"Well, maybe one day someone will get you to break out of that comfort zone. It's unhealthy to forgo interaction with others. Makes your mind go crazy and done some strange things."

"Try living in the wasteland for--" Scarlett says before getting cut off by Caramel. 'Fair enough' she thinks to herself. 'But then again, I probably shouldn't reveal anything to him. He is a government pony after all, who knows what a Scholar would do if they had access to my information'

'Well then, this was highly unexpected. And rather painful.' "Okay, I think you proved your point. A deal is a deal I guess. Could please let go of me now? This is quite painful. You planned for this to hurt didn't you? If I have to use magic to get you off I will." Wade was flustered and didn't really have a plan for this situation. His calm demeanour was gone and he was acting in a panic.

Scarlett laughed a little, and then a bit more "Oh would you look at that, the overconfident Scholar cant handle a little hug."

 

Scarlett let out a sound that was a bit like trying to hold a laugh in and said "Caramel, I don't think he likes your hugs." and pulls a fake sad face.

"Oh Mister whinny pants doesn't like hugs...I don't how you will fit in with this lot then.'' Caramel chuckled as she finally released him from her grasp.She looked at the night sky as she gave a yawn. "Alright, time for bed, back to the hotel.'' She said with another yawn. "Rave, yer coming with me!" Caramel said with a smirk as she grabbed him by his hoof.

Rave was thinking about how long Wade would last on the ship. There were a lot of hugs involved when one was a part of Caramel's crew. He dreaded the thought of Tyra giving Wade one of her crushing hugs. Rave was then suddenly pulled by Caramel. He was taken a bit by surprise since he had been thinking, but a smile crept up his face and he followed along. "I'm coming, I'm coming" he said chuckling.

Scarlett quickly says to Wade "I'm going to assume you have a place to stay for the night"

 

Scarlett followed Caramel and Rave and says to Rave "You good for hiding your presence to others or do you want to borrow the suit until you get back to Caramel's room?"

"What have I gotten myself into? In the name of science, history and technology I'll just have to survive it." 'And it's not that hugs aren't appreciated, that was just unexpected. And she's not the worst for hugs from what I've already seen. Luna have mercy on my soul.'

 

Wade left the docks and walked a few streets down to his home, he may not like to admit it, but working as a scholar pays really well. He spent a good hour getting his gear ready. Bolts, bullets, powder and guns. Lots of guns. Along with a few crucial supplies; Quills, ink, scrolls and others before he finally retired for the night.

Everypony went back to their room, most of them fell asleep instantly...others took a bit longer...

 

Caramel slowly opened her eyes as the sun was shining through the window on top her face. She got out of bed, looking for her scarf that was thrown some where in the room last night. She yawned as she found her scarf and put around her neck. She quietly walked out of the room, not wanting to wake Rave who seemed to be still sleeping. She walked downstairs to the reception. "My dear, do you know when the next train leaves to Vanhoover?" Caramel asked the mare behind the desk. "That will be in 47 minutes miss Caramel" she said with a small blush. "Thank you dear." Caramel said with a smile.

Tyra yawned and sat up on the bed, stretching out her limbs and sighing contently at the popping of her joints. She hopped down onto the floor and got dressed in her gear; she figured if she was going out to sea, she'd be plenty washed for days!

 

Propping her helmet on her head, she trotted out and down to the lobby, where she saw Caramel at the front desk.

"Good morning, friend!" She greeted her, obligatory hug included, "How did you sleep? I slept like a trunk!"

 

(OOC: She means 'slept like a log' )

Scarlett woke up the next morning in her house. "It's going to be a while before I'm back here" she said to herself. She then picks up her saddlebag and starts levitating all her supplies to her. Cookie rum, fancy metallic object and other weird things that nobody understands. She folds her suit, places it in her bag and then walks out her room door into the corridor of her house. "Now was it the front or back door I used as a portal..."

Caramel gave a small yawn. "Good morning my friend, I slept well last night." she said as she turned her head to Tyra. "I'm gonna go out for some breakfast at the cafe down the street, would ye care to join me?" Caramel asked with a smile on her face as she walked to the door.

