Overall it's actually really great.   Best of all, it's not christian themed,  even though there are variations on usually jesus-themed songs.  Silent Night comes to mind right away. It's not really a matter of being PC as much as it's focusing more on a general feeling of family, and the spirit of the holiday, and that's quite nice.

 

Also included is the most depressing song you're gonna hear applejack sing.   Like....really.  It's a lovely remake of Auld Lang Syne,  but dang,  if you're not expecting it then prepared to be punched in the heart. 

 

Also also,  Pop Fly.  No idea who he is,  but it almost sounds like Button Mash from the jan animations.

 

Finally,  it just has that lovely feel of Daniel Ingrams music too it,   not quite as epic as the CMC butt branding episode,  but still just overall great.   Put it on the shelf along with the Mr Hanky Christmas special as a great take of modern culture and Christmas classics mixing for some break from traditional songs that will be drilling into our heads for the next 2 and a half months.

Specifically mentioning Christmas is kinda bugging me. It's veering a bit too close to incorporating real-world religious themes into the MLP universe (ESPECIALLY "Silent Night").

 

Although it's probably not canon so I don't really care.

Well clearly you care enough to voice concern.

I didn't think the ponies celebrated Christmas.

They don't but remember those specials in the nineties where you had all of the characters from a network's show celebrating Christmas together in a sort of cross over shared universe? This is like that, a sort of non canon digression with the characters celebrating the spirit of a holiday that otherwise may not make sense in context.

 

(Although let's be honest Heart's Warmings Eve pretty much IS Christmas, even celebrating it's same themes of peaceful unity and warmth.)

Just listening to it on youtube and I LOVE it! It's already getting me into the Christmas spirit!

 

Can anypony else besides me just close there eyes while listening to a pony kind of Chistmas and practically see them all singing and doing holiday activities? Or am I weird(er)?

I listened to it and while I was a little skeptical at first because given today's society, they had to walk on eggshells with certain songs (Silent Night is a big example of this) but for a cheap little novelty album, I dig it. 

 

Still doesn't beat Simpsons Christmas Boogie as my favorite novelty Christmas album though.
