gaming Sonic Dreams Collection

Quite recently, a particular game has been stirring up conversation in various forums and posting websites. 'Sonic Dreams Collection' is not an official Sega game, it does however, seem to be a silly parody game on the surface. The game does go into weird fetishes that the sonic fandom has, and has implications of 'shipping' and 'vore', but it has no real nudity or bad stuff.

However, this game has a deeper and darker side to it. Past the stupid stuff, it has a much more to offer.

Past this line has spoilers to the game.

The only interesting thing about the collection is the inclusion of the 'Collection' is the Sonic Movie Maker, and the 'My Roommate Sonic' game, the first being the obviously darker side. You go through increasingly horrible scenes, supposedly making a 'movie'. The second game puts you in the situation of a fangirl with the chance to hit it off with sonic, which ends badly. This is the main surface of the game.

Check out some of the files that the game comes with, especially the 'SEGANET' file. If you've been paying attention, and run things at the right settings, you can connect to SEGANET and play 'Eggman Origins'. If you need help, check out the spoiler below. If you're not stuck, please, continue playing blind.

When you connect, you will need a sonic character uploaded to Seganet, which you can do in the 'Make My Sonic' game by uploading a screenshot to Seganet. After uploading it, you have the ability to play 'Eggman Origins'.

In 'Eggman Origins', you play as your character created in the previous game, who gathers worms and feeds a baby Eggman who eventually grows to a massive size, only for him to eat you. After he eats you, you gain 1 ascension point. Plenty of people have crazy scores on the leaderboard. You may even see a failed attempt of some kind of meme.

This has been the pinnacle which I have been through. I know many people have been looking through ROMs and hacking the values of their ascension points, and have been receiving odd results and finding new secrets..

Also, try exploring the Sonic Movie Maker stages a bit. You may find a few hidden things. Egg people you can interact with is just a start.

Been hearing a lot about this lately and it seems like a pure attention grabbing oddity to me. It doesn't seem to serve any purpose than to potentially shock people and for it to get popular by the method. It seems...tasteless. :\

It seems...tasteless. :\

I believe that was the entire point. I've heard it described as 'DeviantArt: The Game', and the collection of a bad OC maker, bizarre fet-stuff and scarily-strange shipping material supports that hard. I think it was made to purposely cast those groups in a bad light, but not without humour.

All in all, it's the internet. Hail its glory!

  • 4 years later...

I've seen many videos on YouTube of it, but it is something I never intend on trying for myself.

At first I rejected the zero, but that was because I simply didn't understand it. Now I do.
