this is the first song ive ever written, o wrote it about 2 years ago...in my math class actually haha

 

Fallen Hero

 

a hero falls

dies in vein

flags draped over

never lessens the pain

what did he die for? why did he fight?

do you even know? is it worth a life?

the war rages on

the innocent die

is the reward worth the blood

the tears worth shedding?

why all the pain? its not worth the cause

we dont have to fight.

to prove eachother right

im tired of this blood shed!

tired of the fight!

im not spilling anymore blood!

not a drop tonight!

we fight for freedom! a never ending battle

something we never lost, and never had

a fallen hero lays in the mud

covered in his brothers blood.

dyin in vein

for another to reign

no use fighting it

the war rages on

innocent lives lost forever

no reason

no real cause

all for the freedom we already have

fallen heros die in vein

never to be seen again

a bloody mess

in the fields for a cause

a cause unjust

we are cloaked in shadows

shrouded in lies

told we fight for justice, fro freedom, for independence

reality

tells a different story

of thousands of souls

lost in battle, a war never won

for this freedom, independence we crave

but there is no point to rave

the outcome is always the same

a fallen hero

he dies in vein

his loved ones mourn

a flag draped over doesnt help them grieve

i wrote this with a friend of mine. so its not entirely my work but its the firsrt song we recorded as a band. it also started off as a rebellion kind of song.

Gallows

 

they cast a shadow

permanently they stand

forever in the stand

the ropes hang down

haunt our minds

lurks in our thoughts

tortures our souls

the bringer of death

constantly near

never letting go of the fear

deaths shadow slowly falls

claims his next victim for the one

the demons that cloud our brains

lust, deceit, greed, murder

draws here

to the same place

to watch them mourn

in our place

gallows!

gallows fall!

binded by blood!

the souls of innocence!

and held by chains!

a tool of death!

and a traitorous foe!

brings the worst in us all!

shows who we really are!

left to fall

the gallows hold

deaths favorite toy

to unleash fear into our souls

its amazing what happens

when one is faced with death

you see their true colors

who they really are

the cloak of mystery they once wore torn away

tossed to the side

whats left is nothing but a coward

afraid of the truth, afraid to face reality

turn now

and face the gallows

see youselves

for who oyu really are

face the truth

see the facts?

the rope that binds you will break you

neck by neck

death does his part and toys with our hearts

our emotions run rampant

the demons controlling them do as they will

with your body and soul

theres no stopping it

no slowing down

either way, i the end

we all end up

at the gallows toll. facing ourselves

regretting decisions

wishing to do something to be someone different

that feeling of regret

that remorse its who you are

who youll be remembered as

when you face the gallows toll.

 

 

this one i have yet to think of a title for but it was the last thing i wrote before my band broke up.

a reflective puddle gathers at my feet

that pool of blood gathered a my feet

begins to take shape

a mirror takes shape still dripping with my blood

or is it a window?

a valley lies inside

but is gone as soon as it has appeared

whats left is nothing but cold empiness

its dark

i can feel it lurking, waiting, plannig

ready to pounce

on my knees i beg

beg for my life

beg to be set free

to be rid of chains that hold me

i am alone not a sound to be heard

not a step

not even breath

depression sets in

sorrow unfolds

it drives me crazy

am i going insanse? am i losing my mind?

the shadows follow

they move with me

like puppets and their master

that sinister feeling falls over me again

is this the end? is it my time?
