    I don't think I'm allowed to link NSFW stuff. But the worst fanfic I've come across was not one that was poorly written- but came so far out of left field I actually couldn't finish it. To put it in perspective- I've read all the crazy stuff from SAM, cheerliee's garden, cupcakes, rainbow factory (the big 4) and more without batting an eye. I do recall thinking 'that would have hurt' during a scene in cupcakes- but that's pretty much it. I'm totally not ashamed to admit it got me. Maybe one day I'll finish it.

    Aussie politics is a tad unstable at the moment. We've had 5 prime ministers in 5 years, with the latest overthrow being within the month. Assuming you're ok with compulsory voting and poisonous snakes/spiders I'd say come on over. Also word of warning: we've had flash flooding, bushfires and record heatwaves within the same week- in the same state. In my town there was snow on Sunday and bushfires (like bad ones) on Friday. Just brace yourself ok? Hardcore libertarians unite. I like politics but I love libertarian politics.

    Is there y'know some repellent I could put on? Or am I doomed already? I'd say the execution of the Tsar was the nail in the coffin for the imperial regime. But those pesky whites! Ruining everything. Fun fact: the Reds used former Tsarist officers against the whites and threatened to kill their family if they didn't comply.

    I put 1918 because it was signing of the Treaty of Brest-Lovtov (in March I think). In my opinion (which is probably wrong xD) I thought this was the complete consolidation of the Soviets from the Provisional Government (fulfilling Lenin's slogen of 'peace, land, bread'). Not only that but the Tsar was executed mid 1918 as well, further removing the Tsar's loyalist influence on the new Lenin-Trotsky government. But yea. I should have put '17. Woops.

    Yes yes yes! I quite enjoyed reading about the 2nd Boer War (since that's how scouts started- former scout right here). WW2 is also a favourite. That and the Communist revolution of Russia from 1900-1918.
