Surrounded by empty bottles Audacia was pouring the intoxicating contents of another into her mouth before throwing the glass bottle on the floor. Sighing heavily she got up from her uncomfortable seating and walked around her quarters, Drinking was her way of coping with the situation, But in actuality it wasn't making anything better in any way. She gathered herself before once again dragging herself out on the deck, The crew had partially cleaned it up, And some were preparing the multitude of damages the ship had suffered. She took her position behind the ship's wheel and further distanced the two ships, Even though being drunk she strongly believed that would only improve her steering.

Hearing his captain call his two 'officers' Nova took interest and decided to see what was up, if nothing else he could make himself useful and lend some muscle, or at least keep the rest of the crew out of his main.

Trotting up to where Facade was standing, Nova could see the open floorboard, he could also hear whimpering coming from with in. Two and two came together like a cannonball to the face.

  "Oh buck..."

Façade glanced back when he heard the "Oh Buck...." And replied to Nova, "Secure this ship, take the wheel, fly the navy's colors, and get us straight to that damned harbor. We do not transport slaves. Wait, bring us near the harbor, and wait for further instructions. Also find Missklang and Mr. Night."

 

To the mare and three fillies under the boards, he shushed them to calm them down. "Who did this to you?" The mare just continued to shake, obviously frightened. Then to Nova again, "I don't even think she understands common, this is a problem. Grab some books off my shelf, and then carry out the rest of your orders." Façade started to pick up the fillies out of the hole, and set them by each other, he grabbed a blanket off a nearby hammock, and draped it around the fillies, and then he hefted up the mare, and got an extra blanket for her. She seemed to calm down, and then started to speak rapid fire in a language he didn't recognize. "Buck this."

 Nova hurried to the captains cabin, he found three language translation tombs and grabbed them. On the way back he came across Missklang and Night.

  "Night, Missklang! Captain wants you right away, follow me!"

Nova led the other back below deck, they were greeted with the rambling of the mare. Nova cocked his head, the language sounded familiar but he couldn't place where he knew it from. Levitating over the tombs, Nova nodded his head and preceded back up on deck to take the wheel. 

At the wheel, Nova began to navigate the ship towards the harbor.

  "All hoofs! Fly Navy colors, use the 12th Fleet Guard flag. And make ready to lay anchor!"

 Nova hurried to the captains cabin, he found three language translation tombs and grabbed them. On the way back he came across Missklang and Night.

  "Night, Missklang! Captain wants you right away, follow me!"

Nova led the other back below deck, they were greeted with the rambling of the mare. Nova cocked his head, the language sounded familiar but he couldn't place where he knew it from. Levitating over the tombs, Nova nodded his head and preceded back up on deck to take the wheel. 

At the wheel, Nova began to navigate the ship towards the harbor.

Night followed Nova to the captain, where he saw a few fillies and a mare, and asked the mare questionably Ad quid venisti?

he turned his head and whispered to Darkhaert I don't know who they are or why they are here, i might be able to have them live on my island for a few days...

Missklang levitated a potion to the mare.

 

"Night, tell her to drink this. It's a camomile extract. It will calm her down for a bit. But anyway, we need to move them from here. It's too cold. Do we have an empty bunk?"

 

Missklang smiled warmly to the mare. He got a feeling that he saw her somewhere already...

"Yes, and what language is that? I'm afraid I might need to rework my language skills." Façade adjusted several hammocks and had the fillies and mare put into them. "Guard this area, anypony aside from Nova, Me, Missklang comes. Let me know. And if they ignore you, well... Bring them to me, or if they resist, kill them."

Missklang looked at the trembling ponies. They look so scared and lost. Perhaps some years in the past he would feel sorry for them. Or even feel pity, but now, he looked at them with no interest at all. As he was a skilled actor, he knew how to fake a face, so he tried to put on a comforting smile. But something really picked his curiosity. The more he looked at them, the more familiar they looked. On the occasion, he would investigate but for now, captain's orders were the top priority...

 

"I think it's latin captain. Am I right Night? I don't think they are in condition to be of any threat. Perhaps they bare some useful knowledge we can make use off. I don't think killing them would be such a good idea before we figure out who they are. If they are some kind of royalty or high-class, we could attract unwanted attention or make unwanted enemies..."

As he stood guard sword in hoof and opened a near by bottle of rum and drank a few sips, and said to thyself I need some good wine, this muck is not for me...

"Griffons! Why was I so stupid, that must be Latin, and Latin is spoken in Roam." Façade muttered looking at the once-slaves. "My friends, we have a slave trader on board, and I think I need to make a statement. I'm gonna execute the creature that put them in this misery, and I will kneelhaul that bastard until he's nearly dead, and then I'll kill him." Façade literally jumped up the steps, "Missklang, I will need your skills for this one. We're interrogating the entire crew."

"How you pony can even drink such things? Not even talking of enjoying it... I believe there is some wine somewere. We grabbed from the latest ship we attacked" 

 

Missklang took another potion with a white liquid from his bag and levitated to the mare while taking the empty one back.

