Daring_Do 552 September 12, 2015 Share September 12, 2015 Destroying it was like killing off one of the main characters; one that's been around for almost one-hundred episodes, no less. Funny you should mention that.. http://www.equestriadaily.com/2014/10/the-mlp-manga-has-one-of-most.html
They call me Loyalty 1,948 September 18, 2015 Share September 18, 2015 Aesthetically, I don't think it fits ponyville, as with those damn wings! Just kidding there.Too much cold for a home, excessive empty space. Such an spacious place might make ponies feel little in comparison. It stands like a royal barrier between her and the people(ponies) I am from spanish royalty. Never liked those kind of buildings, nor the kind of people that inhabited them. It's a no no.
Justin_Case001 4,900 September 18, 2015 Share September 18, 2015 Maybe...if the ever freaking SHOW IT! I mean, it's been awhile, and I feel like we should have seen the castle more by now, but we've only seen like 5 seconds of it. The old library was a focal point and centerpiece of the show, so of course it felt like home. The castle could be home, too, but I'm still at the phase Twilight was at during the beginning of Castle, Sweet Castle--it's still this foreign, sterile thing, because we've barely seen it. I'm okay with it, but I really want to see more of it. I want a frickin slumber party episode at the castle. (In a mocking tone-->) I guess that's too "Season 1" for the show now. Pffft.
VengefulStrudel 1,495 September 18, 2015 Share September 18, 2015 I've never minded it, just as I didn't mind Twilight becoming an Alicorn. Though I agree it feels rather...distant, so to say? I've rarely seen it, and I forget about its existence when it's off-screen. In the library, on the other hand, there was a lot going on. Parties, lessons, studying, problem-solving, and whatnot, it felt a lot more homey. Now, the characters rarely ever are in the Castle. I guess it's kinda to be expected, since Season 5's premise was "a big adventure all over Equestria", so not much time to stay at home. But, most of the episodes so far took place in either Ponyville or Canterlot, so...not exactly new places. 1 Check out my art thread for some cute ponies, cookies and boops. CT-1138 3,182 September 18, 2015 Share September 18, 2015 Not really. The crystalline stone just seems so cold and unfriendly. The Golden Oaks library really fit her personality much better. 1 Love is a most potent magic My FiMFiction | My DA | My Facebook
SolyWack 482 September 18, 2015 Share September 18, 2015 Not really. The crystalline stone just seems so cold and unfriendly. The Golden Oaks library really fit her personality much better. The Library fit the quaint, and greenhorn (get it because she a unicorn and... Nevermind) Twilight. But she's moving up now. So I think the castle is an okay change in that respect. Plus it fits the personality of Hasbro's wallet if that's any consolation. XD

duidamasterXD 9,627 September 20, 2015 Share September 20, 2015 If we're asking purely whether I'll ever get used to it, sure. We've seen more of it and spent more time in it than we have in RD's house, for example . If we're asking "will you ever think the castle isn't inferior to the library in basically every aspect that doesn't involve selling playsets?" the answer is likely no :V

Jinxie Umbra 149 September 22, 2015 Share September 22, 2015 (edited) I actually like her new castle. Considering that it was created by the Tree of Harmony and somewhat resembles the Crystal Empire, it makes me even more excited about the whole Harmony thing. So much lore to speculate on! And I have a feeling the movie in 2017 will have answers. J. Brony 313 October 6, 2015 Share October 6, 2015 I also prefer Twilight's old digs in the library but the new castle also has some potential. Firstly though, it needs more occupants than just the Mane 6. There needs to be a small army of servants and guards, just as there would be with any other royal castle. Just thinking about poor adorkable Twilight getting frazzled with keeping track of all the paperwork and red tape that comes with managing the goings-on in her own castle would be hilarious in my humble opinion.
