'm not okay." Caramel said still not looking at him. "But maybe this is not the best place and time to talk about it." She said as she looked at the rest again, hoping Rave knew what she was talking about.

Rave thought for a while. He knew what Caramel said was right. This was not really the best place or time to be talking about it. "Alright then. I believe you are right. This matter might need a bit more privacy. Some time later then, when we have more privacy?" Rave asked.

She cocked her head. "Do you deal with such threats as sharks? Back home, we have large walruses that make swimming in some parts rather dangerous!"

"Indeed it is! There are just so many fintastic things to see!" Aqua beamed with a fascinated smile.

 

"Unfortunately those predators are a threat to us as well, it's just that we are able to fight them off and they very rarely enter any towns." She said with a crooked smile.

"Yeah...although it might be a few days before we can actually get some real privacy." Caramel said as she looked at her other crew-mates with a smile. Best not to worry about it Caramel...just calm yerself down....

 

After a walk that seemed like hours, the crew was finally walked in the mountain. Very fortunate for them, the ponies before them had left a path that was reasonable to walk on. This meaning that they did not have to climb the mountains after all. The higher and darker it got, the colder it got as well. There was a strange wind blowing through the mountains, as if it was howling. Caramel was now walking extremely close to Rave. Not just because she was cold, but because she was scared as well. Not that she was ever going to admit that of course. The group kept walking through the mountains, looking for that one cave.

Scarlett was walking not far behind Caramel next to Wade, and shouted to whoever could hear her "You know, it's really kind of ironic that to find a way to the bottom of the ocean to find Atlantis, we have to climb a very high mountain to find the way there."

Rave noticed Caramel getting closer to him. His saddle bag was relatively warm, but it was also rather light. A spell he bound to the bag, that made items in it weigh less. He took it off of him and put it on Caramel. "I think it is time for you to carry some things as well" he gave her a wink, as the real reason he was making her carry his saddlebag was to warm her up a bit.

Lordy, due to the load he was carrying was pretty much leggin behind the group. his filled bag looking like a baloon on his back with all sorts of things dangling around it. He had tied the crate to a rope and was now puling it as he as getting tired. He definetly lost the hang of it. However, even if he was tired, he HAD to not show it. He couldnt have anyone offer to carry the stuff for him. That would definetly be unpolite.

"Woh a real gentlecolt, letting yer special somepony carry two bag, Really?" Caramel said with a chuckle, shaking her head and a smile on her face. She also realized that she just called herself Rave's special somepony, causing Caramel to give a small blush.

 

Not far a head, Caramel could see a thick layer of snow laying on the road. The weird and beatiful thing was that there were still a few flowers sticking out the snow. "We're almost here. I can feel it." Caramel said to anyone who was listening.

Aqua was walking not too far behind Scarlett and Caramel. Her ears perked at what Scarlett said. Aqua bit her lip and pondered.

 

Aqua took off her satchel that she had brought along. She pulled just one shell out of her mane and dropped it inside of the satchel.

 

She smiled at what Caramel said. Aqua saw some snow and flicked her hoof in a direction towards her. Some of the snow levitated into Aqua's right hoof and she started molding it with her magic, giggling.

Scarlett had noticed Lordy dropping behind the rest of the group. She slowed down and stopped to wait for Lordy to catch up to her and said "You know, you don't have to carry everything yourself. I know you thinks it's rude or something but don't suffer when you don't have to."