 

"Imbibo hoc laxus. Is mos succurro"

 

He turned to Night. And asked him:

 

"Did I said this right? This will help them sleep and recover force."

It's horrible, so when I find the pony or griffon responsible for this. I'm going to kill them. If you've got nothing to hide, then don't." It was dead silent. "And I know that you know of Missklang's abilities in interrogation." Several of the crew members started to shake.

For his part, at the wheel Nova didn't even flinch. Naturally he didn't have anything to do with the salves, and he knew Missklang would find out though 'aggressive interviews', so planting evident was out of the question, all in all he was in the clear.

  Although I do all most feel bad for the bastard that did this, almost.

"We are going to have sooo mch fun together. It's for your own good to denounce yourself immediately. You will die anyway but the suffering wont be so bad... So? Who want to start? Or perhaps I get to choose?"

 

He started laughing.

Nova looked around, enerypony was nervous, and with good reason. Missklang was good at causing pain, so much that he made it an art form, a scary bloody art. Weighing his options Nova could do one of two things:

A:) Let Missklang 'interview' him up front, after all he didn't have anything to hide.

or B:)just wait for him to get around to Nova and clear the air then. 

Mulling it over a moment Nova decided to just get it over with, and hope he didn't regret it.

  "I an't got nothing to hide, I'll be first."

Night watched as Missklang interrogated Nova

 

And said to himself Hehe, you guys entertain me...

 

As he had a flashback to his horrid childhood, for some reason and continued his sentence, this time, shouting to the crew that was on the deck

 

...Who DID THIS?! Answer me, or die by my sword, a lumine lunae Tell me... Who ever it is.... Will have a slow, cold, and painful death...

 

Night raged...

 

After a while he calmed down and asked the mare

Missklang lead Nova to the interrogation room. He attached him to the chair and smiled.

 

"I don't honestly like physical interrogations so, for now, I'm gonna let droplets of ice cold water slowly drip on you while you are attached here. While you are entertained, I'll grab some vials that would help. You see, first, I will now if you are the one that brought slaves onboard. Only then, I will erase your memory of me saying all this and have the leisure to have fun. The innocent doesn't deserve suffering."

The mare looked over at Night, "Ventus Aestas, Kalendarum, et Median Noctem" she replied. She glanced over that the hammocks containing the fillies, "gratias tibi" she said. She then felt drowsy, and fell asleep. She felt safe for the first time ever, even amongst these pirates.

"Well ladies to be honest, considering that neither of you have a whole lot of navel experience there's only so much you can do. Prime the canons, oh and make sure you put some chain shot in. I want to disable those pirate ships when we do find them. Oh and  take down the Equestrian flag, I believe we have some neutral colors somewhere. It'll give us the jump on them." he thought that was a good start "And for land sakes snap too it" he added for some extra measure

Façade let Missklang handle the interrogation, and he went up to the helm. "Unfurl the topsails mates, we've got a island to go to, and wait a minute...." Façade knew his eyesight was like an eagle's and he thought he had spotted a ship, it was rather far out. Façade pulled out his spyglass, and zoomed in on the other ship. "What in the name of Tartarus is that?! Wait.... Those neutral colors... It's a trap... Pirate Hunters!!!" He shouted. He flew to the Captain's wheel, and then started to turn the ship around, until he realized Audacia was still out there!!! He face-hoofed. "But they might be actually neutral, he muttered, but more than likely it was pirate hunters. The only reason he knew that was because of his time in the naval academy. It was an older flag, so this guy knew what he was doing. "Why!!!!" He shouted.

As she whistled, she spotted another ship on the horizon. Sapphire almost choked on the drink she was having, "CAPTAIN CITRUS! SHIP ON THE STARBOARD BOW". She was semi impressed with herself that she got that right. She however could not make out any of the other ships features so, was unsure weather it was a friendly, neutral or hostile. "You take the wheel" the crewman took the wheel as she ran on deck. "MARINES TO ME" There was a hive of activity on the ship...

The captain sighed "Settle down everyone, settle down" he looked at the ship in the distance. "Hard to say exactly what it is... Marines, why don't you all take a respite down below deck, no need to scare the poor fellows if it be some fisher-mares. Oh and bring me up a table... and one of my barrels full of orange juice. " a bit confused the crew followed orders in good time. Turning to his two trusted Sargent of arms. "Sapphire, take the the helm please, and for now leave the talking to me. Banner stay on guard, do your best not to be hostile. Even if these are pirates, I want to have a little parlay with them." he actually smiled and sat down at the rough table and began pouring mugs of orange juice "Whatever happens I do believe we're having some company" he didn't become a wealthy merchant blowing ponies to kingdom come after all

"Normally ponies want me to be hostile but whatever your planing we still have all the chain shots loaded and ready to fire on any ship that sails these seas" Banner said as she looked out to the ship trying to see anything she could to find out if they were pirates or not "I really hope that if there is bloodshed, it will be a pirates"
