Lil Pip 775 February 11, 2017 Share February 11, 2017 You obviously can appreciate many things with no problem, but people who literally worship characters from a TV show or (like the thread is titled) BELIEVE in celestia then that is just moronic. Sure they can look at the character as inspiration or like her personality or what she stands for but to believe that she is real or worship her is just... ugh... another sad case of people in this fandom taking the show way, way to far. Actually, yeah, because I don't like the submissive idea, how osme might approach this Celestia thing, despite her in the show showing she doesn't really like it when people treat her that way, that episode with the Phoenix in it for instance, which does hint to her strange behavior in that episode with the Smooze, but it still took people by surprise, she isn't very showing of her true personality often. The Nth Doctor 664 February 11, 2017 Share February 11, 2017 She never does anything, so she'd be perfect object of worship for a vast majority of bronies I imagine I much prefer the softer light of the moon though Also because I'm a night person and tend to hiss and snarl at the sun when it wakes me from my slumber 1 "I love deadlines. Foxy Socks 2,602 February 11, 2017 Share February 11, 2017 (edited) Realistically, it sounds a bit worrisome if someone is obsessed with a show enough to actually think a character is a deity. That sounds quite unhealthy to me, unless you mean in an alternate universe/in Equestria. That sounds quite unhealthy to me, unless you mean in an alternate universe/in Equestria. nothing new, we have people who thinks fictional characters have been real for thousands of years. it's common for religions. Her whole philosophy seems to be to sit back and let others do what they deem necessary, and only intervene when it is really needed. Her approach to delegation makes her a very apt supreme leader. Contrasting this to religion we often see these days, yeah..... Oh and don't forget about how gorgeous and motherly she is! If there is some sort of personal afterlife (not holding my breath on that) she would be my mother. atleast she does her job when needed, royal stuff, not much saving the world stuff. she and Luna did indeed save several things a thousand years ago.

Olsen1987 133 February 11, 2017 Share February 11, 2017 Yea, but from a show, it seems a bit obsessive, even to me. it's unhealthy to be obsessed by anything that doesn't exist. it never brought the world any good. atleast Celestia is a 1000 times better choice than certain others. Olsen1987 133 February 11, 2017 Share February 11, 2017 It's so dumb when people in this fandom say ''I believe equestria is real'' or ''I believe / worship in celestia or X character because other religions are fictional and bad hurrrrrr''. You are trying to make an excuse to justify your unhealthy over obsession with a Children's show by comparing it to real world religions, see the difference there? Look... Like not to be mean, but if your balmy enough to try to justify believing in a character is real enough in a kiddies show aimed at children as young as six then there isn't much any of us can say to convince you. You should probably get some help. i'm not trying to justify anything. real world religions are based on something that doesn't exist, something manmade. so i can return fire here and ask if you're trying to justify religion based on...fiction? ProbablyNotLyra 94 February 13, 2017 Share February 13, 2017 Probably a bit late to give my opinion, but Worshipping Celestia, in all honesty, makes no sense whatsoever. Not trying to be rude, but we've already seen in show cannon she isn't worshipped. There are no shrines, no sacrifices, no 'Latter Day Church of Celestia', nothing even remotely religious about her. She raises the sun, and ponies admire her. She is simply a powerful (and tall), alicorn. Believing in her in real life though, as some sort of goddess... is kind of stupid. She obviously isn't one. Believing in her in real life as a powerful, loved, and important figure? Why not. I'd bet Celestia would appreciate it. Me? New Lunar Republic all the way. I'll take a ruler of a 'god' any day. (Or night) - - - SACRIFICE - - - I would fight to make that bright and innocent past our future once again. Even if it means dashing myself against the evil and cruelty of this wasteland until there is nothing left of me.
