I put 1918 because it was signing of the Treaty of Brest-Lovtov (in March I think). In my opinion (which is probably wrong xD) I thought this was the complete consolidation of the Soviets from the Provisional Government (fulfilling Lenin's slogen of 'peace, land, bread'). Not only that but the Tsar was executed mid 1918 as well, further removing the Tsar's loyalist influence on the new Lenin-Trotsky government. But yea. I should have put '17. I'd say the execution of the Tsar was the nail in the coffin for the imperial regime. But those pesky whites! Ruining everything.
