"Well, a changeling is an alicorn like creature that can take the form of other ponies. I believe they act like bugs so they also have a queen. In my time there was no queen so the changeling in my family was free. The small amount of Changeling in me allows me to change things like my colours."

"Looking like other ponies... So, like a disguise, i presume. Alicorns? Actimg like insects? I think better leave it be, cant find out everything in a couple of mere minutes, now can i?" He laughed.

"I even heard stories about ponies moving the moon. This place is very odd indeed, i must say."

"Well, I say insects. I mean more of a hive mind. As long as there is a queen all the changelings act as one body. When there is no queen, the changelings are just as alive as me or you."

 

She lifts her hoof up and changes it to a darker red "I can only do small parts at a time."

Caramel strolled through the cave, still whistling a happy tune. It was dark and as usual, she was not looking where she was going. She stopped just in time, as there was a big rift in front of her. Had she walked a bit further, she would have fallen down and probably broken her neck. "We are here!'' Caramel said excited. "Now how to get down?" Caramel mumbled as she scratched her head with her hoof.

"It's not incredible, they attacked Canterlot a few years ago. And as for how large the cave is, I think Wade would have the best luck in telling us that. What with his sonar type vision and all. I could use magic to do it, aaaand you were just saying that it was really big. Nevermind."

Tyra walked up to the edge of the rift, peering down to the bottom.

"Aye, that is a deep drop," She agreed, her voice reverberating softly in the wide space.

 

She looked to Caramel, and blinked.

"You are a pegasus," She explained quizzically, "Can you not simply fly us down there?"

Upon feeling the fear of death nearby, she looked up to see Caramel nearly fall into a rift. After Caramel had stepps back, she casted a force field over the rift and said "So, are we supposed to get down there somehow or is there something on the other side?"

 

Tyra walked up to the edge of the rift, peering down to the bottom.

"Aye, that is a deep drop," She agreed, her voice reverberating softly in the wide space.

 

She looked to Caramel, and blinked.

"You are a pegasus," She explained quizzically, "Can you not simply fly us down there?"

"I'm a unicorn, and even I know how dangerous it is to fly in caves."

"Aye, we will go down of course!" Caramel cheered and was immediately reminded by the loud echo inside the cave. "There is nothing on the other side, only a dead end. I do not know how we are going to it though. I cannot see how deep it is as it is too dark, and those sharp rocks on the side make it impossible to fly down. Solutions anyone?"

"I got rope... Basic equipment in case you would need to build a fortified position... but nothing to secure it with. and its not that long, about 7m only, not sure if it helps. "

"Oh for Luna's sake, the irony. I can secure the rope, but all the rope I had for the ship I already send home. And we're in too deep to get more rope. I could always levitate someone down if we have to go down, but if we were to do that who would it be. It's not like anyone here trusts me."

Scarlett turns round and points at her flank "This mark, is a cutie mark. And for me, that partly represents precision. As long as I don't somehow loose my back half, you will not fall. And as for how, you decide. I'm fine either way."

 

Scarlett suddenly has a brainwave "Here's an idea. What if we all stand on the magic platform stopping us from falling, and I slowly lower it down. Would that be alright Caramel?"

Tyra listened to the various suggestions on how to descend down the cliff, then as Scarlett suggested a magic platform and Lordy a rope, she raised a hoof.

 

"If it would help everypony else, perhaps I can simply climb down the cliff by myself?" She suggested, totally serious, "We do a lot of cliff and mountain climbing at home, so I am used to it!"

Scarlett sighes in exasperation and casts a spell on herself and everyone else "Here's an idea, lets just walk down it."

 

She then walks to the rift, her force field dissipates and and steps into it. At the moment of her tilting, her own gravity changes to the side of the tunnel. She shouts back up "personal gravity spell, I cast one on each of you. Just get down here fast before you drain all my magic."

Aqua also listened to the suggestions. Once Scarlett brought her idea up, Aqua perked her ear in Scarlett's directions. She then looked back at Tyra and heard her suggestion about her climbing down the cliff by herself. At first, Aqua's widened with surprise but then they unwidened as she saw that Tyra was being serious.

Lrrdy took out a pretty BIg frying pan from his bag (i guess it affected his bag too). He toughed the side of the wall... i stayed there. he closed his eyes and stepped off the ridge. BlAm he hit the wall....

"How? Nevermind"

He sits on the pan and pushes with his musket making it some kind of sleigh.

"You did say fast, didnt you?"

"That looks so FUN!" She squeaked, pattering on her hooves, "I wish to try this someday!"

She looked up at Aqua, grinning at her.

"How do you plan to get down?" She asked, curious.

Caramel facehoofed herself. "These crazy horses.." Caramel said loud enough for anypony to hear. She wanted everyone to go down save but it seemed the others thought otherwise. "I would like that gravity spell with the side of fries." She said looking over the edge at Scarlett.

Scarlett teleported back up to the top. "Status update, Lordy found the bottom quite hard, I already cast the spell on all of you so go whatever way you want down, and as for you Caramel I can get you some fries later if you so wish."

 

She then jumps down backwards down the rift.

Aqua leaned over and whispered to Caramel,"Remember what we say, echoes." Aqua then giggled and turned her attention to Tyra. "Oh I'll just use a gravity spell like Scarlett over there!" She chirped. Aqua's horn glowed and then levitated her onto the side of the tunnel. She then started walking down the side.

Rave shook his head smiling. He did not need help with this, not with descending. He used the same trick as he had down at the docks when Caramel met Wade. He shadowmorphed and glided down until he reached the bottom and then morphed back to normal. "Not trying to be showoff" he quickly proclaimed, sweating a bit.

Tyra smirked as Caramel and Aqua decided to take up Scarlett's offer on an anti-gravity spell.

"My thanks for the offer," she told the unicorn, then sneered confidently down the hill, "but I have my own idea."

 

Deciding to take a page from Lordy's book, she grabbed her axe from her back and placed it flat on the ground, then hopped onto the flats of the blades and pushed herself onto the incline, sliding down the cliff.

Lordy was half bueried in snow... not able to move and scratching his head. Then heheard a sound. The sound of metal scratching rock. It was fast... and it was coming slow...

"Oh goodness... NONONONONONO!" he yelled as he was trying to get out of the snow. He wasx right in tyras trajectory at the bottom of the cliff.
