The ice around the scorpion started steaming, then melt. The scorpion hissed at them, opened his mouth showing a red glow coming off of it's body and in the mouth. Then ran at them.

Just like Professor Dangles, Freeze didn't think twice about acting. As soon as he saw Flearia's action failed, he grabbed the classroom's fire extinguisher and was prepared to shoot a cloud of white chemicals to the scorpion. The young stallion knew it wouldn't do much, but maybe it could buy some time. "Magnetize it? How the hay are we going to do that?!" Replied to Capriccio in desperation.

The scorpion saw the fire extinguisher, and took it as a threat. He jumped and lowered his tail, puncturing it, then ran out the door, leaving it to spray all over the room. 

 

A few minutes later, Shadow ran into the room and said, 

"Did any pony see a black scorpion, the size of a filly?"

@, Midnight looks at the interesting creature in front of her and says "An interesting creature you have there...  Well I could do with food and with the two of you being in a different house there is clearly no point in going to our houses." Midnight grabs her diary, which she managed to grab after she left her room an started writing some dark thoughts in it while writing... The creature is able to preform magic, this could help is a could learn its magic and transform it into a form of a weapon... I shall ask Flearia if I could take a blood sample... Make a wishy washy story about helping it...

Shadow sank into the portal, until his shadow was all that was seen, then his shadow took off the way the scorpion went, and leaving a cage in it's place

The scorpion ran through the hall, looking into classes, then went into a room. He ran for cover, letting his legs clank as he ran. When he found a perfect place to hide, He curled his tail around him and his pincers. He breathed for a bit, sounding like hissing

The teacher sidled up to his desk, producing a small notepad.  With a glimmer from his horn, a pen began to work across the papers within, creating the promised excuses.  "Since no one's leaving for at least a few minutes," he said, glancing out at the class, "we'd might as well get to know one another.  I planned on doing introductions tomorrow, but I suppose now's as good a time as any to get those out of the way.  You've all heard my story," he smiled.  "Now, I'd like to hear yours."

 

The Professor looked at the unicorn off in the midst of the class.  "I can already see I've got some very talented students this year," he nodded in her direction.  "That was very quick thinking with that ice spell, miss.  Why don't you tell the class your name and something you'd like us to know about yourself.  Where you're from, what kinds of hobbies you like...anything you feel comfortable with."

He met her eyes, eager to hear her story unfold.

After a moment of shock she grabbed it with her hooves and sees it's a scorpion and then calms it downand sees a pony emerge out of the air and recognises him. @@reader8363,

Flearia's hearth stopped for a second as Professor Dangles had asked her to tell her story. She didn't know what to say... What was okey to say? How could she mention specifik things without letting on who she was acctualy talking about? She didn't want that attention! She swallowed hard as she tought on what to say.

 

"Erhm... My name is Flearia... Flearia Dragondanser..." There was a small paus before she continued as she took another heavy breathing and readyed herself to tell her own story.

This lead me to canterlot where I meet a specific pony who took me under her wing and wanted to teach me how to controll my magic. She enter me in CSGU while still teaching me a lot herself.  After I graduated CSGU I'v made some travels around Equestria to serch different magics and report to her about them." Flearia a small paus "My hobbys would be Learning and making magic. Strategic games and problems. Like chess, and I also like to travel!" Flearia ended it there while blushing hard. she hadn't ment to go on about her own story in that much detail! She where relived tough that she hadn't gone into to much detail about a specific area.

Headmaster Greyhoof had been startled by a creature that scurried past his hooves. He watched as it passed him and took a sharp turn inside a classroom. He noticed that it was Professor Turner's classroom. He entered the room and began to quietly search the area. Not noticing much he gently lifted his hat, exposing his shattered horn. He gently spoke some words and his horn began to produce a pure ice blue glow. 

 

"Ah, there you are, a bit scared I assume. Where did you come from my friend?" Greyhoof had enveloped the scorpion in a spell that soothed the beast, keeping it still and calm, he levitated it close to him and turned as he heard a clatter of claws coming from the corridor. 

