don't know if this the right area or not, but basically what the title say, you look at the characteristic of your OC(s), say what pony would be a good choice for them, and why. It could be companion, partner, friend, ect. For Example:

 

Feeder: Fluttershy, they're both caring and quiet

 

Ivy Winds: Applejack or Rainbow Dash, they both courageous and adventurous

 

Madness Cloud: Twilight, they both like reading and magic

 

Shadow Beast: Pinkie Pie, when a deal/promise is broken they're scary

Toasted Scone and Twilight: They're both incredibly intelligent ponies, and much like Twilight used to, Toasty lives pretty much in a library (though all of her books are about poetry)

Melon Ice and Applejack: Both worker ponies, and they even have the same amount of siblings

Pastel would mesh best with the CMC, but it would get complicated. She's basically an antithesis of the early seasons CMC and she would perplex them a lot, and definitely get them into trouble. But they would be friends in the end. Individually she'd be best matched with Applebloom; the whole "crazy adventure filly meets the homey farm filly" dynamic would be fun

Fancy Pants would be a good fit in terms of intelligence, class and individuality. Same goes for Rarity, who'd be my best friend. And then there's Essence, who just has something I can't quite define, but she'd be a great friend too I think.

Zephyr and Sunfire probably wouldn't be compatible with very many ponies, but that's mostly because they don't have romantic interests. They're twins who still live together at the age of twenty four, and all they really need to be happy is each other.

Booker would probably be compatible friendship-wise with all of the Mane 6 to varying degrees, since he has at least one thing in common with all of them. In order, it would be Rainbow, Rarity, Applejack, Pinkie, Twilight, and Fluttershy. He could also probably make friends with Trixie and Big Mac, but they probably wouldn't be too close.

Romantically, Booker would be the most compatible with Rainbow. While not complete opposites, they compliment each other pretty nicely. He loves doing fun stuff with friends if he's invited, so they'd have no shortage of things to do together. He values loyalty the most in a pony so that's good, considering her Element of Harmony. He'd also understand that she'd need space sometimes and wouldn't be too fond of PDA, which isn't a big deal to him. The biggest problems I can see is Rainbow would probably find Booker a little boring, and he'd think she's insensitive at times, but those are things that could be worked through.

Honestly, Booker could willingly start a relationship with just about anypony, providing they're not disloyal and they truly loved him. All it would take to make him fall for somepony is for them to give him a hug or something.