Wade stood outside the hotel everyone was staying in, he wore his scholar uniform to hide the weapons he was carrying, and his hood up to somewhat hide his bandages. 'Luna have mercy.' He walked inside the hotel and noticed Caramel and another on other person with her. If his papers are correct, this was Tyra. 'Better not let them know I've been reading everything we know about then.' "Good morning to you. Guess it was stupid of me to presume that you would still be asleep at this hour. @@Unicorncob And hello to you too. Might I ask your name?"

Upon asking for her name, in her trademark fashion, she puffed out her chest with a proud smirk. "I am Tyra Shatterhoof, of the Frozen North's Shatterhoof clan!" She returned to her regular stance and tilted her head. "And you are?"

 

Not being the brightest bulb, she never pieced it together from the stranger's words that he and Caramel were acquainted.

Caramel greeted Wade with a smile while passing him. She was not gonna wait until those two were done, she was too hungry to care. She started to walk to the cafe down the street, she could already smell the fresh baked bread from where she was walking, only making her more hungry.

She looked around, "Hey Tyra! Where's Rave? Is he still in bed." She laughs slightly and continues "Do you remember the last time I had to wake some of you up? That was brilliant."

 

She turns around and sees Wade "Oh, and you're still here. Good morning, I hope you packed painkillers."

In a shady corner on the street, a pony sat down on a empty box. He was wearing a rugged black cloak with a hood. He most likely used it to shed himself from the rain as you could tell the material was starting to spoil. If you looked carefully, you coild see he was wearing some kind of bright red clothes underneath. On his left was a bag and some mind of long spear (to the regular equestrian citizen, they dont know how a musket looks like) covered by a sheet of old canvas. On his right an old but well-treated violin he tried to play to gather som money. Yet the streets were way too noisy for that. So he just sat there, with a hat on the ground that was holding about 2 bits, staring at the ground.

"Well met, Wade," Tyra greeted the scholar, bowing her head and taking the hoof in a shake, "I must ask, what do you wish of me and my captain here? I do not believe I have ever seen you before!"

 

She trotted after Caramel, expecting Wade to join them. He seemed to have an interest in them.

Wade trotted along side Tyra, not really surprised she was out of the loop considering she was not with them last night. "I see you've missed out of a few things. I should explain myself. You see, I've gotten wind of the expedition that your Captain has been planning and I offered up my services. I'll be the one who counteracts the traps and defences if the city, basically it's my job to try and keep everyone alive. Now don't fret, I'm confident in my abilities that I can almost guarantee your safety."

 

Scarlett suddenly appeared next to Caramel "Hello again!"

She looked around, "Hey Tyra! Where's Rave? Is he still in bed." She laughs slightly and continues "Do you remember the last time I had to wake some of you up? That was brilliant."

As was tradition, or at least her own, she swiftly grabbed the taller stallion in a tight hug. "Allow me to welcome you!"

"Good morning, friend!" She chirped, then gasped as she realised what she said, "Rave is here too?! We have almost everypony back together!"

Her trot turned into more of a happy bounce on her hooves for a few paces.

Caramel was almost at the cafe when she noticed a stallion sitting in black cloak and hood. Normally, she would not notice these things but something about this pony reminded her of something. She walked up to him trough the crowd until she was standing in front of him. "Do I know you from somewhere mate?" Caramel said with her thick Trottingham accent.

'What in the world was this ponies strength? This was crazy. Definitely needs more pain killers.' When he was released, he was taking deep breaths to get some air back into his body. "Next time you do that, at least warn me first." He stood back up and tried to regain some of his composure. "You're a strong mare aren't you? Unsurprising if what you said about your background is true."

 

What Scarlett had said and then decided to try and cover up made Wade very curious, just who was this mare and what did she know, and what could she do?

At first, Lordy didnt realize he was the target of the question but then he recognized the voices. He looked up a bit to see who might they be. At first he was so happy to see some familiar faces he almost jumped up, but he quickly got hold of himself and stood up in his formal manner.

"I... I must say, you have no idea what an absolute delight it is to see you... Ponies around here... They seem to have no need for ex-soldiers... Or non- magical unicorns. I had to make due. Havent had a tea in months!" He was clearly happy to see them, tho he was trying to not seem to emotional.