 

"Mr. Shadow, if you please, in here." He called out to Shadow. 

 

Greyhoof had seen Shadow with his pet before, he knew that he cherished his pet and meant for no harm to come to the beast. He just didn't want it running around the castle scaring the students and staff. 

 

"I do believe this is yours, do be sure to keep a better eye on him." He gave a small smile and released the scorpion from the spell and it gently scurried away from him. He lowered his hat upon his head and he made his way down the hall. "Please be sure to let Professor Dangles know that the castle is once again safe for the students." 

 

The bell rings indicating that class was over and for the students to make their way to their last class of the day. This also indicated the cooks to begin the dinner . The first years would be heading to medical studies. Following that a short break for the students to put away their books and then dinner in the dining hall.

After the long ride in the cart, i finally arrived at the university. I jumped down the cart while levitating my books,clothes,guitar,keyboard, and basically a lot of boxes of my stuff. As i put down the stuff on the ground, i payed the cart owner some bits "Thanks for the ride :D". I put on my hoodie while levitating my stuff again and went inside the university.
I was confused because the university is so big..., i don't know what should i do first, so i sat down on a nearby bench and read the new student information guide stuff..
I put down all my items on the ground beside the bench and suddenly i heard the bell rings.
"what should i do?, should i just sit around here until somepony guide me somewhere, or i could just wonder around the place"
 

i finally decided that i should just wonder around the place, so i levitated all my junk...again, and wonder around inside the university hoping that i could find my class or at least somepony that could help me.

(am i doing it wrong ?)

The professor didn't look bothered that she rambled in the slightest.  In fact, he looked very pleased by her response.  "You've led such an interesting life already for a young mare!" he smiled.  "And I'm definitely happy to hear that you enjoy learning.  For that, you're certainly in the right place, here at the University.  And while I can't teach you all that much about magic directly, I can certainly tell you a great deal about English & Literature that you might find well worth your time."

 

"Certainly, you're aware that so much of Equestria's history is chronicled in the form of stories, yes?" he asked her.  "Legends and lore from the ancient past often find their way into the passages of famous tales.  Some scholars scoff at these tales, thinking that if they're not to be found in the hard and fast history books taught to every young foal and filly, they're simple fiction.  But I can assure you, Miss Dragondanser, that many of these stories -- however fanciful they may seem -- have their roots in truth.  Treasure maps and forgotten rituals, the keys to spells and enchantments yet undiscovered...they can all be found sprinkled through Equestria's literature, if one just knows where to look."

 

"I hope that I can teach you how to find such things, as your studies deepen," he nodded.  He looked as if he were about to turn his attention to another of the students when the sounds of bustling hooves could be heard outside in the hallway.  Evidently, the threat of giant scorpions on the loose had been averted.

The student's cadence sounded familiar to him.  Percy Sheltie?  Robert Sealbrowning?  He couldn't tell.  He'd need to hear him speak a bit more before he decided.  "Wednesday, we'll begin the English component of our class," he told the students.  "I'll also ask another of you to introduce yourself.  Until then, you're all dismissed.  Please have a good day," he smiled.

 

"And watch out for massive black scorpions, hm?"

summer lisened to flearia's story without interupting her, which was really special for summer, and waved to professor script when they left 'bye proffessor' she said smiling, she was happy there was at least one teacher she liked at this school.

she walked out the door and when she entered the hallway she first looked around if there was really no scorpion. then she walked side by side with flearia, freeze and cap to their next class 'one more to go for today, isn't it?' she said. this school was fun but it was also really exhausting. but first days are always the most exhausting and tomorrow it will all be fine she told herself 'what's next mapmare flearia?' summer asked to flearia, she was to lazy to grab her own map from her saddlebag.

Midnight watched Summer and Flearia leave the classroom and walked over to them and said "Hey, sorry i missed lesson I had to work on something. How was It? By the way, Flearia do you mind if I preformed a simple blood test on Irra and you because I wanting to see if I could work out how the harmony magic works between creatures. We could theoretically use it for medicine but I don't really talk to any other ponies or  have even seen a creature like Irra."

