Rave choked on his carrot juice, starting to cough. "My side what now? What are you implying here" he was starting to sweat a bit. "And changelings? Say what now? Just tell me what is going on here, right now. No games, no hiding, just tell me now" he looked at Scarlett.

"Great, you weren't listening last time. My timeline is gone so anything that I'm going to say may not happen. Try and guess about the 'your side' part, the changeling part is that my mother was part changeling and I don't know why I have unusually high amounts of light magic."

 

Scarlett, unwanting to run into any other questions starts to climb onto the roof while cloaking "If you need me you know where I am"

"Wasn't listening? I was... when I was around. She never explained that part to me" he said to himself as she was gone. He then looked at Caramel, who was sleeping in his lap and kept on stroking her mane with care. He decided to get some rest as well and closed his eyes.

Scarlett turns to Tyra and does the same Portal thing and brings out a small amount of slamon on a plate "Eat it quick Tyra, I don't want anypony seeing this"

 

Tyra perked up at Scarlett's...magical, thingy. She gasped as a plate of salmon emerged from it, and she practically grabbed it out of the air while Scarlett warned her to eat fast.

 

And so she did. She ravenously tore into the small steak of fish and devoured it, giving the plate a few licks before nonchalantly giving it back to Scarlett.

"Thank you, friend!" She chirped.

Scarlett lay down invisible on the roof. "I could have sworn I told Caramel and Rave about that, didn't I? Well obviously not..." she thought to herself. "This is going to get awkward. And what's with wade, he seems to be trying to get close to me."

 

But those weren't the only things on her mind. There was a secret on her mind, one that not even Caramel knew. And she planned to keep it that way.

Scarlett's tone of voice sounded a bit off to Wade. Like something was bothering her. "I'll make sure she is okay. She didn't sound very pleased about something."

 

He teleported to the roof of the train next to Scarlett and dug his claws into the roof for grip. "Hey? Are you feel alright? You seemed somewhat agitated about something back then."

"You know, from an outside perspective you look like some mad pony who is on the roof of a train talking to himself." She glanced down at his 'claws' "And isn't that damaging government property" she says while snickering a little." 

 

Scarlett was purposely trying to avoid the question, but uncloaked for reasons previously told.

"A little bit of scratching and a hole here and there is nothing that can't fix over night. And who's going to be looking on the roof of a fast moving train anyway?" Wade sat down next to Scarlett to get more comfortable. "And don't just try and avoid questions, that's very rude, you know that right? If you didn't want to answer, just say so. But I'll ask again, are you feeling okay?"

"Yes I'm fine" Scarlett snapped, before sighing and saying "Relatively speaking. I'm going to be straight with you here, I can't tell you much about me until I trust you and at the moment, I'm still working on it."

 

She smiles a little "And, uh, thanks for asking Wade."

Wade teleported back to his seat and let out a quiet sigh before doing some final modifications to his Crossbow.

Scarlett teleports down and sits next to Wade casting a small sound bubble round them "Do you want to know something? It's not that I don't trust you, it's that the others don't trust you completely. My magic type, which no one else has by the way, is mainly derived by people liking me. I believe that comes from my changeling side, but it almost literally connects me to my friends. I can feel, not their mistrust of you but their wariness of you. Does that make sense?"

"When I put some thought into it, yes that does make sense. Their wariness of me is understandable for reasons I told you. I can't expect them to trust me completely after knowing them for less than a day. It will take time. But it does please me to know that you somewhat trust me. That makes me happy. Thank you."

She turned to Wade and said "How much are you bringing with you exactly? And how are you transporting it, because I could have put it on the ship for you before we left."

Caramel gave a cute yawn while rubbing her eyes with her hoofs. She stretched  her legs when she realized she had fallen asleep on Rave's lap. She blushed and sat back up quickly. Her mane was a mess, she put her hoof through it a few times before it looked a bit better again. The train started to slow down as it was almost at Vanhoover central Station.

Scarlett pops the bubble and says to Rave "You may want to wake Caramel up, we'll be getting off very soon."

 

She turned to Wade and said "How much are you bringing with you exactly? And how are you transporting it, because I could have put it on the ship for you before we left."

"No need to concern yourself with that. I have planned a few stages ahead of time, so in terms of my possessions, everything has been sorted out. Anyway, any idea how far away we are from the city? I can't tell where we are without a landmark to give me an indication." Soon after he spoke, the train started to slow down. Indicating that they had arrived. "Never mind my question. Rave looked at Caramel as she got back up, blushing a bit as well. He started wondering about that yawn, he was going to remember that one. "Eh, sorry with your mane. Ehm.. yes... I believe we are arriving at our destination. We better get ready". He had his saddlebags with him, so he started to check in there, to make sure that everything was there. "Hmm, yes. Everything looks fine".

"Hello, sleepy friend!" Tyra squeaked, grinning over to Caramel, "How was your nap? It looked rather peaceful!"

She looked out the window, and noticed the train slowing down.

"Aye," She agreed with Rave, "We are arriving! It has been a while since I visited Vanhoover, I am most excited!"

Caramel smiled at Rave as she got out of her seat. She then turned towards Tyra who had asked her a question. "Aye, I did, sleep well." She said as she looked at Rave again. She noticed the train had stopped so she quickly made her way to the exit. She jumped out the train and on the platform. She could smell the sea as it was very close. "I missed that smell!" Caramel cheered.

Rave got out of the train after Caramel. He looked around. "Haven't been here for at least 3 years. It is a kind place. Lot's of friendly ponies around here. Not saying there are no tough ones, but they are rather friendly here. So, what now captain?" he asked her.

Well since there is no train that goes to Tall Tale, we will have to walk." Caramel said with a smile. She wasn't sure if the others were excited as her since it was a pretty long walk, but for Caramel taking a walk outside was enough. After all, she had been in a cell for 5 years. "So Rave..do you have a map that can tell us where to go?"

Rave grinned as Caramel mentioned maps. "Do I?". He put down his saddlebag and started to look into it. "Hmmmm, where is it, where is.. AHA. The map of Vanhoover". He showed it to Caramel. "I am always ready. We can use all of my maps that I have with me... including my" he leaned close to Caramel and whispered "mapping orb. But don't tell anyone about it, it is my biggest secret".

Scarlett jumped off the train and walked over to where Rave and Caramel were, just missing what Rave said. She then said to Caramel "So, why are we here again? I mean I know we're here for a good reason but why exactly are we here? And how long are we going to be here?"

Lordy slept the whole trip, the chairs were sooo much softer than the hard, cold ground he used the last weeks. He woke up slowly scratching his head and looked around. The train was empty,"oh my..." he told himself

 

Withing seconds he collected all his things and stuffed them in the bag in a hurry. Then he calmly put hi shako on and was back on the rush jumping out of the train.

Wade was quick to put away his Crossbow and out away his gauntlets and left the train along side everyone else. Taking in a large breath to fully absorb his new surroundings, he let out a contempt sigh. '7 years since I've been to this city. By Luna I've missed it. The Salt air, the busy streets, the fun times to be hand here. Feels good to be back.' Wade stood back from the group, not knowing why they came to the city in the first place, but he was going to go along with it anyway.

Tyra hopped out of the train, taking a deep whiff of the salty air.

"Aah, I have missed this smell," She chirped, hopping in place as she waited for her companions, "perhaps this town will cater more to our tastes, Caramel!"

 

She hopped onto a bench, getting a strange look from a mare sitting on one end, and leaned her forehooves on the backrest to get a look at the city before them.
