But in the slight chance that this could be true then ... I'll be joining you all with the bi-hourly wailing of the loss of our beloved show. And then...meh. As a fan, I would be DEVASTATED. THIS SHOW HAD SOOOO MUCH TO GIVE WHY THE HELL WOULD IT END SO SOON? Hate to break it to you good folks but every great show has to end, for better or for worse. The show itself may be entertaining and has been gaining fans from different ages, I wouldn't be surprised that the staff will call it quits. Not to sound heartless but they are not going to just keep the show on for too long, unless there are still more problems or goals the Mane 6 need to accomplish. Or our lovely CMC would take their place as the main cast. We'll never know. cider float 2,538 July 30, 2015 Share July 30, 2015 (edited) One can speculate that they are fine tuning the other half of Season 5 to prepare episodes that end the series due to this hiatus but Discovery Family has said they will support a Season 6 for MLP and I don't think Hasbro has any objections as long as it gives them more toys to sell. But some people know that DHX has to work on other stuff as well. Everything ends, except some reality television shows of questionable quality, and SpongeBob, and Pokémon, those will end one day maybe. And plus, there are some shows that have a number of seasons 40 or higher, like Supernatural and stuff, so MLP might get a bit more than 40 seasons, or at least into the double digits. It's not particularly MLP stopping that scares me, though it would be kind of sad. Honestly, what scares me is the fandom dying off after the show stops. When that happens, I honestly don't know what I'd do. So much of my time is spent doing stuff related to MLP. I just hope the fandom lives long after the show stops airing, which I don't doubt it will. With all the fan-made content and such. I agree with your above statement. The fandom essence have to live on as well as the memories and everything the show have given to us over the past years. Honestly, it'd bother me. Season 5 feels way too early. Even season 6 would feel like too early of a stopping point to me. People always go on about shows lasting longer than they should and how much that sucks, but I think a show ending too early is just as bad. I'd honestly like to see at least 7 seasons, maybe even more. I think the show could pull it off well. They should keep their promises on giving a few more seasons over the years until it sadly ends, and I will give you the source of where there will be a lot more seasons to come I just forgot where it is and need to find the fans who mentioned it, and the source again. It would have ended in a very good spot, and as long as they don't fuck up the ending entirely, I'd be chill with it, and wait until Gen 5. Of course, there would be one a-hole who freaks the hell out over the show ending, probably throw a huge temper tantrum and will take their place amoung the ranks of "Things that give the mlp fandom a really bad rep". But I doubt the show will be cancelled after seaon five, (They're making money off it, so,), leaving the question of who will be the major tantrum baby of the fandom, up for speculation. But I don't see anyone fitting the description for that yet. Except maybe Chris-Chan. No male pronouns, please. All other pronouns are fine. Yeah, that the same argument I always used I mean, if these century-long to era long shows like Supernatural, Spongebob, and other funny or stupid shows can last for that long, why not MLP:FiM. Unlikeable Pony 2,698 July 31, 2015 Share July 31, 2015 One thing I have to say though, is I wouldn't really fear FIM ending if FIM ended up becoming like transformers.I don't feel bad when Transformers ends because I know that its going to bounce back in a couple years into a new show, with the characters I love and a new take on everything.Now, with FIM ending, Since MLP doesn't reboot it makes new generations, I feel anxious because there's a high chance they won't reboot and I'll just get "magical world of horses" without the things that made me love FIM (The world, its characters and the concepts) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