Emerald landed outside the school, when Twilight told me a 'holiday'  she failed to mention it would be for a whole year! The Pegasus stood at the school entrance "where do i go like somepony gave me a map? No." She said out loud to no one in particular, however a senior student a rather unassuming brown coated male earth pony with cream mane and tail approached her. "Are you a new student here miss...?" "Miss Bolt or would it be Orange and no i'm a...a teacher?" the word was very strange for Emerald to say. The colt continued "Welcome to the Uni of Canterlot miss Bolt or Orange, if you follow me i'll take you to the head masters chambers he'll be able to point you in the right direction, what are you going to teach?" "I'm to be the gym and self deference teacher."

They were both outside the headmasters room, "here you are miss hope you enjoy teaching here." Before Emerald could say anything he had already left, here goes nothing she knocked on the large door.

Shadow was flying through the halls, with the cage in his front claws, listening to the scorpion hissing lightly. Then he saw an extra cage in the hall. He smiled as he remembered the student who wanted to catch the youngest scorpion he had. Then he saw her walking to her next class. He muttered under his breath, "Speak of the devil." and landed in front of her and her friends.

"Guess the teacher didn't let ya run off. I have the scorpion if you want to see a closer look, without it trying to attack everypony."

Freeze Frame left the classroom with a smile. He had already met some ponies and one teacher who was very friendly; it was a good way to start the school year. Since he didn't know where the next class was, he decided to follow Flearia and Summer Breeze, "They know where the next class is for sure," told to himself. As the unicorn got closer to the young mares, he could appreciate that they were talking to a colt who carried a cage with him. When Freeze saw what was inside the cage, he ran fast to join the group of ponies: "Woooah! How did you catch it?!" asked to the colt with an expression of both curiosity and excitement at the same time.

Emerald scuffed her hoof, on the floor in boredom waiting for anypony to talk to her, I'm board of this, let's see if i can make some entertainment. She chuckled "hmm let's see". She tapped her hoof that'll do, she took off to a few feet and prepped herself. Her appearance changed to that of her vampire side, her features change drastically her fur became scruffy, her mane and tail became ragged and her wings became something that looked like a bats wings. (OOC: just picture Emerald's appearance as similar to Flutterbat) "I'm gonna scare the wits out of the students, drum up some sign ups for self deference" Her fangs extended and the look was complete, she charged down the halls terrorizing eveypony she flew past. This is fun as heck!

summer looked at the scorpion, it was so... majestic, and terifying at the same time. 'if that's the youngest one, then how big would the older ones be?' summer asked shadow. then she stretched out her hoof to touch the scorpion. he was warmer as she thought, like he had a little fire burning inside of him. 'isn't he cute?!' summer said to flearia, but she didn't realy expect an awnser. then she remembered that she didn't help to catch the scorpion 'sorry i couldn't help you, professor dangles said we couldn't leave, it was to dangerous' she said while rolling her eyes. this scorpion wasn't any more dangerous as the timberwolves in the ever free, and she had seen loads of them. but this scorpion was much more suitable as a pet then a timberwolf, but still, it was a really strange pet. why would you have a robot scorpions as a pet, and where did he get them?

The professor nodded back in the young mare's direction.  She had a lovely, flowing pink mane and a cutie mark in the form of three pink flowers, tousled by an invisible breeze.  There was something delicate and shy about her that made him smile.  She would have, he decided, made an excellent character in a novel.  "Goodbye," he bade her.  "I'll see you on Wednesday."  Perhaps he'd call on her to tell her story, their next class.

When the last student left the room, Professor Dangles walked over to the table, arranging what was left of the books and syllabi atop its flat.  He was pleased to see that it appeared that everyone had taken one of each before leaving.  This was going to be a good year, he decided to himself with a smile.

 

He took a quick look over his shoulder in the direction of his desk.  That is, as long as no more massive scorpions decide to crash the class.  He was going to have to say something about that to Headmaster Greyhooves.

 

He wasn't about to have any of his students endangered that way.
