technical issue Quoting in Microsoft Edge

I've noticed that the text box in general in Microsoft Edge is fairly buggy. And not to mention when you quote someone.

Typically the quote simply doesn't show up and it's the same thing with multi quoting. Another bug I have is when you click in the text box

the cursor often doesn't show up. I'm not sure if this is a problem with the browser itself (seems to be working fine elsewhere), or if the forum would have to be optimized for Microsoft Edge ?

I am currently testing in Microsoft Edge, and from 3 different tests, the Forums seemed to work fine to me.

I tested on 3 different situations, which were Quoting, Status Update, and Multiquoting:

 

 

 

 

The three worked fine for me. Maybe it was dumb luck, or maybe not, although I remember that my first uses with Microsoft Edge were a little buggy. Maybe the optimitation isn't 100% correct, and inherited some of the compatibility problems of Internet Explorer, but I would better wait for an answer of the Higher Powers, just in case.

I did a brief test of this site on Edge, and noticed the text box was acting a bit oddly. Quoting and multiquoting worked, but as you say the cursor didn't seem to show up properly without multiple clicks to try to get the box become active, or if I just started typing the first character didn't 'take'. I wasn't entirely sure that what I was seeing was a combination of Edge and my flaky internet connection at the moment.

The quoting is still an issue for me. Along with the text box not becoming active. I also seem to be having issues with the character counter now. It's not counting your characters at all. And lastly, something I just got today, when you're finally able to type in the text box, the cursor is just jumping around. E.g. if I was to write 'take' it'd write it backwards. Or sometimes in between the word, making it look all weird.

 

EDIT: The character counter didn't start counting until about 100 words in.

Even though the browser is fairly new in the wild, I'm going to consider this a bug. I moved it to Tech Support for the time being whilst we try and duplicate this. At the very least I'm bring this front and center to dev.
